There is no real suggestion I could make to which store you should go. From my personal experience 250 grams will not cost you more than 10 dollars. So even if it would have no empirical evidence suggestion its efficacy, it's not in any way a large investment.

There is no big pharma conspiracy that I am aware of. It's well known that the plethora of medicine produced has had an incredibly positive effect on humankind; vaccinations alone have done anything short of miracles.

However, it's also well known that pharmaceutical companies are very much invested in economic growth. This is not necessarily a bad thing, however the money at stake is vast, and lobbying is definitely a big problem in some cases. Apricots do not cure cancer; I have never stated this. They house however a key ingredient which acts as a natural chemo therapy, for lack of better words. Amygdalin, a Nitriloside, containing two glucose molecules, one cyanide and one benzaldehyde molecule, are chemically bound together and will not react unless a specific enzyme releases this. Obviously, cyanide and benzaldehyde are together incredibly damaging for living cells, including cancer cells.

Cancer, just like any other biology, needs a form of energy to propagate it's biological reaction. In the case of cancer cells this is in the form of sugar: glucose. This is why patients are advised (at least in European hospitals...) not to consume large quantities of sugar.

Cancer has thus in some sense "specialized" in consuming sugar, including from Amygdalin. Once the enzymatic reaction is complete, the cyanide and benzaldehyde are located in the cancer cell, and cause a reaction similar to a localized chemo therapy.
