Most intense movie I've ever seen by miles.

...

No country for old men is incredible.

...

Bone Tomahawk

had me by the nuts the whole movie

Cape Fear (DeNiro version)
The Hitcher (Rutger Hauer version)

Seconded. My favorite movie ever tbh

enemy at the gates had some tense moments not including the main characters having sex on a battlefield

God I love this movie
Also check out: Mr.Nobody, Her, and Enemy at the Gates

Especially since I was 8 years old.

This had me on edge of seat. Awesome movie

A Serbian Film

Children of Men

One of those rare movies that just gets better with each viewing

Great movie, but I do remember laughing at it a lot during my edgy years

Fuck you. Don't encourage this movie, it's garbage and the director should be shot.

Hell yeah

you wont regret it. fucking fantastic film

Why do I hear everyone always talking about this one? What's it about and why so great?

Some oil tycoon dude goes to small western town cause of beliefs of hella oil. Town is crazy religious and tycoon guy and priest dude fight each other, Cold War style, to become the popular girl in the school

The Kingdom. Last half hour is intense.

Do yourself a favor and watch it now.

always thought city of god was pretty intense

youtube.com/watch?v=V26Pogm8ktk

double dubs. op has to watch now

It is, The Goodfellas is in kind of the same style

the movie poster makes me feel like its really well organized crime going on.

i like the amateurness of city of god.
makes it feel more dangerous like anything could happen. no morals, no rules. ect.. shit like that.

Tideland. By far the most disturbing and powerful movie I've ever seen. Loved it, never want to see it again.

Also directed by Terry Gilliam so you know it's good

This one, obviously.

lol buckets were had for this movie

Grave of a firefly- watch alone, very intense, eng subs, animated. Had me on edge after 20-emd

irreversable its pretty intense violence wise.
awesome effects.

has one of longest most graphic rape scenes in any movie ive ever seen.

heres a cool fight scene
youtube.com/watch?v=MitumC0mjDo

Really? No one?

Yeah, T-dubs had a flair for intensity.

>intense movie thread
>posts untitled gif of man who looks like hes about to die of boredom

ur really good at this thred user keep postin

This movie. This scene in particular.

What are you doing, Dave?

>talks about movies
>doesn't know what the gif is from

go back to your anime, faggot.

Trainspotting

The one where my Uncle touches me in the basement and shoves GI Joes foot up my ass.

Me too.

...

These are good.

I would suggest most anything by Winding Refn.

And:
A Clockwork Orange
Wild Zero
Nightcrawler

Leon: The Professional

This shit is glorious.

Cuck Child Confirmed
>Go play with your fathers GUN

City of God

Do yourself a favour and get this watched.

...

Fucking love that movie.

Kek

I wanted to fucking smash the kids head in with a brick...

Great scene. Listening to the commentary, it would have been even better with the cut parts

Both superb movies.

I just finished
>Das Boot
for the 15th time, if that tells you anything. I mean...it's got Nazis AND submarines. What more does a movie need?

>Das Boot
pardon me, but wasn't das boot a tv series first? then re-made into a movie? or just the tv series put together into a movie.

Oldboy
Redstate
The hateful eight

Johnny got his gun. Book is better tho

Fight club for me.

I dont think Hateful Eight was that tense, it was a slow burn, but I was more curious to how it plays out than being on the edge of my seat tense

It also has STDs

What movie is this?

the first Star Trek Movie

Wrath of Khan, you philistine

honestly '71 is one of my favorite movies i've ever seen. so fucking tense.

The Road
this movie made me hate my existence

Isn't that The Road? Looks like it.

this imdb.com/title/tt1003080/

Do you have NETFLIX, op??????????

whiplash
new world
I saw the devil
oldboy
chaser
the raid redemption

The Grifter

still can't get that shit out of my head.

Loved this movie.

The scene when the arab dude goes over to the mexicans house with his handgun is yhe most intense scene I have ever watched.

Whiplash is the shit. I second this.

pussy

3rd, 11/10 movie

GOD i fucking love boogie nights. this scene is my absolute favorite. perfectly done. just wow. cosmo is best boy

this movie is pretty fucking good

The Road.

Perfect for fundamentalist Christians on a Sunday afternoon.

Old Boy

Boring as shit

He asumes you know it and i really hope you do and this is just bait

>Thinking people remember the religious shit in that movie
>Also Kunis's tits

jesus christ, ive seen salo,a serbian film, guinea pig and lots of others...this fucking movie was the only one i could legite not finish, only movie to have ever made me question what the fuck i was doing with my life -9/10 would not watch again

Enemy

This movie was amazing. Turns everything on its head in the third act

What exactly do you mean with intense? Emotionally? Some movies coming to my mind:

Grave of the Fireflies, Mary and Max, Inside Llewyn Davis
intensely melancholic but beautiful

Whiplash, Black Swan, Victoria, The Kings Speech
Intense feeling of emotional pressure through the protagonist

There is also Das Boot which has amazingly intense claustrophobic underwater scenes or stuff like Memento which gets increasingly tense due to its formal properties. Or any thriller by Hitchcock.

this guy gets it
fuck you nigger, go watch transformers if you want pure pointless action all the time

Maybe he meant Star Trek The Motion Picture, although Wrath of Khan is undeniably better

I'm genuinely curious as to why, dies anyone still itt share this opinion? I thought the cinematography was beautiful at the very least

...

i like you

sucker punch was pretty intense
as was american history x

Really?? Wild zero is an awesome movie and all but its hardly intense. It's fucking hilarious

this is on netflix

Martyrs
Tree of life (with acid)

...

>Me ( I gotta go to bed )
Eh, if you have Netflix you should check out 'The Invitation' ( 2015 ) and DON'T WATCH THE TRAILER. It might ruin the movie. But yeah...it's an interesting film

Sucker punch was shit

inglorious basterds

It was a ~2.5 hr theatrical release. Then it was a 5 hr miniseries. then it was a 3.5 hr directors cut. Directors cut is the best version.

>sucker punch was pretty intense

Just...just fucking stop. Go to bed.

2001: a space Odyssey

Kriegsmarine was socialist though :^)

i like tarantino but i would never call his movies intense. interesting.

Whiplash, it is about more than drumming

...

i got clinical depression from this

agreed.

poster is surely a troll

a movie ahead of its time.
but its fucking boring as shit.

i hate when faggots praise boring ass movies cuz they where masterpieces in their time. times change and old movies are old movies. theyre not good anymore

2001 and the shining both especially piss me off. shit horrible boring ass movies

It's a very long movie. When they show it on TV they usually do it as a mini series, but it's not.

My favorite part is when he's eating at the end.
Not the scene itself but just watching him eat lol

oh and when he kills the guy with his revolver.

I watch waayy to many movies, a couple intense ones that come to mind are
>Fight Club
>Whiplash
>Dr Strangelove
>Do the Right thing
>Once were Warriors
>Breathless (the korean one)
>Interstellar
>Inception
>American History X
>Full metal Jacket
>Apocalypse Now
>La Haine
>The Ascent
>Voces Inocentes
>King of Devils Island
>Angst
>Gangs of Wasypur
>The revenge trilogy of Chan Wook Park
>The Departed
>Leon the Professional
>Se7en
>The fifth Element
>Irreversable
>The worlds End
>Hot Fuzz
Im gonna stop there, i could go on forever

Michael Haneke's Amour

Chekked

This movie hurt me. And it still hurt a couple of days later.

Watched this korean movie recently, Hard Day, pretty intense

same

This is the best damn move ever

nigga wuz blynd

I just saw the trailer and the movie seemed disgusting.

Pathetic atemt to repeat The Road filling it with american biblical nonsense that turned out more like waterworld without water.

Crap, I mean, what the hell, wasn't the director already famous wouldn't even be rated as B-movie

this one destroyed me emotionally

Watch this on acid!

Agreed.

So many movies I've watched and wasted my time on because people have said "You have to watch this!" or they're rated as classics or masterpieces.

Another example of my time wasted was Dr Strangelove, hailed as a classic and a must see movie... I was so disappointed.

For an intense movie, personally, I like Stephen King's The Mist (2007).

Best kick in the nuts for an ending I can remember seeing.

Yep.

I was gonna say The Chaser, but someone beat me to it. So Wages of Fear.

second this, for the subject matter they managed to make this movie very intense.

the original danish "pusher" was very intense; the british remake was silly.

with the example you're giving, "requiem for a dream" is a good answer but to get more exotic... "vile". it's like "saw" but the group has weird extracting machines attached to them and have to hurt themselves to release enough of a chemical to satisfy their captors and it's like a "game".

the 1978 remake

The hitcher , my nigga

Waltz with Bashir
Amelie
Tekonkinkreet
Fury Road and/or Road Warrior
Restrepo
True Grit (remake)
Apocalypse Now (redux)
The Road (though it is very slow)
Zero Day (try not to cut yourself on the edge with this one)
Young Ones
Interview with a hitman

Same guy, my bad, I forgot what we were doing and thought we were just listing good movies. Very few of these are intense, though in all fairness neither are most of the posts in this thread.

It's boring as fuck tbh

28 days later
12 monkeys
No country for old men

I take that back actually. Fury road, restrepo and zero day are very intense.

nightcrawler sucked

Thomas and Friends: Blue Mountain Mystery

Lock stock and two smoking barrels.

there is some fanboy crap in here

the fucking road are you kidding me?

human centipede
really got me

Does anyone have any apocalyptic/dystopian movie recommendations?

This. This movie was fucking great

> Arab guy

He was persian.

Damn you learnt nothing from that movie.
Don't be so American.

This movie is sooo awesome!

youtube.com/watch?v=E7oMBq1vkCM

THE RAID REDEMPTION

American history x

The Exorcist
I Stand Alone
August Underground Trilogy
Irreversible

There are a lot of other serious films, but you specifically said "intense," so there you go.

I need 52 GOOD movies for every Friday of the year.

Can you do it Cred Forums?

Oblivion

taxidermia

Maniac (1980)

Mais oui!

Surprised Mulholland Dr. hasn't been posted yet.

Fuck yeah, both Raid movies are golden. But I think the second one is even better.

I want to make a game based on oblivion.

futuristic motorcyle + small airship + small rifle and just patrolling around a huge area looking for bad guys.
That movie would have been so much better if it didn't have that twist and they just had to fight off these weird alien shits
Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer

X-drummer

Wild Zero is too goofy to take seriously.

Here's one you won't see mentioned often, but it's a crackerjack thriller and Jack Lemmon always delivers the goods. The China Syndrome.

amores perros
the hunt
thirst
pee wee's big adventure

Watched it while high
Its a head trip

Define "intense"

Serbian Film is by far the most disturbing film I've seen, which is kinda intense
Also Full Metal Jacket is extremely emotional and disturbing to watch too
I found The Perks Of Being A Wallflower to be pretty intense too, but more in a sad way

Open the hanger bay doors hal

He's an annoying fucking actor

Spun
imdb.com/title/tt0283003/

I'm only suggesting this because you used the word "intense".

I'm pretty sure that at one point in time, this movie held the record for the number of camera cuts.

It's a good movie. You should check it out.

Lol soz we nuked you

Which movie? Who are you responding to? Are you new here? Didn't you learn anything about the place all summer?

imdb.com/title/tt1588170/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_8

Intense in what way?

Always see this these two movies together
>2007 was a good year for movies
>dont drink his milkshake even if you're feeling lucky

The Shining grew on me with multiple viewings. 2001 is shit. Arthur C. Clarke was a shitty writer. He was great at explaining technical shit to you on a level you could grasp. He sucked at writing anything but 2-dimensional characters and wooden dialog.

I think there will be blood was more interesting, but no country for old men had really good acting.

forgot pic, it's fucking intense as fuck btw

Again, why was he acting so weird?

Fury Road sucked

" It's not what the pussy can do for you, it's what you can do for the pussy!" - The Cook

funny as fuck tho

Really liked this one. Kept me on edge majority of the time.

I got this movie for my daughters when they were kids. I had to watch it about 500 fucking times.

Brüno. Contains a few extreme scenes

This was the most boring movie I've ever seen. The only use I could see for this movie would be if you needed help sleeping.

gud film

watched it just now, pretty damn good

Irreversible is intense as fuck.

13 Tzameti was pretty cool as well.
youtube.com/watch?v=54jn0_ugqco

Well you need a bit of relief heheh, it's a well paced film

best modern satirical dystopia film by far

hardcore henry

This review doesnt sound so bad

> A hearth-warming story about friendship and >the hardships of making new friends in >unfriendly places. An improvised and >minimalistic narrative and scenario will tell us >about stuff such as hard work, regrets, life >experiences, different points of view, duty, >honor and consequences of your actions.

>The great finale only is worth your time to >watch this modern masterpiece, made for you >by a savant prodigy of cinematographic arts, >Svetlana Baskova. This movie is more than >just a motion picture on your screen...

>Green Elephant is love. Green Elephant is life.

But srsly I then had a good laugh when I read the synopsis

I got it from Falling Down with Mike Douglas, shit happens. Take an E and some 5-HTP for the comedown and some pussy of course

Soylent Green. Not sure if I actually liked it, but the pacing is decent and the pressure builds throughout as you start to get a dread feeling of where it's going

Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
I found it pretty disturbing.

Clockwork orange was one of the stupidest fucking pieces of shit I've ever seen. Completely lacking direction.

I really enjoyed the whole movie and I also do recommend Old Boy with Choi Min-sik as Oh Dae-su

What is taste?
Does it differ?
Is it subjective?

Also, you're an idiot.

It's Oldboy, not Old Boy. I always get it wrong

Oh yea I've seen that, just looking at another user's rec 'the chaser'. Check it out, looks good too! As for the Oldboy remake, it's watchable but I want to hate it, pity I like Spike Lee movies

I neeeedaaa da exprosionnzz hurrrrrr

Neon maniacs, or high society about monsters and insest

...

>You don't love me today.

This movie is a rabbit hole. The more you pay more attention to detail, the more you discover

...

nice bait, bro. High five there. We gots some tards on the board.

...
