My favorite Symphonic metal is the first Tristania album, it takes a bit to get used to cuz it has a bit of death-doom influence, but its got a great sound.

Altho in general i still like Epica's way of executing the style the best.

PIG is Raymond Watts, who's done work with KMFDM on more occasions than I can count.

Also check out En Esch's "Cheesy". It's the only album I've heard from it as I got it at a secondhand shop but it's actually pretty good. He was in early KMFDM before leaving or being kicked out or whatever.
