So the game obviously forces you to push half of the time and defend the other.

As you know, if youve played competitive counter-strike, pushing as a CT can have its benefits in specific situation, and recognizing and reading a situation is a huge part of the game.

I think as a star wars mmo, it wasn't bad. It provided me some enjoyment after swg got shut down, but the main reason I hate it is because it shut down any chances of another kotor being made. Bioware even said swtor is the next kotor 3, 4, 5, etc. Also, a major gripe I have with the game is that they royally fucked over the legacy of the characters from the first game. Not sure if you've played it or not, but they seriously screwed over these characters that you grew to love.

But the ending basically kills many deep themes developed throughout the trilogy, making the player wonder if those themes were never even intended. The ending makes the whole plot a whole lot worse, but yeah the game was still pretty fun. If mass effect had a bit more of an exploration aspect, as well as some more depth in the main character (this is hard to do for these type of "choose what he says" type characters, unfortunately. I would honestly rather have no choices in exchange for a more fleshed out main character. Any path you take with Shephard makes him super shallow and 1-dimensional. A real shame because from your party members you can tell that bioware can do charactr writing well.

How could you possibly think this. The overarching storyline and individual party storylines are good, but that's about all i got out of Mass effect. The gameplay was easy, even on the hardest difficulty (it just took patience and was tedious on harder difficulties, so i didn't play on them anyway), with basically 0 exploration even though it takes place in multiple planets. It's really annoying to me when a game does such a good job building a world and characters, but the exploration might as well be linear. Also, shepard. I will never see why people like that many choices in video games. It just feels fake, because the choices are never very nuanced. It just doesn't feel like I'm making real choices... anyone else ever feel this way? Some big choices that feel like they're affecting the storyline are cool, but the little conversation choices felt really stupid.
