That said, I wouldn't want to own a dog with jaws that powerful. Not because I fear them, but even with training, I'd worry they'd get out of my yard or something and could get into a horrible situation where they kill another dog or child.

Even labs and retrievers could kill (unlikely, but they could). Still, dogs with very powerful bites are too much risk/liability for me to bear.

Lol Ive had my pit for 6-7 years now he's been here for the births of my two kids. When he's not getting hugged to death he's pulling them around in the wagon and bringing them sticks lol he's the sweetest gentilest soul with them. With strangers that's a different story.
