Patriots 18 game winning streak in 2007

Going undefeated in the modern NFL is fucking insane. You look at some of the NBA streaks, like the Miami ones for example, and imagine that every NFL game is 5x rougher on the body, and you have to play in insanely unwelcome environments and your best players will be targeted on every play.

We know what happened, but 18 in a row might never happen again (or at least for a very long time)

...

nice argument

Won all 14 races taking dozens of Group 1 winners

It hurts less now that we've won another owl but there will always be a hole that kills me a little inside

>patriots the best

LMAOOOOOO both the 85 bears and the 72 dolphins were much more impressive and both those teams won it when it counted

Carson Wentz, 2-0 2016 NFL season

...

Oklahoma's 47-straight in football or Dimaggio's 56-game hitting streak - neither likely to ever be broken.

Dunno about the Bears but the Phins had a pleb tier schedule, played like no teams over 500

puckers' 2010 SB run followed by 13-game win streak the next year. so 18 games in total i think

...

Michigan football's 56 game undefeated streak (they tied once after 29 straight wins, then won 16 more in a row). Oklahoma had 47 games and Washington had 40 as the next 2 closest undefeated streaks.

It will never be broken.

26 more in a row after the tie I meant.

Floyd Mayweather obviously.

good pick, arsenal were unstoppable back then

Flyers 35 game unbeaten streak

Thats why they won all those CLs right?

Win streak =/= Undefeated streak

well in soccer there's no good example of an actual long winning streak, undefeated is the best measurement of sustained success.

they won points in all games.

They won 14 games in a row about a season or two before

These two are pretty good but miami had a 59 games home winning streak which is pretty impressive.

>In addition to its own lengthy winning streaks, Miami has snapped four streaks of 20 games or more in its history. The only other school to snap four winning streaks of 20 or more games is Princeton.[126] In the 1984 Orange Bowl, Miami ended top-ranked Nebraska's 22-game winning streak and won its first national championship with a 31–30 victory. The Hurricanes halted top-ranked Oklahoma's 20-game streak and won their second national championship when they defeated the Sooners, 20–14, in the 1988 Orange Bowl. The Hurricanes ended top-ranked Notre Dame's 23-game winning streak with a 27–10 win on November 25, 1989. Miami also ended the 20-game winning streak of UCLA when Miami defeated the third-ranked Bruins 49–45 on December 5, 1998.

Since you've chosen to alter the definition of winning, that seems pretty arbitrary. Germany qualifying for every second round in World Cups since 1954 is a bit more sustained.

So if I had a bet on Arsenal during those games and one ended in a draw, could I go to the betting shop and expect to claim winnings because they won points? I could but the bookmaker would tell me to fuck off.

The latter half of the 2002 season. An era where the Premiership was in a bit of a trough in terms of European success. Bayern's 19 game WIN streak is arguably more impressive.

Islanders 19 playoff rounds

hasn't even been a threepeat in hockey since

...

not impressive when over half the teams make the playoffs

Underrated

>Bayern winning in Bayernwinslol
>Impressive

>Bayern's 19 game win streak is more impressive than 49 (FOURTY-NINE) games unbeaten
you what

This

Patriots didn't just beat teams, they destroyed them. Brady played probably 20 more quarters of football than he needed to that season. Everyone was gassed out in the Owl and jew york still needed the biggest fluke play in sports history to beat us

2007 Patriots were the best team in NFL history and it's not even close

...

You only beat "jew york" by three points in the regular season that very same year, and barely at that. The finished what they started in the owl.

If they were truly the best, then they would have never lost in the first place

Reminder that the greatest season in Oakland A's history was the season that the Angels won the World Series

>best team in NFL history
>can't even win the super bowl
riiiiiiiiiiight

SA Spurs winning 50 games or more.

Highest winning % of ALL 4 USA sports.

>years in a row

Flyers 35 game unbeaten streak.

Went from the middle of October to the middle of January without a loss in regulation.Really incredible.

analslime's greatest accomplishment was a Disney movie about a fucking orphan.

this especially considering hockey games are only2-3 days apart to go over 3 months without a loss

Fedor

And actually being able to win a championship

and doing fuck all since

Sebastien Loeb, 9 world rally titles in a row.

cricket is not a sport.

Have to agree with you on that. You don't have the luxury of planning games and resting like football. Plus back to backs and traveling take a toll, especially against well rested teams.

Germany's 7 goal streak.
