It is a fun game, I really enjoyed it for a few weeks. But if you have no friends to play with (such as myself) all you can do is quick games, and I've gotten a little bored of that by now. I tried the competition/league whatever...didn't last a single round before I rage quit; getting onto the point in comp games are like stepping into a blender.

So it's meh.

All i know is that Overwatch got some of the best r34 atm.

From what I have played it is a tf2 clone. It is very similar. Not worth 60 bucks for something you can get free IMO

Overwatch learned all the right lessons from the successes *and* failures of tf2. When you put them side by side it makes Team Fortress *really* show its age.

That said, there's enough differences between the two that they feel like very distinctly different games. You're never going to have a goofy-ass, imbalanced match on a map someone made in their spare time in Overwatch, but you're never going to have a 5 v 5 fight on a point that ends with a Mei wall holding a Zarya ult over a pit.

I've bought every major release this gen. The only regrets are Overwatch, which is bad. And Battlefield Hardline which is almost as bad.

Yeah Doom was bad, I got it for a nostalgia hit and gave up on it pretty quick.

Homefront was also a pretty bad game. Framerate issues were the worst part. Still didn't regret the purchase though.

Overwatch and BFH are still the only games this gen I regret dropping money on.

Call it derivative or unbalanced or whatever - the main thing about Overwatch is that the characters are just fun as all FUCK. Running up walls and deflecting bullets with Genji, stomping around with D Va, blinking through the middle of a firefight with Tracer, and my personal favorite - jumping into the middle of the point being defended and chasing around people as a giant fucking gorilla. It all goes straight to the part of your brain that wanted to be a superhero when you were 7 years old, and THAT'S why the game is so popular.

If they dont, other groups can go in, do what they want, make money, whatever; and are much more protected legally by the fact that blizzard would have set a precedent of allowing such a thing to happen. Also i played wow from vanilla to now, and vanilla fucking sucks comparatively. The only thing that was maybe better was that the community interacted more, but that is more a cultural problem than a problem of the game. Garrisons however were probably the worst idea that any company has ever had, at least pertaining to its affects on the community interaction.
