He'll probably cut all funding to the arts. Museums, Galleries, etc. If you care about art, I wouldn't be hoping for this.

oh good at least my efforts aren't wassted

Cole, Thomas 1801-1848

At this time of day
In this part of the country

...

i agree.
i think its because its not made with the hand, its made with the mouse and computer. something gets lost in between

...

...

Would you tap, Cred Forums?

Hey i recognize that painting. Really good album by the way.

nah man, just hope you know you're a retard

Not sure who constructed this. but....

While I agree with your overall point, I don't think any digital artist uses a mouse. They use a stylus that imitates a pencil or brush.

Painter ?

...

...

...

not him but hes right, that shit is retarded as fuck son, modern spoopy sucks balls

its part of a 3 painting series

And don't get me wrong, im not saying its bad necesarilly, but alot of it just feels like such a soulless medium, even in animation with all this noodle arm shit thats going on.

Delacroix, Ferdinand Victor Eugéne

John Martin, does apocalyptic stuff like no one else

It's really subjective in my eyes, all of Ivan Seals paintings are like that. His shading is pretty good but there's just something comfy about his paintings and something thats kinda unsettling to. Also its an album cover, the music and art go really hand in hand.

youtube.com/watch?v=LL998ajnjN4

...

uh this artist might be known better for this

art is subjective. If it doesn't appeal to you, user then it has little value to you.
Just looks like some grey to me, I suppose it is just an album cover

...

I recognize Jesus, but who's the head?
Judas?

Edelfelt, Albert

...

I'm not sure if Ivan made it for the Caretaker or he just asked if he could use the painting.. anyways i just like his work.

...

Fragonard, Jean-Honoré

...

...

John Martin, Fall of Babylon

Tumblr art isn't good art.

Marc, Franz

She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that’s best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes;
Thus mellowed to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.

One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impaired the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o’er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express,
How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.

And on that cheek, and o’er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent!

...

They can get pretty big. Here's one I work on daily

...

Mondrian, Piet

...

How much can a small bonsai go for?
Nice, love the bleak tone to it.

>when you high as fuck and your dad catches you

...

More paradise lost

Innumerable force of Spirits armed,
That durst dislike his reign, and, me preferring,
His utmost power with adverse power opposed
In dubious battle on the plains of Heaven
And shook his throne. What though the field be lost?
All is not lost—the unconquerable will,
And study of revenge, immortal hate,
And courage never to submit or yield:
And what is else not to be overcome?

Renoir, Pierre-Auguste

Depends on the age. Trees can be kept at any size you want. Mame bonsai fits in your Palm and get over 100 years old. The older the tree the more valuable. The last one I just posted is a couple million in price. In a 12 to 14 inch pot I think.

The pots also can cost a fortune as well. Some date back to feudal japan and china.

Rubens, Peter Paul

a bit of photography

Robert Adams, Colorado Springs in 1968

Tintoretto (Comin, Jacopo)

...

Can't really enjoy it, knowing how it's done. Animation sometimes. But digital stills are rarely as beautiful if ever.

Titian (Vecellio, Tiziano)

>if it's intended
Yeah like that detail was an accident

...

RIP Keith Emerson.

...

...

Yes please.

"only classic art is relevant as art" ~this thread

classic art is but a mastering of skills
