Give us a list of mods and make their moderating actions visible in some kind of log.
Force them to justify each moderating action ("Thread autosaged because /bundes/", "user banned because he made fun of my favourite team", etc).
Give us tools to communicate with them. Give us the possibility to read their IRC to see what they're up to and create a separate IRC that would allow us to contact them.

And all of a sudden mods are held accountable for their actions. If they abuse their power, we can log it and call for a replacement. As of now, mods are essentially a secret police that can do whatever it wants and is accountable to nobody. As we've seen countless times before, this leads to power abuse.

The problem is that some of the Feefer people are more interested in sports than video games and barely play other games, so I can understand why they would want to have their shit on Cred Forums. Same with trb.

The solution to Cred Forums is to get rid of the terrible one-word threads. When hundreds of threads appear during some form of JUST happening, they need to be removed. Perhaps a temporary block on starting new threads would be a good idea.

Some bro stuff is good, but if you make a rule that it's allowed, you will ultimately make Cred Forums even worse. It will just become /brit/, and that would be atrocious.

Generals killed Cred Forums culture almost as much as mods. Cred Forums used to revolve around game (event) threads with discussions springing up before/after. Now it revolves around generals and most of the discussion and even gamethreads get sucked up by generals. Mods easing up would barely change anything if posters don't act like they used to before generals got popular.
