Anyone else notice how Watson is underthrowing the shit out of his receivers all season? It's like 9/10 catches they make are sliding to the ground.

has tech got a 1st down yet, I started watching after the first touchdown

Dude chill out
13 years remember?
Don't ruin it

ayy nevermind. there we go finally

probably piped out every black girl at clemson

He's funny. He's adorable. He's sweet. He's loving. He's awkward. He's beautiful. He's caring. He's awesome.

He's perfect.

I didn't say a name, but he popped into your head, didn't he.

Only by unlucky penalty

I'm pretty sure there's a "girl" at my college who looks like that

Why not make a game thread?

>technically georgia

>Mfw I marched with the USF band once in high school
Any band nerds on /cfb/ know this feel?

Is Georgia Tech literally the only good school in the whole south?

/cfb/ becomes the comfy all-games thread during the weekends, while major big-time games start their own game threads on top of that. This is not such a game....

That makes no sense. It is a general. To talk about the sport IN GENERAL

What's going on in this sport right now?
This game

No there are a couple of other good schools. It's a fine school for STEM though.

They aren't even the best school in that Atlanta

>paul johnson loves to go for it on fourth down
>it's third down

what did they mean by this

name them

Duke
Vandy

They literally said "If they don't make it"

U of Florida

There's far better medical schools than Emory, Tech is top 3 in engineering which is more impressive in my opinion

lmao, found the UF grad

>listening to the announcers
>ever

Emory isn't all medical school

you mean, found the gainsville community college dropout

I guarantee your dumb ass couldn't get in there

>m-muh academics

Who gives a fuck

schools with bad football teams

no but it is all chalk fearing trust fund babbies.

>ACC refs

any streams?

What's up with these fucking receivers?

Are these refs fucking blind as shit? How was that not a forward pass?

nth for Pokes

I love the Georgia - Georgia Tech rivalry. I find it hilarious knowing that every Georgia fan wasn't smart enough to get into Tech, and hates them for that. Classic SEC.

But the girls are hotter at Georgia so who's the real winner?

Jeez how many sisters do you have that attend Georgia?

this, newfags get out

you say that as if you're only allowed to date girls at the uni you attend.

I've gotta admit
That was generous

kids who want to make money with their degrees?

Every big city in the South has a great school

Atlanta
>Emory (in US News Top 25 colleges while GT is not)
>GT (Top engineering school in South)

New Orleans
>Tulane
>Loyola

Nashville
>Vanderbilt

Memphis

>TCU

Miami
>U of Miami

>both poor as fuck
>can smoke cigarettes inside like a degenerate so everything smells like dogshit
>can't beat the Bucks to save their lives
>can't beat Sparty which is also shit
>literally can't fall on a bad snap
>0-16
>Tigers will still lose the AL Central to the Tribe
>niggers left and right

>East Lansing's best alumnus has AIDS
>hire a khaki wearing faggot who can't keep his mouth closed who also coached some hafrican unpatriotic piece of shit
>scUM = nerds and chinks
>all those first round picks last years' draft from Michigan
>Detoilet
>only claim to fame is creating cars and yet they can't even do that right
>have to hire some overpriced PR manager to work for Chrysler to make Detoilet not look like a fucking warzone and create a campaign for Americans to buy cars made in Japan

Fuck Michigan. Good luck putting more signs up in beautiful Ohio trying to get us to experience Michigan. The JACK is better than MGM Grand anyway, and your sports teams suck balls. Your cities suck balls. Your entire state, both the mitten and that dog boner called the upper peninsula are all shit. Oh, I forgot

>letting a essential high schooler from Akron beat the NBA Champions
>having a chimpout on your home turf that lives on in infamy

Good job being the laughing stock of the B1G again, Shitigan. Fucking faggots. Go Bucks.

>miami
>great school
what the fuck am i reading

Yeah I am pretty confused by that.

Man these refs suck.

>UT 7 point favorites

I feel like this is a major trap for betters and UT will win convincingly.

What about Jackson or Birmingham?

Most of this stadium is Clemson fans

>>Emory (in US News Top 25 colleges while GT is not)

Yeah but GT's in the top 10 Engineering schools in the world
usnews.com/education/best-global-universities/engineering

Shutup auburnfag

yo that GT pass was like over a full yard backwards, refball

Is Brent Venables a top 5 DC?

Tennessee has literally no chance of winning

None, I go to a B1G school. Just love seeing all the southern girls on gameday

Timing is all out of wack

I only care about the Panthers this season ;_;

yes
GT needs a handicap

Shouldn't it be Aints or Failcons?

This game feels like it's 42-0
Why isn't it?

Imagine Brent Venables on Nick Saban's coaching staff with his blitz packages

Literally a top 5 bio-med school. Good comment though

>that nasally GT cheerleader
wtf

>confidence in McCloud

I know right? Don't let the name and football team fool you. MIAMI is a tiny private school (11k undergrads) with a $44,400 tuition that perennially ranks in the US News Top 50 colleges
miami.edu/index.php/about_us/fast_facts/annual_student_cost/

miaminewtimes.com/news/university-of-miami-climbs-back-into-us-news-top-50-colleges-leapfrogs-university-of-florida-8769956

Refs must have graduated from Georgia tech

GT is allowed to do anything they want this game thanks to the refs.

>nitpicking majors to make it a top __ school

Kill yourself faggot.

WOW
WHAT THE FUCK?

DW4 scores even when he gets picked off

lol georgia tech

CRAWLING IN MY SKIN

Strangest play this year?

And you go to? Homeschool or...

Anyone notice that qt asking the other qt what a safety is?

Those two are located in redneck central and neither are big cities

hahaha what the fuck. That was the weirdest play of all time.

WAKE ME UP

BEFORE YOU GO-GO

Has anybody cucked themselves harder than what GT just did?

>I went to (top school)
"Ohh really what did you study?"
>not stem
"Ok so you threw away your money then"
But that's ok. Major doesn't matter

I feel as though that INT in the stat column will be the most misleading stat in history

would totally be too beta to talk to either of them if you know what i mean

they're the biggest cities in their respective states though
also biggest city in florida has no good schools

>ad hominem because he can't defend his retarded opinion

LITERALLY TOP 5 SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT AND LOGISTICS BRO

What, miami?

Jacksonville is the biggest city in FL. Surprising I know

How many INTs lead to points for the team that just threw the INT? I honestly can't imagine it happens often.

It was a plan by deshaun. Get the 2pts for the safety, then more from getting the ball back.Hes just too smart for the game.

Nah, this game was over before that happened. Nothing will top Oklahoma State.

That was the refs though

So is the triple option dead? I mean this is pathetic. Tech just uses it because they suck and resort to gimmicks to win

Too hard to recruit

RAPE

Recruits hate it. Fans hate it. TV hates it. The only reason to use it is either a massive talent gap (the academies) or just to troll.

It should be like 35-0

So how bad does Lamar Jackson beat this clemson team? I'm gonna say by 15+

holy shit, Clemson is absolutely cucking them

>Fans hate it.
i love the triple option

>8 yards

Lamar is going to get bodied next week. He's never faced a defensive line as dominant as Clemson's and probably won't again unless he plays Alabama.

Under/Over GT having 100yards by the end of this game?

>Clemson
>lose

Yeah that D-Line really dominated in their 6 point win over Troy

Over by a lot. They will score a couple against the 3rd string.

FSU has a better D line desu

>23 first half yards

HOLY FUCKING HELL

Not that I endorse the idea but Paul Johnson getting run over by that ancient car wouldn't be the worse thing to happen to Georgia tech football

I thought GTech was suppose to be decent this year

should i watch the second half

do you get off on watching rape?

who the fuck said that. Ga tech was supposed to have a down couple of years.

the tiers in the acc

1. clemson and louisville

2. FSU

3.Miami/unc

5.ga tech

9999999. Boston college

99999999999999999999999999999999. UVA

Why wouldn't you? My sides are sore from from this game.

Will Clemson reach #1 in the AP if they shutout Georgia Tech?

Did Georgia Tech shoot themselves in the foot by leaving the SEC just as it was building up a reputation?

Jackson has Jackson State, but its not a "good" school. Its a leech on the state that produces future Democrat criminals.

>gee I wonder who made this map

Pitt is better than GT

its been dead since the 50's, the only reason teams run it is because of athletic limitations and its hard to defend it when you run it right
>3-4 different potential ball carriers

>you in charge of knowing how the AP poll works

No, but if they beat Louisville next week they potentially shoot up there.

because i've already seen a team i like fail to get anywhere against memeson
why would i want to watch a team i don't care about do the same thing

Yeah, Pitt is pretty good. Narduzzi's defense just can't handle spread teams without elite CBs.

It actually did
That was mostly the offense's ineptitude
No

UNC/Pitt is going to have 100 pts scored

I doubt they could jump up above Bama
They'll probably stay at 5 unless they drop a hundred

Really odd seeing Brisset playing for a team like the Pats

Troy is better than louville

is he any good?

No clue
Just got a peak during the break

how can one man be better than an entire team

Anyone got a pic of that GT fan contemplating life?

I missed it

They're not contemplating life. They are contemplating their decision to come to the game instead of study.

Color rush isn't helping

Idk man, he seemed extremely distraught

...

remember we do have business and liberal arts schools. Not everyone here has to study

as a Southern Miss fan I want to believe this, but its simply not true.

Guys is Clemson the new Michigan?

I don't know
It doesn't seem hard to stop when every D-Lineman is in the backfield before Thomas even has a chance to decide what to do

Oh I saw him then. I thought he was talking about someone else

No, Michigan is a meme and Clemson is legit

As in?

Name one reason that doesn't involve the 11 game streak over them.

Can we just ban Dr. Pepper commercials?

Shut up. They're great.

I wish GT, army, Navy, and Air Force would ditch the fucking triple option bullshit. It's outdated and predictable get with the fucking times already and maybe you wouldn't be getting embarrassed like they are right now.

If he would have just stopped trying

But Navy is 14-2 since the start of last season?

Winning when they're not supposed to, receiving a shitload of hype and then eventually falling off the face of the earth never to return, etc.

Service academies have an excuse (of course, I still wish Air Force would get Mike Leach to instal the Air Raid) but Georgia Tech should get with the times

No, that's not really Clemson
Maybe the last one

GT abandoning the triple option is like Oregon running a pro style offense. Some things are just meant to be what they are.

Why didn't Dabo go for it?

they sponsor the playoffs so I'm afraid not

Tech didn't run the option until Johnson got there

>chimp out closing NASCAR

WHITEY BTFO

Every big city in the South has at least one great college just like every big city in the South has a least one professional NFL/MLB/NBA/NHL team.

Same cities:

Atlanta
>NFL Falcons
>MLB Braves
>NHL Thrashers
>NBA Hawks
>only US city to host Summer Olympics other than Los Angeles

New Orleans
>NFL Saints
>NBA Pelicans

Nashville
>NFL Titans
>NHL Predators

Memphis
>NBA Grizzlies

Houston
>NFL Texans
>NBA Rockets
>MLB Astros

Dallas/Fort Worth
>NFL Cowboys
>NBA Mavericks
>NHL Stars
>MLB Rangers

Miami
>NFL Dolphins
>MLB Marlins
>NHL Panthers

and you are over here asking about Jackson, MS and Birmingham, AL? We talking about big cities here. Only cities in the South that have a pro .teams that weren't on that list are all in Florida:
Orlando (NBA Magic)
Jacksonville (NFL Jaguars)
Tampa (NFL Bucs, MLB Rays, NHL Lightning)

>furpuck
Get them the fuck out of here
Also
>Miami
>South

>thrashers
don't remind me

If Sr's car would have gotten hit last night, there would be hundreds of pissed off hillbillys in Uptown.

Duke
Vandy
UNC
UVA
Wake

all better than GT

and Oregon wasn't full meme until kelly and knight bux

I don't see Charlotte

Air Force can't do the air raid because you can't recruit 6'7" 350 lb offensive tackles.

UCF came to my highschool and performed...it was nothing special desu cuz we just watched instead of playing with them

I know
Still

That was Bellotti
Kelly just made it the lethal force it became
Fun fact: Chip Kelly's second game at Oregon and at the FBS level at OC was against Michigan, the week after App State

hasn't Oregon not fired a head coach in like 60 years?

Uh-oh
FUCK
TECH'S GONNA COME BACK AND WIN THIS

C'MON YELLOWJACKETS. I WANT UPSETS

Injuries, terrible o-line, one-dimensional play calling
I gave you three

FUCK YOU
I WANT A NATTY

WIN CLEMSON I NEED YOU HIGH RANKED

if it helps make the game more interesting I'm for it

Recover your opponents on-side kicks then.

Week 3? 4? who cares Rankings

Bama
2. The MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY
3. U of Houston
4. Clempson
5. North Dakota State
6. Harvard
7. Northwest Missouri State
8. The Ohio State G5 stomping Buckeyes
9. LOUISVILLE
10. SDSU

We're trying
We got one two weeks ago

post fat lexi belle

>North Carolina
>has "North" in their state name
>most importantly, no SEC school...disqualified just like Virginia despite both rebelling against the US and forming the Confederate States of America
>also Virginia and North Carolina disqualified for not having beautiful beaches

IS MEMESON OVER
WILL DABO STILL BE THEIR COACH NEXT YEAR

Holy shit 4th quarter just started and Clemson just used their final timeout.

score 23-7 Clemson but still that could be a factor.

Who the fuck uses their last timeout on 3rd & 1, when they're two touchdowns up?

I searched for tacobelle and this is all I got

It's still a 16-point game

why does it matter you are going to lose to miami before you play clemson

Tennessee doesn't even have a beach

No :^)

fugg

Game over

>also Virginia and North Carolina disqualified for not having beautiful beaches
what the fuck are you talking about? north carolina has the best beaches on the east coast.

LOL

>that duck
Did that kid even throw a ball in high school?

But they have N
>Nashville, music capital of the South
>two SEC schools
Virginia and North Carolina have neither

>North Carolina has the best beaches on the east coast

Huh, that's a weird way to spell Florida

GT has pulled off upsets the past two seasons though senpai.

What is the QB doing?

Hilton Head is in SC, bro.
>this is literally a Holiday Inn in Hilton Head
m.ihg.com/hotels/holidayinn/us/en/hoteldetail/hbisc

Being the capital of NASCAR is way more Southern than having fucking Vanderbilt and jew pop country music

They voted for Obama and have Asheville
Plus NASCAR isn't all in the South anymore

But then again, Kentucky & Mizzou
Grand Ole Opry wins out though

What the fuck is with this Chris Berman close up?

Peyton on a sunday mornnnnning

The 3 great capitals of NASCAR:
>Bristol (God Tier)
>Talladega (Elite)
>Daytona (Elite)
...
...
...
All others

The NASCAR headquarters is literally in Charlotte

I sit here and all I see is nothing.

there's your new Cred Forums banner folks.

I live 300 yards from a beach in Florida. Never been to the beach in NC, but photos of Emerald, Lighthouse, Nag's Head...would bring qt3.14 back to North Florida but visit in-laws.

Listened to Gator game from Mick Hubert last week. I'd feel good with Of The River but Wafflehouse sounded Trayvon Harris-tier. If Tennessee doesn't make 2+ more turnovers or piñata forks up kicking, there will be no Twelvessee.

Should be quality bvd video either way.

Rock and Roll hall of fame is in Cleveland

CMS is up there and to deny that would be stupid. Sure someone can grab a lead and run with it because of how fast the track is, but it's literally NASCAR's home.

Can't use NASCAR given their nationalization

your point?

CFB Hall of Fame was mistakenly put in South Bend, IN (Notre Dame) and is in the process of being moved to the South (Atlanta, home of SEC Championship Game)
Same will happen to NC

Headquarters =/= Hall of Fame dipshit

the problem with beaches in florida is that to access them you have to spend time in florida.

my uncle has a condo in hilton head. it's a nice town but it's crawling with yankees and the beach is nothing special. i'll take a shitty little cottage at any old beach in NC over a resort in hilton head any day of the week.

Doesn't really mean much
North Carolina has lost their way since 49

>Same will happen to NC

Don't think NASCAR is looking to move into an even more nigger-tier city like Atlanta after this chimp out

No doubt after tonight, Lamar Jackson is going to kick Clempson's shit in

#5 my ass

>71417037
Not gonna give it

Point is Rock n Roll hall of fame was mistakenly put in Cleveland and it will be relocated soon, probably to Los Angeles

Deshaun is just a bit off. Its odd seeing him not hitting all the throws he usually does.

I'm just happy we won

He needs to lose the weight he gained.

Yeah they said that every game last year too. We kept winning.

>all these borderline yankees arguing about who has the best beaches

Best coast coming through. Gulf Coast faggots, remember the name.

Look in the mirror:

Last riots:
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_incidents_of_civil_unrest_in_the_United_States

2016 - Charlotte Riots

wait till a nigger gets shot in Atlanta

I am pleased Clemson

>Greg Schiano runs over bicyclist
>cuckeyes

Why are you such a faggot? Ohio State is going to kill Michigan.

>civil unrest.
>always seem to be when we have liberal presidents

really makes you think......

For your information some tripfag came on and said some nobody was hurt.

So i switched tosu with michigan

Stay healthy bitch

>go on the road on a short week and beat a 3-0 conference rival by 19

Yeah fucking terrible man

>my face when people actually think the team with the best defense and a top 10 offense in the country will miss the playoffs next season

>Brandon Peters (objectively and statistically the best QB in the 2016 recruiting class, it isn't even debatable)
>Ty Isaac (best RB in the game who will be 100% healthy, unlike the entirety of last year. he will put up 1200+YDs/10+TDs/5.0YPC)
>Jake Butt (a top 3 TE already going into this season, 1000+YDs/7+TDs)
>Sean McKeon (literally a Jake Butt-clone)
>Amara Darboh (top 10 WR, 900+YDs/5+TDs)
>Jabril Peppers (a black guy trapped in a black's body, one of the smartest players in football, elite measurables, incredible upside)
>Kareem Walker (one of the fastest and most explosive players in football)
>Joe Beneducci (best blocking FB in country)

>Best pass rush in the B1G
>Best LB corp in the B1G
>Best secondary in the country
>Top 5 D-Line

Barring major injuries to key players, there is literally no way the Wolverines are missing the playoffs this season

The Michigan B1G championship drought ends in 2016-2017

You can't prove me wrong

Cap it

Michigan won't make the playoffs until Urban retires and Dantonio leaves for an SEC school

cap it

Atlanta ain't backward like Charlotte. Atlanta already sorted all this out in the 60s.

ATL produced Martin Luther King Jr. (which is why they have the Martin Luther King Jr National Historic Site, a U.S. National Park)

Since then, ATL has produced the black star hero QB of Charlotte (Cam Newton) as well as many big-time blacks... muscians like Usher, Ludacris, Outkast, Ciara...comedians like Chris Tuckern Kenan Thompson (SNL)...directors like Spike Lee, etc

at same time ATL produced Julia Roberts, Ryan Seacrest as is home to CNN, Coca Cola, Home Depot and ao o

What does Charlotte have other than a bunch of toothless hicks 100 years behind the times and talking about NASCAR making them relevant?

Atlanta is still the fucking south, its just a bigger Charlotte with a little deep south thrown in

>Dantonio leaves for an SEC school

If he was going to leave he would have by now. He'll probably only coach 5-6 more years.

What happen to all the /cu/ people? like I haven't seen them all week when they were fucking everywhere last week.

Most of them probably weren't really CU people, just people rooting against UM.

Makes sense Cred Forums loves to hate Michigan not saying i support them but desu I wonder why they hate Michigan so much.

>Race relations all good and swell
>liberals unironically vote a black muslim president.
>race relations go to shit.

Coincidence? I THINK NOT.

Democrats hate blacks and their policies hurt blacks. Nothing new there.

>celebrating nigger music

Move out of the South now cuck

Well, the four major styles of BBQ in the US are Carolina and Memphis (the capital of great BBQ), which rely on pork and represent the oldest styles, and Kansas City and Texas, which use beef as well as pork, and represent the later evolution of the original Deep South barbecue.

correlation =/= causation
it's not obongo's fault cops decided to kill more often or that juries let these cops get away with it

folks the Bama vs. Kent State game this weekend has the potential to be one of the 2 worst massacres in Kent State history. i bet no ones made this joke yet

> implying there's anything left of Charlotte.

Same as ND. Big fanbase but they fail a lot so they're easy to make fun of.

>cops decided to kill more often

This isn't happening. The media conjured up all of this outrage for ad rev.

>fault cops decided to kill more often
I bet you believe anything the (((((((media))))))) tells you don't you?

hey could you guys please fuck off out of the college football thread

>being a triggliot

as a racist, does it piss you off that lamar jackson is the best qb this year? or do you think that like chad kelly is actually the best if you uncuck the stats or something

>mfw we beat Tennessee for the 12th (twelfth) year in a row

>mfw i bet florida straight up and earn a nice payout from it
go gators

>atlanta not the lib captial of the south

found the guy thats never spent more than a layover in ATL

>he thinks I care what color QBs are

begging you to uncuck yourself racist I son't obsess about color like you obviously do

Saban went to Kent State so he is just making another donation to his Alma Mater. Alabama paid $1.5 million to Kent State for this game, and Alabama paid Kent State $1.2 million the last time they played under Saban, a 48-7 Tide win in 2011 (the year LSU beat Alabama in Alabama but the voters loved Saban so they gave Alabama a second chance at winning the national title despite Alabama not being their rival at home, not winning their division, not playing in their conference championship game, and not winning their conference
>Saban fans will defend this
The voters will do the same for young Urban Meyer at Ohio State (Meyer is 12 years younger than Saban and is the next Saban)

>seriously not liking hiphop

keep your lynard skynyrd to yourself there gramps

>he doesn't vote liberal.
>he must be a racist.

my how closed minded of you.

They gave Bama a second chance in 2011 because Ok. St. lost to fucking Iowa St.

As for paying Kent St., who gives a shit, every elite program pays cupcakes to come take a beating. Don't really care if it's the coach's alma mater or not.

Democratic president, Republican everything else is the patrician's choice for this election.
Trump is a meme, and a bad 9gag meme at that, and Hillary is just centrist enough to be a good president, plus she picked a pro-life running mate

nah he's just your average libcuck racist that only sees color and don't think blacks can take care of themselves without a permanent government salary for not working so they never achieve more than welfare status

or run us into another war that we dont need

t.someone whos fed up with le edgy altrights and shillary

it was more the pepe meme and you guys talking about how black people getting murdered by the police is really just a jew media conspiracy that tipped me off

trump is uh not exactly the candidate of peace, though

You honestly believe Hillary has what it takes? I mean to be honest I'm independent, I believe for nations to survive and flourish there has to be compromise. What you have in Trump supporters and Hillary supporters are fanatical nutcases that don't know what compromise is. Neither Trump or Clinton are fit to be president.

Trump has the temper and charisma to start nuclear war and Hillary will want to bring in """""refugees"""" and further cause a divide among the american people.

So in a word we are fucked...... and no not the fun fucked.

oh good lord you unironically believe that pepe is a white supremacist symbol.

yeah I'm done even remotely listening to your dribble. .

I vote liberal.

I still recognize that videos of black men being killed by the police are going to surface when you are 6% of the population but commit 50% of the violent crime.

You must go to Michigan then.

lol where?
Syria is a bust, the ceasefire recently will probably be conducive to a long, but less violent peace process where both sides finally understand that they need a united nation to fight back the IS.

If anything Hillary will just continue arming the rebels and sending drones, something Trump would do too anyway. The Hillary is le liar shit is too much of a meme
Did she make mistakes? Yes
Is it understandable for anyone who would have been in her Position? Yes
Would it make her a bad president? No, if anything the experience of handling real fucking political meltdowns would give her something not many presidential candidates would ever have
>Even considering voting third party
Might as well throw your vote down the drain.

In any case, if the Republican party ever wants a chance to win an election with a respectable candidate again, they need Clinton to win...hard.

Maybe that will finally hammer into said edgy altrights' and dumbass rednecks' heads that they need to be smart when voting in the primary and elect a godamn qualified, non-shit sandwich candidate instead of a semi-charismatic assbucket

That's what he's become, yeah. I know he didn't used to be.

I believe that the media has for some reason (perhaps to give Sanders a chance) has shone Hillary in a terrible light. I believe that she would make a fine president.
Also nothing's led me to believe that she would "import" refugees here any more than what Obama's been doing.

Oklahoma State was Conference Champs and didn't lose to LSU
>Alabama was neither. Just more Saban dick-licking. Within the next 15-25 years, Bama fans will artificially claim multiple other titles no one thinks Saban won as they always do. Business as usual in delusional Alabama
>who Bama fan here?

but they lost to Iowa fucking State

>I highly admire Angela Merkel

>nothing to play for

Beating Iowa State at Iowa State? Who gives a shit? Most meanless accomplishment. Nobody would try or aspire to do that. How Fucking Dumb Are You?

I live in ann arbor now after graduating. I never believed it til I started living here and I never even go to North campus...

The difference is that LSU was one of the strongest teams ever that year and ISU was a team that only made a bowl because of that OSU win and then lost that bowl to, as I recall, UConn.

People trying to argue that there is any sort of equivalency between those two losses really is one of the funniest things from the last decade or so of college football

oh, i see, you're being silly. good night, buddy.

Oklahoma State was one of the strongest teams ever that year. 1st R QB Weeden, 1st R WR Justin Blackmon, 1st R CB Justin Gilbert, etc

You're in here shitting up /cfb/ with BAMABAMABAMA nonsense and misinformation every time someone mentions the 2011 season. Get off Saban's dick and shut the fuck up. Alabama homers are not welcome here.

They were! They were pretty awesome. The way LSU shit the bed offensively in the national championship game, I bet OSU would've beat them. It's too bad they lost that game to ISU.

You're a Fucking Retard. LSU had nobody on offense. Jordan Jefferson was their QB. Literal whos everywhere except for Honey Badger on D. Yeah they beat Oregon but who doesnt?

What do you mean shit the bed? LSU had no offense that year you Fucking Retard. First game vs Bama they didn't score either. How Fucking Dumb Are You?

Why do you keep capitalizing random words?

Because he's calling you a Fucking Retard. I know reading is hard for a Alabama homer, but try to keep up.

Because you are an Absolute Retard in capital letters. Go play with your dolls

an* Alabama homer

Has this tripfag galvanized and sharpened the dislike for Bama into razor-sharp carbob steel Hatred? Hope so. Kept it up tripfag. I'll go for hoping Ohio State beats Bama this year. That will have to be the most butt blasting for Bama fans

We don't play Ohio State, though.

Didn't hear this when GT whooped MSU's ass in the Orange Bowl two years ago. It's about having competent offensive lineman. Or a decent OL coach. Tech has neither.

>we
CFP Playoffs dumbass, Ohio beating Alabama is the CFP playoffs would have to the most butt blasting scenario for Bama fans, so that's what i hope for

Listen buddy, just face facts. OSU was the better team that year. Know how I know? They won their conference. Alabama? They didn't even win their division. Period. End of story. You have no argument. There's a reason that CFP talk started up in earnest after the 2011 season. Because everyone from coaches to fans to the NCAA to the media realized that the Bama dicksucking had gone too far. Alabama was allowed to skip their lose their division, skip their conference championship, and coast right on to the BCS championship game. No one gives a flying fuck who Oklahoma State lost to. Their loss didn't affect them winning their conference. Oklahoma State proved their worth by winning their conference. What did Alabama win to prove their worth? Nothing. Alabama didn't win either their division or conference. But somehow they were considered National Champions in that season. Its bullshit. You know, I know it, and all of college football knows it. Which is why we have a playoff system now.

I seriously think he's trolling, because this is the only guy on /cfb/ who seriously argues for Bama.

I have to think running that offense has to be an albatross in recruiting, though. For GT I mean.

>Black cop in Charlotte kills armed black man for legitmate reason
>Family lies to officers
>Riots happen courtesy of BLM

MEANWHILE

>White cop in Tulsa kills unarmed black man for illegitimate reason
>Family outright tells BLM not to come to keep things civil
>Don't even need protests to get cop charged with manslaughter

GT whooped Clemson but the GT vs FSU ACCCG and GT vs MSU (Dak Prescott) Orange Bowl were great games
I loved that GT team. It was loaded with two great RBs a great QB and great linemen on both OL and DL etc. Sad GT hasn't reloaded since then. GT is 3-10 vs Power 5 teams since then (beat FSU last year and Vandy and BC this year)

Aww, thanks for rooting for us to make the playoff, buddy. :)

>No one gives a flying fuck who Oklahoma State lost to
If that were true they would have made it in to the National Championship game. You and everyone else know very well that whether or not you won your conference doesn't mean shit to how good your team is, and using it as a criterion for playoff/BCS entry is nonsense.

And I fully supported moving to the playoff and I support expanding it now, but for the record, thus far it has resulted in Bama winning the national championship 50% of the time and Oklahoma State winning the championship 0% of the time. :)

>You and everyone else know very well that whether or not you won your conference doesn't mean shit to how good your team is

The delusion of Alabama fans is monumental.

Atlanta burning

>If that were true they would have made it in to the National Championship game. You and everyone else know very well that whether or not you won your conference doesn't mean shit to how good your team is, and using it as a criterion for playoff/BCS entry is nonsense.

Okay now I know you're shitting up /cfb/. No one can be this dumb. By that same logic, not winning the first round playoff game doesn't mean shit. Winning any game in your conference doesn't mean shit. Winning games at all doesn't mean shit. Fucking Southern Miss with 12 losses in 2012 could've been the BCS champion, by your logic.

You know I'm right. People who make this argument about 2011 are like birthers. They didn't actually give a shit whether Obama was born in America - they just wanted him out of office.

It's like talking to a 2-year-old boy who swears he's a girl and refuses to believe otherwise and the more you reason with him the more he swears he's a girl

Motherfucker, you are so dense. You cannot make an engaging argument besides "Nuh-uh, Oklahoma State sucked, Bama is better."

You even resort to bullshit tactics like saying "You know I'm right." and then referring to some completely unrelated political bullshit. You have no argument.

The team is exactly as good as it is. Assigning extra weight to whether it's better or worse than 9-14 teams in rough geographical proximity is weird and nonsensical.

Why should conference championships be factored in when handing out BCS/playoff berths? Why would you not just judge the team off the games it played?

>The team is exactly as good as it is.

Yes and tell us Einstein, how exactly do we measure how good that is?

>GT

Based on the games it played against other teams during the year.

Right, and do a team just schedule any random number of games, or do they play a set schedule of teams per year? Like, idk, SEC teams playing mostly SEC teams, ACC teams playing mostly ACC teams, etc.

The second one. They play 3-4 games out of conference, and 8-9 deterministically scheduled conference games.

Good news is the GT cheerleaders got to have a fun time riding on the car

>do not respond to Bama posters

Can we get this line put in the thread OP?

Me in the top right

Oh okay, so then conference games make up the majority of a team's schedule each year? I guess that makes the team winning as many conference games as possible pretty important huh? And in the event that a team, say Alabama, was tied with another team, say Oklahoma State, I wonder what we could use to break the tie between those teams?

Oh I know, whether a team won their conference. You know, having the best record of wins in your conference. Because winning those conference games is important remember? They make up the majority of the schedule the team plays every year? Seems Alabama didn't win their conference that year, but Oklahoma State did.

If you've noticed I'm speaking to you like I would a kindergartner, it's because you're acting like a kindergartner.

she really liked her cheese dip

Kelsey Swilling @k_swagg2

Thank you @GordosCheeseDip for the free dip and coupons!

Jesus, you're doing all my work for me. Why would we use whether a team won the conference as a tiebreaker? OSU winning their conference says that they were the best team in their conference. Bama not winning their conference says (or at least, functions as a strong argument that) that they were at best the second best team in their conference. But - and this is the crucial point - it says nothing in and of itself about the quality of the two teams relative to one another.

There was a good bit of orange that showed up messing with the white out tonight

It says that Alabama wasn't the best team in their conference. Therefore, how could they be the best team in the country?

I'd dip it in her cheese, if ya know what I mean

How could OSU be the best team in the country after losing to 6-6 ISU?

and - more importantly - the battle for the #2 spot boiled down that year to a question of who was better between OSU and Bama. And my point is that the positions of the two teams within their conferences did nothing to answer that in a way that the 12 games each of the teams played did not

Even the special white honeycomb helmets couldn't help

Remember Ohio State 2014.
And did I need to mention the context of the game?

Ahh, but see you're changing the subject and attempting to dodge the issue.

But to humor you, Oklahoma State was the best team from their conference. So it could only be decided on the field in a championship game whether they were the best team in the country. Sadly, before the BCS game we already knew Alabama wasn't the best. They weren't even the best in their division. LSU finished 8-0 in their division. Alabama finished 7-1. Doesn't matter who Oklahoma State played or lost to, in their conference they had the best record. Nationwide, that made them a better candidate than Alabama for the BCS game. Especially since Alabama lost to the other candidate for the BCS. It was already determined that Alabama was a poorer team than LSU. We didn't need a BCS rematch to determine that.

Even hardcore Bama fans acknowledge the one-side nature of that season and that championship game. Why can't you?

GT is 3-10 vs Power 5 teams since 2014 (beat FSU last year and Vandy and BC this year)

>why can't you?

Because tripfags are sluts for (You)s.

The BCS let in the top 2 teams in the country. That was the criteria. You had to be one of the two best. Bama lost their conference to the #1 team; in no way was that a disqualifying factor.for them being the #2 team. And as to the question of who was more deserving of the #2 spot - the positions of Bama and OSU within their conferences were irrelevant to that. What mattered were the games they won and lost during the season. If you want to argue the merits there, go ahead.

I absolutely acknowledge the one-sided nature of that championship game, though. We whooped that ass.

Yeah, I think clearly the answer to both our rhetorical questions is that a single game is not a perfect representation of the quality of either of the teams involved. The disparity of the two Bama-LSU matchups that year is evidence of that.

going to bed now btw

>bend over and let me slap that fat ass, good boy SLAAAAAAAPP SLAAAAAAAPPPP SLAAAAAAAPP SLAAAAAAAPP SLAAAAAAAPP SLAAAAAAAPP SLAAAAAAAPP...until about 300 or so and lots of sobbing

With the win over Georgia Tech, Clemson is now 21-1 since they lost to GT in 2014, with the sole loss a 5-point loss to Bama in last year's Title Game

This is what some Auburn fans did last week for aTm. While these Auburn fans are quite obviously nerds and ugly chicks, a church group or something, it is interesting to see what letters the alphas of the group got. I'm guessing it is the two guys with the "A"s (the lead one obviously being the actual alpha) as well as the guy wearing the #1. Also interesting to see that the guy with the "B" is quite obviously a beta

Best friend is an Aggie, his dad went to Arkansas. They both live in Houston with me.

Watching their game with these two drunks. Dis gon be good,

tfw /cfb/ hasnt realized that Arkansas is the most entertaining team in college football and that they should hop on the bandwagon now before they beat aggy tomorrow and it's too late

Why on Earth would anyone hop on that fatass's bandwagon?

You know he's guaranteed to drop a game in humiliating fashion.

SMU is currently in the midst of their Family Day Weekend 2016.
The game, at SMU tonight, is the highlight of the weekend

Why don't you just buy a good team?

Aggie bet not take them to OT I tell you hwat

Because the last time we did that we got the death penalty.

But they obviously aren't going to give it out again.

>Implying beating a team that only has wins against BC, Mercer and Vandy is considered good

>Utah not as much fun that last year
Still want to watch the game tonight.

SMU has such a gorgeous campus. Those buildings, those oak trees, all that beautiful green space. If SMU was more competitive in football, I'd wager their tailgating experience would rival some of the greats and even give Ole Miss a run for their money.

South South is best South.

The two battle for the Iron Skillet
"TCU and SMU fans began the tradition in 1946. During pre-game festivities, an SMU fan was frying frog legs as a joke before the game. A TCU fan, seeing this desecration of the "frog", went over and told him that eating the frog legs was going well beyond the rivalry and that they should let the game decide who would get the skillet and the frog legs. SMU won the game, and the skillet and frog legs went to SMU.
The tradition spilled over into the actual game and the Iron Skillet is now passed to the winner."

There are a lot of A&M grads in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, but Jones himself is a Arkansas alum and so are a lot of his rich friends. Who holds a crowd advantage in a game at Jerry World? This is actually something we can speculate on, unlike a Bama vs. USC at Jerry World where neither team has ties to the area or stadium.

Fun fact about SMU:
SMU Law School must be the only law school in the nation literally right across the street from a southern breakfast and fried chicken joint called Bubba's

Also right across the street from SMU Law School you have an old timey BBQ joint called Peggy Sue's

The Lone Ranger himself personally approves of Peggy Sue's BBQ sauce she douses her ribs with

It will be 55/45 Arkansas/A&M

Lot of Arkansas graduates in the area as well.

Then 3 doors down from Peggy Sue's BBQ you got the Cisco Grill...

...where inside you will find more Texas-themed deco

Texas barbecue or Southeastern style? That sounds like a gameday stop for sure.

some of these work, some of these don't

Two blocks north of Bubba's, you can get this Southeen breakfast and fried chicken-looking sandwhich at the East Hampton Sandwhich Co. (which was founded in Dallas four years ago by a 25-year-old law student named Hunter Pond, which has the be the most country-sounding name ever)

>my high school director is the assistant director at USF now
>that fucker never entered us into hot day
fuck that guy, im glad i didnt do band in college

No, none of those work. Nebraska is wearing overalls, Alabama looks like Texas A&M, and Texas is wearing orange pants. Fuck no. Blasphemy.

Then of course you have your Tex Mex places. For ex, right next door to Peggy Sue's BBQ and the Cisco Grill is Banditos Tex-Mex Cantina...

Not USF, but I was a member of the Cal Band. Best 4 years of my life right there, even if our record over my time there was 16-33 including a 1-11 season my senior year.

...where inside you will of course find a Texas flag and a big picture of Willie Nelson (one of several of the restaurants in the neighborhood with a picture of Willie Nelson on the wall)

Heard Goffs burned down recently on Hillcrest. Is that true?

Ugly

And if you take SMU Boulevard and head east of campus you'll pass this place with the big Texas flag out front

Then right around the corner from that you'll find this country-looking place called the Ozona Bar and Grill where you can enjoy Bloody Marys from their make-your-own Bloody Mary bar...

...which annually gets voted the best patio dining in Dallas...

...where you can get Southern-looking food like this...

..and this...

...and this...

SMU's stadium

rate my picks

Aww. I like the white hemets with white pants the best

Sure it isn't. I know its a memorial for the Dallas cops, but just like Houston, SMU has been trying to trying to pimp themselves out as a hyper-Texan school the past few months. Houston had Gov. Abbott advocating for them, SMU has most of the state representatives from the Dallas area putting pressure on Texas and the Big 12.

I don't think they'll have a chance, given their small stadium size, their football record, and the fact that between TCU and Baylor, not to mention UT and OU, the Dallas market is pretty much locked up. That's the advantage Houston has; the Houston TV market has proved a tough nut to crack for college football and UH could bring that market to the Big 12.

The Big 12 is fucking retarded to not pick up BYU. They're practically handing the SEC their death warrant if they pass them up. All this liberal bullshit about BYU's honor code is just social justice shilling that has nothing to do with either academics, athletics, or money. They will regret it.

That being said, UT really wants Houston. And given how much Texas politics interferes with Big 12 decision making, I'd say they're a safe bet.

I can't see the Big 12 pickup up a service academy, so Air Force is out.

Colorado State carries the Denver TV market (#11 nationwide), but they've had numerous losing and meh seasons for the past 12 or 13 years.

Cincinnati, however, has had increasing success in the same time period and has built a very successful football program in the Big East and the AAC. They carry the Cincinnati TV market which is #36. They could also provide a travel partner for lonely West Virginia.

Besides those four (Houston, BYU, Colorado State, and Cincinnati) none of the candidates bring a really impressive resume to the Big 12. UCF and USF are attractive, but they're half a world away from the nearest conference opponent and they'd be a travel outlier just like WVU.

:00 ET TCU at SMU (ESPN)

They aren't there for SMU

Pac-12 fan here, I want BYU and CSU if we ever expand more. They'd be better rivals to Utah and Colorado than those are to each other, and it's not like there's other good options on the table beyond those two.

So should I be hoping that the Big 12 doesn't take them so that the Pac-12 can get them later? Or should I hope that the Big 12 DOES take them in order to get those two hooked on P5 membership and then hope the Big 12 collapses and we get them after that?

the 3rd option

>the 3rd option
What's that? I only posted two.

>Or should I hope that the Big 12 DOES take them in order to get those two hooked on P5 membership and then hope the Big 12 collapses and we get them after that?

You fucking vulture. Stop playing SEC Junior and preying on other P5 conferences. If you want to expand, raid a mid-major conference. Pick up Boise.

Because the presidents that run the universities like their academics. And the presidents are the people that make the decisions on who gets in.

Oh I read that wrong. I mean the 2nd one

Nice looking stream

We're all the way out on the fucking west coast, we don't blend into each other's territory like the other four do. The only way to add schools that actually meet enough of our criteria is to look at schools that are in the Big 12 or are close enough that they're able to apply to it.

>boise
That would be like option number 20, far below the acceptable line. The only criteria they meet is being a decent FBS power, everything else is laughable.

Besides, it's not like we'd be directly poaching like we did with Colorado, it's either a) taking the rejected schools the Big 12 turned down or b) taking the leftover schools that don't have a home after the Big 12 collapses. That's not the same thing as being a conference raider.

>is regionally connected to the existing conference members
>has good academics
>has good research
>has good football
>has good olympic sports
>is in a good media market
>holds the same cultural values as the existing conference members
>is financially strong enough to be in the same competitive tier as a business
>on top of all of this, must have another school close by that meets all of the above conditions too in order to be their rival and split revenue with
There are no schools that meet all of these, the best we can get are ones that meet enough of them. BYU meets most of them, boise only meets two (regional and football).

>>on top of all of this, must have another school close by that meets all of the above conditions too in order to be their rival and split revenue with
doesnt this mean you can only expand to 16, not 14
if everyone has to be in buddy pairs then the divisions wouldn't work at 7 each so you would need to add 2 more schools
go add unlv and nevada, they kinda suck but having that hole between oregon cali arizona and utah is really irritating

>b) taking the leftover schools that don't have a home after the Big 12 collapses. That's not the same thing as being a conference raider.

By taking Colorado you contributed to the Big 12's plight now. Stick to mid-majors or Big 12 expansion rejects. BYU is fair game.

Who drinking?

I'd be thrilled to get BYU I just wish stanford and cal would get off their stupid liberal high horses and not veto them when there are actual, real, important reasons to accept them. It's not like we started this either, we just figured the Big 12 was going to start collapsing when Nebraska announced to leave, so we got in while the going was good. In fact it would have collapsed if the networks didn't exempt the Big 12 from the clause that said they wouldn't suffer from a pro-rata decrease if they had less members but kept the clause that said they'd get a pro-rate increase if they added more again.

So whose fault is it that the Big 12 is fighting the networks right now and possibly threatening their media future over a greedy cash grab? Whose fault is it that Nebraska had enough and left in the first place triggering the domino effect? Oh look, they're both Texas. You can't blame that on us, we didn't cause this situation we just gave Colorado an out. That's perfectly sensible.

meant they could give them a probationary period for academics, but what?

>;_; both invalid

I'm going to shoot the TCU offensive coordinator

SMU should be a B12 candidate

what a fucking gay

...

>Baylor and TCU are already in
SMU should have been automatically disqualified from even being considered

Reported to the proper authorities

Rice should be a B12 candidate

>No picture of the FBI tip
You almost had it

You STFU or I'll show you my BIG Tip

>My sister is in the ER
Sims are gonna stop with 9 games
Who do I pick for Cal-Arizona State?

You can still show me right big boi

>parents coming to first bama game tomorrow
>dad only brought Mississippi state polo
>mom brought Tennessee blouse

Why

L8ter

behave yourself

I doubt North Dakota State could move to Power 5, but could they move to the MAC or Mountain West?
Which would be a better fit

simulate NC State @ BYE

because fuck bama

Could we consider Notre Dame the "bar" between a good team and a not-good team? I just look at their schedule and there is some quality there, so I wonder if beating Notre Dame means you're a good team, and losing to them means you're not.

Knowhatimsayin?

They shot themselves in the foot by going independent

>tfw I just found out recently that one of my relatives I never met is a huge on youtube as a medical marijuana growing guy
>tfw california is voting in november to legalize weed completely not just medically
>tfw if it passes there will be a huge amount of people wanting to get hooked up and I just happen to know a guy
>tfw I have never smoked weed or known anyone who has my whole life
feels weird man

The Big XII....we're pretty much G5 at this point

Because they're products of inbreeding

Does anyone ever want USC to win besides USC fans? I really hope Utah just stomps them

shit, so is the EEC

people state that ndsu is happy being fcs. so they might not move up unless its for a P5 spot which I dont see coming

MWC, they already have wyoming. if montana comes too, then even more likely.

USC fandom is a disease

is she alright simbro?

ESPN "experts" were saying that even UCLA fans should be rooting for USC to beat alabama because it improves our strength of schedule, but no. That's just wrong, and backwards too. I will always want USC to lose, the strength of schedule thing is just a consolation prize if they happen to win.

They're a blue blood
Cfb is better when they're good

Why aren't you there instead of shitposting?

I disagree. If every blueblood (except mine) went to shit, I'd be ecstatic. Get some cellar dwellars and G5s in the playoffs. Fuck any other team which could be seen as a better program

>t. notre dame fan

That's just silly user

>"experts"

>people still don't know Houston is going to the p/o

Thread for Utah/USC?

>Boise in never going anywhere
fucking Perfectionist

App State moved up

For now
