If he wins a 3rd SB this year where does he rank in QBs All Time?

If he wins a 3rd SB this year where does he rank in QBs All Time?

Top 15

Above Joe flacco , below Carson Palmer

Fringe top 10, probably 12-13th. Never really put up great numbers before 2014.

top 20, maybe top 15

some would put him in the top 10 but that would be a stretch

t. steelers fan

What a stupid question, it'd depend entirely on how he'd perform.

>Rapesleberger making it to week 7

He'll tear his ACL long before that.

>below Carson Palmer
google please

You don't need raw stats for this type of list. Favre's TD/INT ratio is abysmal, and he is still a top 15 qb.

Big Ben would be 13ish, I agree with you there.

Top 20

He is really nothing special outside his build

he is like brady

you can't remember anything special about his plays

except he threw a great pass to whatshisface in the SB and that is it

If he wins one more, top 20 for sure

If he wins 2+ (having 4+ total) he'd have to be in the conversation for top 10.

3rd

Joe Flacco is a statically average qb who had 1 amazing postseason. He is honestly one of the worst QBs to win a superbowl.

He has a stronger arm than Brady

Not as accurate

One of the most lethal out of the pocket passers ever.

Plus - shitty offensive lines for a lot of his career. Will probably deal with pain in retirement because of it.

Higher than Terry Bradshaw and would bexpect easily the GOAT QB for the Steelers franchise.

Being carried by the defense to 2 rings and legitimately winning 1>>>>>>Being carried by the defense for all 4 rings.

Ben would objectively top 8 All Time with 3rd ring and a few more years of stat padding.

Thats where I disagree with you regarding Favre. He has the passing records though, he led the league in passing yards twice, Touchdowns 4 times, has 3 MVPs. His Career totals are inflated because he played for so long and was a true gunslinger, but he had some truly great years.

no doubt

great arm and build but I just honestly don't remember much from his plays

no dragons no clutch play actions that saved a game.

nothing

>never thrown for 4000 yards
>never thrown for 30 TDs

Flacco is mediocre at best. Literally "Throw it up and hope for a PI" the QB.

nigga what

Poor man's Favre that was fortunate to have a legendary defense for 2/3 rings.

Around 9th-12th All Time, and that's IF he wins the SB, SB MVP and NFL MVP this year. He has the talent around him to accomplish this.

I think post season success, along with the stats should be factored in with these discussions. Favre had monster seasons, but lost an owl and had many shitty games where he threw 3+ picks. Favre is definitely top 10, but could have been much more.

Look at Steve Young. Statistically one of the best passers, and one of the best rushing QBs of all time. But he only has one ring, and choked a lot against the cowboys and packers. If he won another ring we would be talking about Joe and Steve as the #1 and #2 GOATs.

How is Carson "literally never won a playoff game till last season" Palmer better Big Ben?

that was b8, m8.

chill out.

Absolutely. GOAT status in the NFL has always been attributed with getting it done in the playoffs. Marino would be undisputed if he had 2 or more rings. Instead you have guys like Bradshaw and Aikman, who weren't statistically great, but rode team success to multiple championships.

Ben is currently about 10th, 11th, or 12th in just about every major passing category.

Optimistically, he has about 3 seasons or so to win more superbowls and statpad.

With Antonio Brown, he has a chance to move into the top 5 or so in most of those categories.

With 3+ superbowls and top 10 in every category... pretty strong resume.

Once Brady eventually retires, Ben and Rodgers will fill the "Brady/Manning MMXVI" meme-hole

I wouldn't mind that, the Packers/Steelers SB in 2011 was one of the better SB games in the last decade.

Just wished Rodgers saw that Steelers D in their prime and not when they were washed af.

Is this actually true. Seems hard to believe. TOo lazy to look it up

...

Here's Alex Smith for comparison's sake.

this. If he has a Brady or prime Flacco-tier postseason, it helps him. Ben's 1st SB he was shit and was carried by his D and muh refs. Ben's 2nd SB he was good vs cardinals and gave em a TD at the end of the game, was clutch. So if he gets a 3rd...not many QB's have a 3rd. Thats literally more than anyone else than brady whose active so lets just hope that doesnt happen

Please for the love of god Stairway to seven this year.
