CHC (98-55) look to get their 99th regular season win for the first time since 1935 Cubs (100-54), who went on to lose the Eries to the Tigers. Hammel (15-9, 3.56 ERA) to open for Chicago.
STL (80-73) are half a game back from a wild card slot, and hoping to secure a spot in the postseason. They're also hoping to prevent a sweep at Wrigley, which would result in the Cubs getting their 100th win against the Cards. Reyes (3-1, 1.03 ERA) to open for St. Louis.
If Chicago sweeps St. Louis this weekend, it'll be their first time reaching 100 wins in September since 1907, and their first time reaching 100 wins in a home game since 1909.
This will also mark the first time doing any of these things since they moved to Wrigley in 1916.

They'll probably still reach 100 wins before September ends though.

Well, so much for breaking 100 at home. Would've been a huge windfall to the local economy. Instead it's going to happen on the road and benefit Pittsburgh or Cincinnati.
Jordan Collins
it won't happen at all family :)
