Trump was no different than he usually is. He was no less eccentric, no more bombastic than usual. The undecided voters have all seen Trump before, and if they hadn't seen anything from him to put them firmly in the Clinton Camp prior to this debate, he did nothing to send them there during it.
His strongest argument was that she had held office before and had either done nothing to fix the problems we currently face or fucked things up worse than they already were. And the public agrees with him.
Did he look like an idiot at times? I recall one drawn out "wrooonngg" that was weird. Did he make me laugh out loud? More than once.
But he also proved us all wrong. He proved that he could, in fact, hang in there with Hillary in a debate. He could stand on stage with her and not only appear competent, but bring her competence into question. And that's all he had to do.
If her poll numbers rise, I'll honestly be shocked. But I don't see this debate as a nail in the coffin for anyone. I have said for months that the fist debate would determine this election. But it looks like we still have a race.
