walmart sells the packs in bigger cardboard clamshells so they're not as easy to pocket them fully, and more work to crack them open in the store. in the past, i've gone to walmart with the intent to buy a 30 dollar shopvac, it's sealed shut but has the handles cut into the cardboard. i shoved a dozen packs in the hole and just paid at the register for the vac, they don't open it unless the top looks like it's tampered

risk/reward is pretty unbalanced. You can only steal so many cards. Just enough to put in your pockets. Chances are you will not get anything cards that are worth more than a dollar at most.

I'm pretty sure the booster packs and shit are by the registers. I imagine someone will see you take them.

You need to reevaluate your life if you are planning this hard to steal a pack of cards that costs a couple of dollars.

as a walmart employee i recommend checking out at the lawn and garden exit, none of those people are trained cashiers they are all sales associates. my coworkers and i would never check a tampered box nor have we ever been told we should.

not in the walmart near me, they are in the toy section. this also poses a tiny extra suspicion for theft if an older teen/grown man walks into the toys without a child with them

i work at home depot, not as a cashier but they still make us watch anti-theft videos so i know about them checking tampered shit.

Its more difficult than going on craigslist and see if anyone is willing to give you their cards for free or cheap.
You won't get the best cards, but you'll get cards.

Take a deck of cards to another part of the store, like the bicycle isle, rip the pack open and stuff the deck in your pocket. Hide the package on a shelf behind something else. Then walk out. If someone tries to stop you on the way out (nobody will) tell them to fuck off. They can't just search random people.

Pick up a soda or something else cheap if your nervous and you 100% won't be stopped as you are a customer.

I did this shit all the time after they added Synchros to YuGiOh because I thought it was retarded and didn't want to support it with my money.

If you're not a complete nigger, do what I do. Grab a bunch of packs, go to self checkout, swipe one and put like 2-3 in the bag. Or slip them in under other items like boxes of cereal and stuff. I've stolen ~$300 worth of packs this way. Just do it a little at a time and it is easy

that's true, don't do too many at a time since self checkouts have scales, so if you scanned 1 and put down 6 you might set it off, but scan 1 and add 1 won't

trollin. great way to go directly to jail. The packs randomly have security devices in them. Notice how when they get scanned, the machine sometimes makes a weird noise. It's disarming the device.

if they are just the pack with no additional packaging then it's fine, sometimes walmart has extra cardboard with those security tags in them so watch out for those

If you're buying from walmart, then the packs come in individual cardboard backed packages. There are security devices in these. It's 2016, they are just tiny strips of metal. You're not going to find those giant plastic things that they have to rip off with a special tool.

Might work for a few packs, but security systems in the large stores are pretty high tech. It's not just cameras that are recording video. They are backed up by software that can identify suspicious behavior.

It's a complete gamble with booster packs. You might get something good but you probably won't. If you have a friend to play with get one of the duel decks. That way you have 2 full decks to play with against each other.

try shoplifting some duel decks to start out with, then once you're more familiar with the game and know what you're looking for, you can swipe singles that fit your deck's concept

user, try playing pauper. It a high power format, only commons are allowed, and most of the decks are under 40 dollars.

Modern affinity is 600 dollars I think.
