I never liked any of his previous stuff. It's just indie folk garbage. Will this new album have anything for me?

Only 1 right anwser

KEK

I like his stuff a lot, but this one is effects-heavy. You might like it, who knows

No. It's even worse.

...

...

Though I haven't really been listening to that much new music lately

its a teensy bit more experimental
this is the tracklist

Not even memeing.

Solid choice though.

it's Swans' Glowing Man, Man

Did you only listen to For Emma?

Ain't it funny is next level. Solid album

The lyrics & production blows me away Every Time I listen to it

Do you know what this movie is a sample of about "putting your stuff out on the street"

What's so good about this album? Haven't listened to it, but I pretty much avoid metalcore. Is it really worth listening to?

fuck a backpackin nigger

...

Yeah, I've grown out of any -core scenes, and generally dislike it nowadays but this album really struck me with its quality. Like I said, the lyrics are really good and theres a thematic consistency all the way. Also its a lot more crisp and melodic than you'd expect

The vocals are probably the hardest part to enjoy if you dont like the genre at all

:/
I feel like this is gonna be a popular opinion, and I disagree.

here's everything that came close to being an AOTY contender for me

second favorite of the year
plays the music of twin peaks is pretty great
blackstar is obviously great
wish it went a bit further with the experimentation
a bit campy, with not much that i feel i'll be returning to. it's not as terrible as some say it is on here
good choices
pretty good

basically no competition for worst of the year

I think the closest is Rob Zombie and interestingly Corey has at least one song thats a pretty similar style.

this one's mine too

nice to see ash koosha and dalek getting some recognition, even if i think those albums were pretty weak

...

yeah and it's not even close

underrepresented album of 2016

This is garbage

This desu

Are we gonna start seeing more hip hop/post punk crossovers? Is this a thing? Please be a thing.

No, it's what the artist prefers.

Yikes

...

no, and it's not post punk

GREEN DAY IS IN THE RIGHT THREAD NOW REEEEEEE

Right year, bud.

I don't know why I love this album so much I just do

Honestly low key want to make this series my AOTY but it's so long

I love it to death though

this is the only true answer

especially elseq 3

haven't been listening to alot of new releases this year outside of Next THing

...

I didn't care one bit about Bon Iver before this album but I loved this one pretty much on first listen.

It's the Radiohead of folk.
Hyped as experimental, not actually experimental, but still good

This.
