ETIQUETTE - Include correct format (artist / band, title of release, year of release, cover art, the file type (v0, 320 mp3, FLAC, etc), short description, YouTube sample, link) - Send thanks if you have downloaded something to let them know they did a good thing - Avoid sharing / requesting things that are already on the archive - Soulseek /rutracker are your friends, too - just don't argue in this thread about it - no samples on Youtube, Soundcloud? Drag'n'drop any MP3 on clyp.it
REQUESTS >I have a request! Did I... - Check the archive for a live link before requesting? - Share something first? - google "blogspot + artist name + album name"
ARCHIVE >"I don't know how to find what I'm looking for in the archive" - Go here: >>archive.rebeccablacktech.com/mu/ - When searching, limit your search to links only, like so: "desired album mega|zippyshare|mediafire" - Make sure you've typed "zippyshare" and not "zippy", or else Zippyshare links will not be found.
Yeah it may take awhile. All the files are like that on that website. But hey, it's free high quality music !
Charles Gomez
I'm pretty sure I've used this site before but I seem to remember them passwording their stuff. That's why I didn't bother before. We'll see.
Christopher Martin
Both links aren't letting me get past the permission denied block.
Kevin Morales
I adjusted my mediafire account settings. I haven't used it in a while. Maybe that could be the problem...Try again, If it doesn't work, i'll try to figure something out. Do you know any other file sharing sites like mediafire?
Charles Carter
Damn, it's not working for me either. I signed out and tried to download it but it says "Permission Denied". Well here's a link to the full mp3 320kbps album download
Little-ish known Irish band lead by the also lesser known little brother of one Kevin Shields, namely Jimi Shields, this band released a lovely debut album in 1993 (94?) which was pretty much in line with the noisy, dreamy pop rock of the era, sort of an afterthought of the original wave of shoegaze arguably started by his brother.
Don't dismiss this as shoegaze-related memorabilia, though, since this album presents a very distinct sound, memorable, even, that combines the "post-shoegaze" (for lack of a better term) sort of inbetween sound of bands like Prolapse, Telstar Ponies, Quickspace et al, with heavy neopsych leanings, carried forward by patterns of catchy, engaging pop rock compositions in the vein of late-era Cocteau Twins via early Blur (though not nearly as "britpop") all of it spiked with electronic timbres reminiscent of the music people like Kieran Hebden would be doing some 5-7 years later. It's very imaginate, very textured and, while the album takes cues from a number of pre-existing bands (though not reaching that far back in time), it manages to create an unique, engaging sound that luckily both sets it apart from its contemporaries and helps it escape from the shadow of his brother's monolithic and influential works. The lyrics, also, are apparently very clever.
In short, it's a noisy, psychedelic, dreamy album of electronic-infused alternative rock. Did you feel like OK Computer could have had more upbeat tracks and could have sacrificed some ambiance in exchange for stronger hooks? Or do you dream of an album that's a midpoint between The Bends and OK Computer? Do you think that Palo Alto the best Radiohead song of that era? Do you sometimes wish Loveless had had a more psychedelic/experimental sequel five years after its release? Do you like good alt rock? This album, then, is for you.
What's up with the name of the file? Anorexic skater
Jacob Lopez
nvm lol. I saw the rest of the name now. I get it now
Carson Morgan
I always rename the .rars as funny (at least to me) versions of the artist - album name. Idunno, it makes me chuckle.
Jose Torres
Is it ok to upload in mega using my only account?
Charles Campbell
hijacking this thread are there some other albums like yet? Still haven't found anything similar.
Zachary Baker
why not make another if you get deleted
Benjamin Cox
thanks!
Joseph Evans
I haven't had any issues with mine yet but what's the likelihood of takedowns? Does it just become less common the more obscure the music is or is mega scouring all the time
Jayden Flores
Also, how do I make 320 kbps OC?
Benjamin Clark
it is based on the label / distributor having the resources to manage a bot army that automatically searches for mega links and then submits takedown requests to the hoster. Mainstream stuff will get taken down quickly, bandcamp stuff never
stop, go to /prod/
Alexander Myers
It's not for sharing my creation, It's because I want to contribute in sharethread
Alexander Sanders
any djent
Julian Garcia
I assumed so, but the answer depends on what you're using (even though it should probably be obvious most of the time) and /prod/ will know, and they're the thread for it Unless you mean converting a flac or wav rip into 320 in which case just use foobar
Grayson Johnson
thanks for this m8! awesome
James Gomez
nadja has a few but they aren't very good
true widow also does doom + shoegaze but it's a lot more stoner rock-y and less noisy
I find that some of the more droney noise rock like yellow swans, ramleh, or the goslings has a somewhat similar feeling
the latest chelsea wolfe album has a few similarities, especially in the industrial-tinged percussion
Liam Adams
Should've said that I already like Nadja. I think they are veery good but not close enough to TAP. What do you dislike about them?
I can see the connection to Chelsea Wolfe actually, didn't think of that. True Widow are good but yeah, more stoner-y indeed. I'll look up the other artists you mentioned.
Caleb James
>What do you dislike about them mostly that everything i like about them TAP does better so I never feel the need to listen to them.
also, if you haven't listened to the rest of TAP's discog you should. a lot of people stop with either WSWS or coma waering and they do have more material that is almost as good
Aiden Reyes
Huh. Looked up Yellow Swans and stumbled upon Going Places. Really digging the album so far. Thanks user.
Christopher Scott
oh yeah i have their full discography, apart from that self titeld EP i've never ever seen.
Dominic Hernandez
yeah that's the only one I don't have either. yellow swans is great, they have a very solid discography that is well worth exploring
Samuel Thompson
I'm a bit of a legalfag and they don't seem to be availible at my local library so we'll see how that goes. Do think I'll pick up Going Places for starters though.
Thomas Brooks

I've found soulseek more helpful for the Tragically Hip than the archive or anything else.
>Queens of the Stone Age & Kyuss >Mr. Bungle >Pig Destroyer >Squirrel Nut Zippers >(Next up) Ween >(Next up) Jane's Addiction & Porno for Pyros complete studio albums. plus other miscellaneous artists and albums. Taking Zappa requests.
requesting Gregory and the hawk - Moenie and kitchi in either 320 or Vo.All the link in archives are dead and there are only shitty bitrate available in soulseek
Jacob Ortiz
You do realize that it is so rare that it's not even online? It's pretty much in a similar situation to that Godspeed tape where Jeff doesn't want it released and the very few cassettes that exist have never surfaced. If Jeff or someone else at Elephant 6 decided to release it along with Cranberry Lifecycle, that would be a miracle.
Joseph Long
accidentally stumbled on this about a week ago on youtube and have been loving it, thanks!
Hunter Jenkins
This is a bit of a stretch, but is that guy who shared all those Spacemen 3 albums still around? The links in the archive are dead and I wanted to know if he could re-upload?
