Maybe the author made several versions for each page, with tiny details varying, and eventually just picked one, while having numbered them all in a row before this procedure of final selection.

I realize is an ongoing series, yet to develop, but still I find it kinda confusing, considering it's the start of it. It doesn't show at all anything about who are the characters, their motivations or the relations between them. You likely want people to emphatize with them as soon as possible, and there is little chance to do it while they're so cryptic. You did it right enough with Kotick (A kid being bullied, then the random stuff happens but we get to know how and what is going on). I'd rethink it a bit.

So you don't have Blake background chapter around? I remember there used to be like 72 pages.

It's a 30 page first chapter. Everything goes ape shit in about 2 pages. Believe me I'm very aware that an audience needs to have an investment in character(s) to give a shit.

Meaning that he would get another chance at life. Except he would have different experiences, leading to him being the Peter M we met instead of the 'badass' in the comic.
