Ive been drinking way too much over the last like 7 years, i dont even get headaches or feel sick from hangovers anymore it just makes my nerves feel all twisted like im having massive anxiety or something, this is usually only if i drink 3 or more days in a row or only drink hard liquor though. Idk kinda wish id just feel sick like the old days instead of it being my nerves.

Can you elaborate as to why you've never drank?

Also makes it so i cant sleep when my nerves are fucked up like that. And my arms tend to feel like theyve been electrocuted or like theyre falling asleep.

We were drinking, barbecuing, and we were all pretty buzzed. One of my friends just zoned out and then his PTSD kicked in violently. Mentally, he was in Afghanistan again, and then he went suicidal afterwards. He broke some glasses with his hand and was bleeding like a stuck pig. We got him to a hospital and waited up all night with him, we were worried for his life (not because of the glass, the whole suicide thing). Pretty sobering to experience (no pun intended, I swear).

Got mad one night (10 years ago), and got a half pint of 100-proof Smirnoff at a liquor store. Mixed the entire bottle with ice & 7-up, and drank it all within 30 minutes. I'm not a drinker, so that amount absorbing that quickly hit me hard. Went to bed (mistake) and it was hot as hell in the house. Apparently got up to go to the bathroom, and girlfriend heard me collapse on the floor by her side of the bed. This was probably at midnight-1am. I laid there until noon the next day, mostly moaning and unable to move. Totally dehydrated, and probably experiencing acute alcohol poisoning. Haven't touched vodka since.

Never have seen my father or grandfather drink, I know they have in the past but pretty sure they haven't since I've been alive. Didn't see my mom have a drink until I was probably 15 or 16. It something that I was never around as a child and grew to view as unnecessary and pointless. I don't really know why I came to feel this way though, because my brother drinks a fair amount but never around me. I have no desire to try it, doesn't matter how many times people say 'It feels so good and everything is so much more fun.' For every time I've heard that I think of the flip side, of all the horrible things in this world that have happened because of alcohol (or any drugs in general). Now of course that's going to make me sound like a pretentious fuck who thinks I'm better than everyone else. I don't date women who drink and try to avoid being in situations where people will be drinking if I can. Maybe I am an asshole for being this way, but I don't think I am. I've signed petitions to legalize marijuana and never complain if people around me are drinking. It should be each individuals right to choose what they put in and do with their body as long as it doesn't harm others. Honestly anonymously is about the only time I openly admit to never having had alcohol aside from dating. I try to avoid the subject with coworkers unless they really press and directly ask. It's easier not to deal with the weeks of 'Hey man just come out to the bar with us, I promise if you try such and such drink you'll definitely like it, you can't even taste the alcohol!' Completely missing the point.

Worst. Apparently I fell down some stairs and kept begging for more alcohol. I don't remember any of it but I do remember the girl, my girl friend, blocking me from facebook and telling me never to contact her ever again the following day.

Best I guess would be the first time I got drunk and adventured around the winter outside with my best friend all night and went to McDonald's with him at 5AM. My favorite drunk memories was just sitting back and gaming with a close friend, smoking some cigars, and drinking beer while listening to music. One time I smoked a cigar with my best friend on top of a tank (It's a real tank, but it's like, decorative in some park near where we lived) And we drank Budweiser on top of it as well. Good times.

One of my other worst experiences was actually two nights ago. I didn't eat a single thing all day and drank a bunch of beer and I got like... More depressed than I've ever been before, for some reason. I literally bawled my eyes out like 4-5 times that night and the feeling just wouldn't go away for a long ass time. I was talking to someone on Facebook and she said "you're special, you know that right" and I started fucking crying my eyes out again. I didn't even respond to her. Idk what happened, I was just so horribly depressed out of nowhere

Does anyone find that their tolerance varies by day? Two days ago I drank 6 shots of vodka and fell over tired and threw up in the morning. Yesterday I had 6 identical shots and I feel absolutely fine and felt nothing in the morning.

Yeah I really hate thinking about it. I was only being an asshole because the girl who was getting married wasn't in love with who she was getting married to and she cuddled with me a night before the wedding but she decided to go through with it anyway and I had to pretend like nothing had ever happened. I guess drunk me couldn't handle it. It's a long story and honestly, there's a lot more that happened later on that made me not regret ruining that wedding anymore and I know now that it had to happen so I'm not upset about it anymore but it was pretty fucking awful during the time.
