The company exists but it could still be a scam, ask your isp if they sent it.

You didn't use a proxy?

I just googled them, seems legit

Check em

...

Don't reply or acnowledge them, the only info they have is that your ip address downloaded something.

It's a scare tactic, their shit wont hold up in court, trust me.

>brazzers
you do realize there's more porn available for free legally online than you could watch in a lifetime, right?

This is a pic I found online. Another very similar example.

Ignore it, they are just trying to make money from you with intimidation. They won't take it further.

I mean they do have the compliancy of the ISP if he got this letter. Doesn't that mean that the ISP can give and has to give the adress if it evovles into to a civil despute?

Unless you're loaded it's a net loss for them even if they win.

Ignore it faggot.

It won't. The most they can do is coerce the ISP to shut down his internet unless he gives more info.

Wow, I hate Comcast now.

How is this shit legal. Is it not extortion??

Ignore.

well they are hired by Brazzers to hunt down torrentors, these people are like Internet Bounty hunters.

I might have fukd up by going to the website and entering in the case number and a password.

But I did this on my 4G network, it was in a different ISP. So I'm still OK right?

If this is OP they know who you are now and you're fucked.

The illegal ones are more like 'give us the money or we'll tell people about all the porn you torrented'.
The notices like OPs are usually legal in the US, but, of course, you don't actually have to give them the money.

In general, you should just ignore them and never respond to anything.

The phone policy is not under my name. Hell I don't even live close to it's billing address.

I hope you're trolling

Ignore it, OP

These lawyers put hundreds and thousands of IPs in a mass lawsuit docket. The judge goes "fuck no" and it gets dropped.

It happened to me 4 years ago. I got a letter from Head Jew Ita Siegel. Fuck that Jew. Ignored it, problem went away.

I'm not. I freaked out

You've already been told what to do, they have no way to make you pay. It's a bluff and it works often because people are intimidated, ignore it.

Had something similar like this happen to me. Instead I forgot to stop seeding something and ISP sent me a letter to stop doing it because I hit strike 1 out of 4 for violating copyright. I uploaded something like 700gb of Wolf of Wall Street movie.

As this was apparently strike 1 out of 4, it was just a warning. The other strikes said they would lower my bandwith and thats all.

I just stopped seeding recognizable Hollywood films I torrent, so far have not had a problem since.

Verizon is my ISP btw. But OPs letter is entirely on a different level if its even legit.

I have on multiple accounts been unable to post on Cred Forums because someone on my 4g carrier connection keeps using it for posting CP.

First time I was freaked out but then I realized I was not even on Cred Forums the time of the ban. End up having to send ban appeal every time this happens...

The ISP can only forward the threatening letter to the customer, but they can't tell the sender of the letter who the customer is without a court order.

I've had the same thing happen to me. I'm not sure how 4g networks work TBH, do we not have our own individual ips?

Sometimes I check mine and it puts me in Puerto Rico or Detroit. So I guess not, since the signal just gets redirected to a specific point.
