You obviously are "that" fat. I'm a little over weight and hate the fact that I'm overweight, and do everything that I possibly can to try keep my weight in check. I'm not a gung-ho fitness nut, and I do eat fast food from time to time. I have a very tight schedule and tend to have to eat on the fly sometimes due to lack of time, but work out whenever possible, one of my jobs itself is a 2-4 hour work out per day.

It's people that make excuses and refuse to change their tv-surfing, potato chip eating life style who are the ones that constantly bitch and nag when somebody finally decides to tell you that you're a lazy, unhealthy fuck after watching you literally destroy yourself for so long.

If you want to lose weight take a few mins to better your life and read the sticky, Google calorie calculator, key in the 3 or so variables, get all the math done for you, shoot for 500-1000 cal deficit. I lost most of my father during a small layoff where I barely moved. To give you an example, if you're just over maintenance in calorie intake, 3 cans of pop (480cal) will mean the difference between staying fat and losing a lb a week, the way I see it is 500cal a day isn't worth the loss of confidence, health, strength, agility etc. Your body will be telling you fuck no for a week or two but will soon adjust and you will feel full of much less than you were accustomed to eating. Rule of thumb, view calories like a jewelry sees pennies and the lbs will fly off with no effort on your part,

Also an added bonus after I lost the fat was I had shit tons more energy, when I started working again I'd cycle 10 km after work 3-4 times a week so I wouldn't feel anxious/restless

TLDR: eat/ drink 500 cal less, lose a lb a week, movement is completely optional.

i use to live off swedish fish when i was a kid. my mother would never cook and i never learned how to. i have never and will never be as skinny as i was when i was on the swedish fish diet.

People also tend to overestimate their calories burned, most boards probably burn 90 % of their daily calories maintaining vital body functions I might burn as as much as 25% of what I eat on a good day, you jog or cycle for an hour then eat half a bag of doritos you might break even if you're lucky, it kills me how hard some of these people try but get no results. I guarantee you these people try harder than I ever did but you'd never know by comparing us

They don't blindly take anything you shove down your gullet and process it all the same. Let's say you drank diesel. Calorically, that's pretty dense stuff. But your body isn't going to treat it the same way it would carbohydrate, fat, or protein. Similarly, your body isn't even going to process carbohydrate the same way it'll process fat or protein. And here's the news: your body isn't going to process all sources of carbohydrate the same way. Let's say you drink 100 Calories of sucrose in a soda bottle or you eat 100 Calories of glucose in a bowl of white rice. The former hits your bloodstream like a bullet train. The latter takes time.
These are simple examples that anyone can follow. Maybe you're interested now. Maybe you'll read up on some NIH or JAMA papers instead of pretending that knowing the second law of thermodynamics is the same as having a degree in nutrition and exercise science.

I work in a fast-paced, heavy lifting environment 5-6 days a week. I eat something small, like a piece of toast or a scrambled egg in the morning. Go to work and drink a shit ton of water to keep hydrated. When I get home, I'm hardly ever hungry but force myself to eat a small lunch/dinner depending on what time I get back.

Later on I usually eat a good portion of meat and usually two servings of vegetables. A little later on I sometimes eat some kind of fruit or nuts.

I have a shit metabolism, I gain weight about twice as fast as I lose it. I'm still slightly overweight, but I steadily lose weight during the months(9 on, 3 months off per year) that I work that particular job.

It really is fucking simple. What these fat fucks, for some reason, don't understand is that it isn't an immediate solution. It's okay to have a shitty metabolism, that is literally the one and only part that you can not help. That is the only part of you being fat that is due to your genetics.

Obviously not everybody is the world is going to have a super fast metabolism and look like a Greek god from jacking off and walking around a few times a week. YOU not being in shape boils down to YOUR laziness, lack of self discipline, and simple fucking ignorance and arrogance.

What you're doing when you're in a state of calorie-deficiency is you're starving yourself. Your body goes into starving mode, and you start burning your own fat, that's where the weight loss comes in. But your body doesn't forget where it was. It still has its remembered weight that it wants to be at. Once you stop depriving yourself of your calories and following your natural appetite, all the weight comes roaring back. How do you explain this? Yes, there are differences between people's metabolism, and that's the part they can't control. But they are responsible for their eating habits. The worst meals nutrition-wise are the cheapest ones. The food industry sells pretty fucked up products, but people are stupid enough to buy them.

For example, the skinniest people I associate with put in the least effort into their diet, factors like metabolism, genetics and lifestyle mean the difficulty of weight loss varies immensely. For example, I'm in pretty good shape but it makes it easier because I don't have a car, cycle to and from work, work a physical job as a labourer and wherever, am single and too lazy

Diets based on calorie counting aren't sustainable as a whole. I'll give you the short of it and a TED talk, how about it?
There are two types of diets. Diets that count (or try to count) calories, and intuitive diets. Counting your calories and trying to hit some "maintenance level" ends up being pretty absurd when you do the math. You overeat by about a spoonful a day and you go from thin as a twink to obese in twenty years. I know, I know, "twenty years? by not counting calories you'll have been dead of coronary disease by then!" But like I said, that's just with the accepted formula and just by overeating by a spoonful a day.
On the other side we have our intuitive diets. These are the ones that have an idea about what to eat and what not to eat, rather than about how much of it. Pic related. It's an intuitive diet developed in 1951 that's extremely simple and easy to follow. The crazy thing is that it worked.

I've known this girl for so long that wanted to be a girlfriend of mine. But she's fat as hell. Counting calories puts you on the right track though and gives you a feel for how much a proper serving should be, for me, the 'what' followed. Ie. I could eat 500 cal in brownies or I could eat something filling / nutritious , better yet, have 100 cal of brownie and have your meal too, the first few bites are always the best imo so why not stop there?

Yeah but although anyone can lose weight the amount of work you put in is not directly proportionate to your weight. I'd blame lack of proper education and corporations exaggerated serving size, shit food etc people joke about the stereotypical fat person's '....and a large diet coke' as bad for you as sweetener is, I'd wager that makes a difference of 600 cal, which is honestly pretty substantial, it's the difference between losing a lb a week and gaining a couple pounds a year or so. This, I'm an odd ball because this actually encouraged me to work on my problem although it wasnt nearly as bad as some, in some cases obesity is a vicious cycle. If you're a couple hundred pounds overweight it may seem impossible to lose it, you call someone fat and they're more likely to consolation eat than to delve into the daunting task of fixing the problem. Imo it's just a byproduct of a successful species, what was once an evolutionary advantage is no longer needed in the first world and it's our talk to fight millions of years of evolved instinct and biology, should be something parents teach their kids from a young age to be mindful of but when you see kids that are raised in poor dietary circumstances, can you really blame them for growing into fat adults? I'm thankful my mum took efforts to raise my sibling and I on proper eating habits

I'm a fat fucker and it bothers me. I'm a little over six feet tall and have been bouncing back and forth between 280something and a bit over 300 pounds. I have a gym membership and I try to eat better, but because of my horrible work shift I eat fast food for lunch five days a week. I do my best to cut down on snacking at work too, but it's tough when the machines take credit cards now.

The thing is though I'm not one of those out of shape hambeasts whose heart pumps not blood but cheese. My job has me on my feet a lot and I like taking bike rides and such. I don't know any other technically obese people who can just hop on their bicycle and take a 20 mile ride like it's nothing.

I really don't think I'll be able to break the chain till I get a better job and stop being a night shift zombie. Luckily my place of employment has been going to shit at an alarming rate, so I'm motivated to find something else to do.

The key is to make long term changes not just for the diet period and you do adjust to lower intake, your body will eventually break down old empty fat cells (usually after a break in the diet oddly enough) if you don't go about it foolishly, there's no reason you can't lose weight and keep it off. Proper education is a big factor, we are told that if we exercise we will lose weight, people don't realize how easy it is to counteract your efforts with all the calorie dense food that is most readily available these days. I imagine at one point I used to wager I needed about 3000 calories a day and one might burn in the neighbourhood of 1000 calories during a one hour workout. Sadly those numbers are probably more like 2000 and 300, it's easy for well meaning people to put the effort in but end up fucking themselves because a few miscalculations.

You know, just the basic ability to display human emotion unhindered by the layer of fat should be enough to convince these drones. I think it has something to do with how women avoid jobs that involve physical labor. Lots of guys like construction workers etc probably have very unhealthy diets, but their job is so physical it keeps them somewhat thin. That way they are overweight, but not obese.

Meanwhile more women have desk jobs and never lift anything over 5 lbs but also have the same poor diet and they get fat as fuck.
