Any takers? I don't know where else to ask.

It will just be

The future seems nice. An argie, MSC will be back (although probably he'll be just SCH)....

No way they wouldn't give Mick MSC.

this Also honestly Rosberg is still piss poor as a driver, the only good thing will be Hamiltanties. Wouldn't call him GOAT

So SCH i guess? And agree. If I was german I'd give my son a traditional german name like Otto or Helmuth or some shit like that

>It was always like that. Nico and Lewis. Lewis and Nico. They'd first met when they were teenagers, limbs lanky and too long for them, clothes too baggy to be taken seriously and with haircuts as bad as the weather on the day they first met.
>It was always like that. Nico and Lewis. Lewis and Nico. They'd first met when they were teenagers, limbs lanky and too long for them, clothes too baggy to be taken seriously and with haircuts as bad as the weather on the day they first met.
>They'd grew up still racing beside each other and crossing paths all around the world and it still always was like that. Later, they'd finally both got into Formula 1, racing each other, fulfilling their childhood daydreams in the company of the other.

>And it was still like that now. Them fighting for the World Championship for the third consecutive year, trying to psychologically fuck up each other week by week, race by race. Their relationship now crumbling and twisted, barely existent anymore, but more apparent than ever. They were dancing around each other never letting the other out of their sight. Spending days on trying to get the other to give in.
>But it's still like that. After all these years they're still somehow comforting each other after bad races. In the past it was lingering hugs behind stacks of tyres, tangled hands under bed sheets, small and sweet kisses, softly pressed all over naked bodies and now it´s sex. Hard, fast, demanding but so much better than every other way of comforting.
>And even before Nico was done with his press work, he knew how his day would end. He felt the familiar adrenaline shoot up his spine, making him giddy with anticipation. One glance at Lewis was enough to see it in the Brit´s eyes: The desire and need.

>Nico was just getting out of the shower, wrapping a towel around his waist, as he heard familiar footsteps in his hotel room and the sound of the door opening and closing. With a last glance into the mirror, he made his way out, only to find Lewis there, toeing off his shoes and getting rid sheading his sweater.
>They'd done this for so many years and it still always made his stomach flutter and his heart race and as he stepped into Lewis' personal space to tear of his shirt, he felt the Brit´s heart race against his chest. It´s just who they were and how they worked.
>Lewis shirt was flung aside and the German kissed him passionately, pushing open his mouth with his tongue, pressing himself flush against Lewis. The Brit responded equally as fiery, sucking on Nico´s tongue and pulling off the towel in one swift motion, making Nico moan into his mouth. He pushed his naked thighs between Lewis´ legs to feel his cock harden against him.

When he signs with Holden Racing Team RedBull and beats SvG in a tightly fought last round.

>Pressing down a little harder he started sucking at the Brit´s neck, determined to leave a mark - a reminder of their night and their bond. Visible to everyone but the meaning so unclear. Lewis let his head fall back, his breathing already ragged and he was almost painfully hard.
>Nico couldn´t resist anymore, his fingers fumbling open the Brit´s belt, and tugging down his trousers, waiting for Lewis to kick them off. When Lewis did so, Nico started stroking his cock, teasingly sweeping over the top to make Lewis moan out in pleasure.
>“I need you to fuck me, Nico!” His breath was rapid and the words barely audible but Nico would know what he meant and make it happen. He knew that this was what Lewis needed today.

>“I´m gonna make you feel so good, babe!” He breathed into the Brit´s ear before sinking onto his knees before him and taking him into his mouth, looking up at Lewis through his long eyelashes, while hollowing his cheeks and bobbing his head up and down on Lewis´ cock.
>He was throwing his back and tried to stifle his moans but, holy shit. Nico always knew what he was doing, so he just shamelessly grunted as the German gave his balls a massage before getting up again and pushing Lewis onto the bed.
>“Hands on the head board and ass up!” Nico’s tone was commanding and, god, he sounded so hot like this.

>Lewis willingly dropping on hands and knees, resting his head on the pillow, sweat already clinging to his back and his forehead and his heart racing in his chest.
>Nico took a large amount of lube and without a warning he pushed a lube-covered finger into his teammate, making him squirm and curse out loudly. Lewis relaxed slightly and pushed back against the finger inside him. Adding another finger, Nico slowly pressed against his entrance, pushing in and grazing slightly over Lewis´ prostate, making him grunt loudly.
>“Nico get on with it for fucks sake!” The Brit´s voice was broken and he sounded wrecked, so Nico took pity on him. Rolling a condom onto his cock and giving it a few strokes. He lined up behind his teammate, before slowly pushing in, giving Lewis the time to adjust to the cock inside of him.

This is some netx level Autism

>When he felt Lewis relax, he started to roughly fuck into him, making the Brit cry out in pleasure, not able to form words anymore. His hands were grabbing onto the headboard and his face was pressed into the pillow, muffling his sounds.
>Nico reached around Lewis to grab his cock, precome already leaking onto the bed sheds, Lewis biting down onto his bottom lip until he could taste the blood on his lips. Nico was fucking him hard against the bed now, hitting his prostate with every thrust, his hand roughly tugging at Lewis cock as he felt the familiar warmth spread into his stomach, so he picked up the pace to make Lewis come before him.
>The Brit cried out his Name as he came, shuddering under him and slumping against the sheets, as Nico fucked him through his orgasm, feeling the heat gathering before a wave of white washed over him. Moaning loudly he slumped on top of Lewis.

You forgot Kovalainen

>He stayed buried inside his teammate for a few moments before he withdrew himself and flung away the condom in the direction of the bin.
>Panting they were lying beside one another, starring onto the ceiling. Nico took Lewis' hand in his, the Brit didn´t flinch but only curled his fingers into the free spaces between Nico´s. Fitting like they were made to be right there and nowhere else.
>Because after all they still need each other more than anything. In their twisted, fucked up lives in the flashlight, they still needed that bit of sanity to keep them going.

nico fucked me, nico's fucked me

Did you forget the last 2.5 years? The Renault Engines are garbage and can't really compete with the Merc PU. Unless it gets good, RBR are gonna be held back by they're engine.

>The Renault Engines are garbage and can't really compete with the Merc PU
So that's Renault's fault and has nothing to do with how well Red Bull adapt to new regulations.

Exactly; your point is flawed. Doesn't matter how good they are at adapting, they're shit PU is gonna hold them back and it's unlikely Ricky is gonna win a WDC unless the engine jumps ahead in horsepower.

>mfw it comes out in a few years that Mercedes was going faster because they put some Red Bull in their fuel

So if the Redbulls had the current Mercedes engine and PU how much more competitive would they be?

It would be ricciardowinslol

Probably RBR chasing Mercs down every race. Merc's would be faster in qualy but RBR would generally have better race pace.

If RBR had the same engine software as the Merc team it would be the reverse of what it is it now. RBRWL.

go on the GIMI diet

No, it'll just prove once and for all that Hamilton isn't the driver he once was. I used to be certain he'd be known as a legend one day, but with this being the era of free Mercedes championships and him being as rusty as he is, I'm nowhere near as sure anymore. If he actually loses to Rosberg, it'll be hilariously damning.

He was on par with Ricciardo, who's hailed as a top driver for seemingly no reason besides having a monster car right now. He just didn't have the backing of the British media.

Pastor and Felipe being bros is heartwarming.

>I used to be certain he'd be known as a legend one day

The British F1 media will ensure that.

Which is fucking depressing.

To be fair, 2016's not exactly the most entertaining game in the world. Career Mode's still nowhere near as good as it could (or should) be, so you're stuck with leagues or occasional MP races with friends for fun.

Even /turnleft/ is usually more entertaining.

That's a pretty solid mémé though.

Oh I know, 2016 sorta served as a 'return to form' for CodeMasters with F1 after '15, but I am interested to see what they could do for 2017.

>no dick

Fuck off normie

When will they make a F1 game with some kind of journey mode like they did in Fifa? Imagine a F1 game in wich you could make your own F1 driver, design your helmet, choose any season since 1990 and make tests with shit cars, and based on those tests, you would get offers from different teams, i.e. if you are really slow you would only get offers from Minardi and Arrows and if you are fast, Benetton and Jordan would try to sign you, or even go full Hamilton/Villeneuve mode. You would have to get sponsors, if you are shit you could be sacked midway through the season, etc. You could be in the paddock and get to your car in time,or be Gimi tier and not give a fuck, you could answer interviews, sign autographs, after you are 30 you could become a useless old fuck or retire in full glory... just imagine that. Id pay for something like that.

Ok lads now I know that you all think that Rosberg is a shit driver but the thing Hamilton was most famous for was his qualifying pace. His racecraft was never that good. If Rosberg is actually matching him in qualifying sessions then does that mean that Hamilton was never that good or Nico is pretty underrated? Keep in mind that he isn't being BTFO like Webber, Masssa or Barichello as most people thought he would

Sometimes I wonder who I'd fuck harder: him or Emilia.

Why isn't any of them smiling?

they both realised they'll each retire with 0 (zero) world drivers championships for Ferrari

CM said earlier this year that the FIA are finally starting to ease off on some of their insane restrictions on the license and might be able to do things like driver transfers and whatnot soon.

The journey thing is going to be much harder though, since you need multiple licenses for it. I don't think it'd work out very well either since people would just complain about how they can't get into F1 as soon as they would want because of the "useless" feeder series. Plus, if you want to emulate that sort of rise, you could always just do some headcanon nonsense in AMS.

it's FOM who are so restrictive not the FIA

maybe with Liberty media buying in Codies will have more freedom (get it)

According to Domenicali Massa is considered a champion inside the team though, so for him it probably counts as being enough. He knows he should've won.

There's hardly any difference given how much they feed into one another nowadays. It's going to take many years for that to change, so CM have to hope that they'll get lucky.

nydailynews.com/sports/more-sports/michael-schumacher-lawyer-tells-court-f1-champion-walk-article-1.2800881

Holy Shit Lads.

This is so unrelated, and probably just pure autism on my part, but I had to tell someone.

I was rewatching the 1999 season, and in Italy, Brundle mentioned that they might ask Mika Salo who was in third to fall behind Irvine in 6th, just to give him the one extra world championship point. They didn't do that, because they would have lost a podium and lost the constructors points.

But, had Ferrari done that, in Suzuka, where Irvine finished third behind Schumacher, had they invoked team orders, and gave Irvine second, he actually would have won a world title.

This is utter mental gymnastics on my part, but if Ferrari had done that. They would have still won the Constructors, and they would have picked up their first Drivers title since Scheckter.

Would MSC have given Irvine the place? I mean I don't honestly think he would have had a choice, di Montezemolo forced him into the car for Malaysia.

Wew. I'm going to go to bed now, and dream of world where Nico Rosberg's Mercedes W08 wears the Number 1.

tfw it's been two years since a car bore #1

I alwasy liked Irvine desu senpai

How different would it have been had he won the 99 championship?

>Would MSC have given Irvine the place?
Even if it's 99% confirmed that he really didn't want Irvine to win the championship, yes, he would've probably done so. I'm really surprised they didn't call the order there.

Not very. Rubens would've probably still replaced him, and everyone would've still known him as the guy who could only deliver without Schumacher around while at Ferrari. I'll always appreciate how good of a #2 driver he was, but I'm fairly sure he'd be seen as the worst champion of all time and the year would end up as infamous as 2008.

So this is how they will figure out the facts. Make up things like "Schumacher can talk", if they sue it's not true.

>hamiltons worst nightmare.webm

>he's actually pretty good

I'll never understand why people in here latched onto him. He's not a madman like amx. He was always going to be good.

Will he ever be relevant?

>Rubens would've probably still replaced him
Barrichello to Ferrari was confirmed just after Spa, in August. I remember this from one of my dad's F1 magazines from that year. According to wikipedia, Irvine to Jaguar was confirmed in September.

2015 sucked because "hurr durr let's redo the entire engine in a few months what can possibly go wrong" isn't a good strategy if your customers enjoy games that work.
I'm just hoping this won't be another 2010 situation again and all the following games remove the good career features for more time trial based challenges.

yeah, hamilton's had a few bad weekends which is mostly the reason he's losing again, but it also feels like the other drivers(namely ricciardo and alonso) are doing everything they can to stop him for some reason

maybe hamilton's an annoying douchebag and said some things that pissed them off, i don't know

i just really don't want to see rosberg walk away with a championship because he's a shit driver and a smug cunt

hopefully lewis can get back on top of his game before it's too late. there's only 6 races left and it's not like rosberg will bow down and concede defeat. hamilton will need to driver harder than ever to take this championship

also, fuck these terrible races where rosberg gets ahead on the first lap and stays there the entire race. that's the worst possible way to win. it's like 2013 VWL all over again

He's perfect except for one thing. Why is he such a beta at driving?

he can qualify but he can't race

His F1 career is really just a promo stunt for his modeling career

If he can't race why did he made it all the way to F1 and won gps

he made it into F1 because his family is rich and his dad is a champion

he wins GPs by getting ahead on the first lap and staying ahead the entire race

So if you can't race money is enough?
Then Elon Musk or Bill Gates are able to win races?

yes desu

elon or musk could have kids in F1 if they felt like funding their careers

elon or bill*

Tbh his racecraft has gone downhill ever since the switch to Pirelli.

2011 was the first poor year he had, and it was really bad. Since then he's been progressively improving but he's not back to pre-2011 levels of racecraft.

I think there may be something in the grip profile of the Pirellis that doesn't work very well with his 'late braking and dive' overtake style.

To race, money is definitely enough: pay some team to get you through the ranks, earn a superlicense, then pay a seat for some backmarker. If you have some talent you can aim at a strapped for cash mid field team.

Winning races take a bit more talent, but that can be helped by playing the Pirelli roulette or having an OP car.

That's plausible, and probably so frustrating for lewisha if he can't bitch about Pirelli in public yet knows it's the reason he's not as good as before.

are you seriously implying RIC should have let Lewis through? they were racing each other, dipshit, and if Hamilton was faster, he would overtake.

at least alonso gets to cuddle WDC trophies while kvyat only cuddles cheap russian whores with a wide range of STDs

i definitely think ricky was slowing down and blocking hamilton as best he could to give rosberg an insurmountable lead

the mercs don't do well in dirty air

I think I liked Irvine because he didn't blame anyone, and in his Legends of F1 video, he told it pretty straight. Also hearing him attempt to speak Italian was pretty funny.

I think had that happened, it would have been the most meme tier WDC ever.

m8, that's literally Alonso's taste in girlfriends

He is rather pretty isn't he?

>I think I liked Irvine because he didn't blame anyone

I don't like Irvine because he does the same thing Webber has started doing post-career: saying how amazing his teammate was as an excuse for their own shit results.

what fall from grace? everyone still thinks Alonso is one of the best ever, a potential champ given a good car and just a handful of points away from a 4x WDC, and they place his current troubles at the feet of McLaren-Honda (which has improved greatly this year, so much so that it's not so improbable they will be competitive next year)

>missing the point
the majority opinion is that Alonso is still great, at the very least one of the best drivers on the current grid. there is absolutely no "fall from grace" in his career, and most have pretty much forgotten about the spying and Crashgate.

maybe you don't understand what "fall from grace" means. it wouldn't just be going from winning races to not winning races.

Mercedes has no competition whatsoever.

If Hamilton can't beat ROSBERG to the fucking title this year then he obviously doesn't deserve it. He's beaten Rosberg twice, it should be a piece of cake now. He doesn't have an excuse. Even if he was 100 points behind, he doesn't have an excuse. Nico has also had a fair share of bad luck and Lewis is much too supposedly highly rated driver to be having moments like

inb4 Jaguar will challenge Renault.

Nothing sells electric car technology like drivers driving to a percentage for the entire race and changing cars halfway through because the batteries aren't capable of storing enough energy lmao

Alonso is unironically still the best driver on the grid. If he was in the Mercedes he would smash Hamilton or Rosberg. It wouldn't even be close desu.

Debatable. Watch his GP2 races and you'll get a pretty good impression of what he was like.

He was a real racer, definitely not a babby and had great car control and ability to overtake. Didn't really demonstrate the sort of dominant finesse that e.g. Vandoorne did, or Gasly is doing in occasional races this year.

Ferrari seemed to believe in him, but who knows if he would have actually made it all the way to Ferrari. I think he would have gone to Haas or something to wait.

I don't know if Jules being alive would have an effect on Kimi being rehired or not. Of course Ferrari are going to speak highly of Jules after he died and it's not like they're gonna say "lol he was in our junior programme but isnt that marketable so we were just planning to dick him around in sauber or haas as a contingency plan if gimi underperforms lol"

Massa was 1 point away from becoming a WDC

youtu.be/FjZF3vI46Vs?t=73

that's not how you use an e.g. binland

points spread was shorter back then though, so the championship leader had an easier time of protecting his advantage

Senna was literally a Maldonado-tier driver who understood before entering F1 that he wasn't perfect and actually spent time practicing and improving himself.

Basically drove in F1 like Maldonado except didn't crash all the time. Still very reckless and over the top. Prost drove with much more finesse and consistency and who knows what Senna's reputation would be like if he hadn't died (and gotten beaten by Schumi 2 times in a row and then probably never winning another title)

>>Prost overtakes Senna

Actually, come to think of it, he didn't.
>Senna upped his boost and fuel so Prost couldn't get past.
Same outcome though.

Did Prost really overtake Senna at any point after the first lap? Also, why would Senna rush the overtake that badly? It was only 2 laps to go, and he had a 5 second lead.

>Did Prost really overtake Senna at any point after the first lap?

Nah, I derped
>Also, why would Senna rush the overtake that badly? It was only 2 laps to go, and he had a 5 second lead.

Because the Ferrari's we catching him insanely quickly.

The 80's turbo era had no refueling, so a huge part of the race was fuel management.
Senna used so much fuel taking Prost's b8 early in the race, that he needed to turn the car down to Prius to make the flag, and couldn't afford to lose even a second on a backmarker.

Yeah, like when he smashed rookie hamilton in '07

Most good drivers have an off year after their initial success. Hamilton was terrible in 2011, Vettel was shit in 2014, Häkkinen was so bad in 2001 he retired. Schumacher lost to Shinji Nakano in 1997 standings.

He was an absolute GOAT in all ways. Anybody got the Prost movie poster i made some months ago as a mock up of the senna movie?

Both JJ Lehto and Mika Salo are complete memes

JJ Lehto killed his friend in a boating accident when driving the boat shitfaced and that's pretty much the most he's been in the public eye since his F1 "career"

Mika Salo is just a bitter dude who still does commentary for F1 even though he clearly fucking hates it and I'm pretty sure he does it just so he can give constant insider analysis why Kimi is shit and performing shittily

At least Keke pretty much brought Mika Häkkinen into F1 so credit due there, but what the fuck was he thinking backing JJ Lehto? Dude was complete shit

Senna was the fastest driver on the track most of the time, whereas Maldonado, on top of crashing almost every weekend, was also slow af and got beaten by every teammate, in races and qualifying, except for in one season (against Senna, but Bruno).

I'm trying to figure out why Renault's driver situation is so fucked for next year. Why do midfield drivers not jump at the opportunity?

I assume, since Kmag and Perez were gonna make announcements in Singapore, that talks broke down and now they're scrambling. I mean they're apparently in talks with fucking Ericsson.

Bottas, gonna get a billionare carbabby as team mate who you BTFO. Hamilton or WDCberg leaves Mercedes for 2018, hope Wehrlein is shit so you get the call.

Perez is now rumoured to be replacing Gimi in 2018, apparently Ferrari likes signing drivers way in advance?

apparently Renault have a hiring problem and can't tempt engineers into the team, leading to a vicious cycle of the car being shit because not enough manpower and not enough manpower because the car's shit

i don't really think there's merit to those rumours though, but it'll be a long grind to get renault from backmarkers to frontrunners

>Why do midfield drivers not jump at the opportunity?
maybe they feel Renault will continue to be among Manor and Sauber at the back next year for some reason, plus sponsors and agents fucking around with their careers, though getting a seat with a well-funded works team that has nowhere to go but up seems like a great idea 2bh

at this point, Bottas & KMag seems like the best options at this point (provided Perez is indeed unavailable). and w/r/t Ocon, hard to say. i know it's only been three races and he has a ton of potential, but he hasn't really shown much so far; not doing any better than Rio at most, probably worse as Rio could at least challenge Wehrlein in quali.

>mental gymnastics because you can't admit an Australian wasn't very good

it will be KMag and Ocon. Bottas will stay at Williams and BTFO of Stroll, and they'll be keen to gamble on Ocon's potential early and maybe tie him down before Merc comes calling

>next TO FUCKING MALAYSIA
>need 1 week break
wtf?

Its probably not as fucked as it appears. F1 media has had a boring silly season and there's nothing to talk about so they focus on Renault (and Williams to an extent)

I don't think they're really scrambling. If they want to play it safe, they have KMag. They could also bring in Buemi who is actually quite adaptable and a good racer and a Renault driver already. Not too old either.

The thing is that they're not as attractive as they thought they were, both personnel and driver wise so they will likely be looking at sub/equal to Force India performance for the next few years

Bottas likes to be loyal and the Renault move is still a gamble. I mean if he stays at Williams and utterly destroys (a highly rated) Stroll, then it will make him look a lot better than beating a retiring Massa. But if he gets beaten at all by Stroll (who will likely get preferential treatment) it will be his career over.

Reminder that there have not been any manlet champions, except maybe for Alonso.

The fact of the matter is that it's a F1 team with two potential seats open. They will be filled by someone sooner than later.

I can't imagine KMag has serious offers from anywhere else. He's clearly the better driver of the current lineup, so keep him and bring in someone new. If/when the car gets better, more people and drivers will want to join

It's not attractive to join a backmarker based on promises of greatness, but it is considerably more logical to join a midfield team who went from backmarker to midfield and is now seeking to be upper midfield.

Or did Renault think Hamilton and Alonso would just line up and wait for their offer?

what a fucking terrible list of "champions"

Webber is good if he needs to drive the same time every lap, but generally that's not a fast time, it's just ok. But he doesn't bin the car when doing it. When he pushes above that he makes more mistakes, so he's a perfect number 2 driver. He held the field back so Vettel can run a 40 second gap in front, and never really challenged Vettel because he never caught up.

Hence he does way better in LMP where they can drop Hartley in if they need fast.

Webber was shit tier the moment they switched to Pirellis - he was winning in 2010 before his shoulder injury.

Adaptability is a mark of a true great, and he was just good.

>graham hill
>mansell

>not good

I think we can all agree that the modern Pirelli era has been pretty shit, but I don't understand how this can be used as a real excuse with drivers. Even le unadaptable carbabby Gimi showed up in 2012 after a few years of fucking around in rally and he was on top of the tires in a matter of a few races, and by 2013 he was arguably the best tire conserver on the grid. Alonso adapted without many problems and his mid-2000's driving style would destroy the Pirellis in a lap.

Pretty sure Webber was just shit and the Pirellis further exposed that, especially when directly compared to a quick 1 lap young dude carbabby who finally gained some confidence and consistency by 2010

>Mansell
>not an utter carchild
>le golf dude

>our guy Hamilton

Stopped reading

>2011

Pick one.

You think Gimi was on top of tyres in 2012?

That car deserved better results than it got.

Webber would have been bigger / stronger than Vettel and was quicker in the fast stuff, which meme-tier 2011 onwards tyres couldn't hack. Plus cicruits introduced with shitloads of 2nd and 3rd gear corners...

Cruising around to manage rubber when you were giving away a couple of tenths from weight / ballast deficit wouldn't have played to his strengths.

Plus meme tier RBR management wouldn't have let him beat Seb over a season anyway.

For the most part yes, considering that its Kimi and considering he had been gone from F1 for a few years. The Lotus was probably the third or fourth best car on the grid that year. Red Bull was the best, Ferrari was developed into something semi-decent, McLaren was clearly better than Lotus, just incredibly unreliable.

He did end up finishing 3rd in the championship whereas e.g. Webber in the WDC and WCC winning Red Bull finished SIXTH

I don't remember every single race specifically so I'm sure there are some blunders, but I think Kimi's 3rd in WDC proves that the Pirelli tires aren't/weren't a huge issue with even him, therefore not a valid excuse for a driver's drop in quality

You're right I forgot to mention his ridiculous starts.

>think we can all agree that the modern Pirelli era has been pretty shit, but I don't understand how this can be used as a real excuse with drivers.

I'm not saying it's an excuse though, adaptability is one of the key skills you need in F1, and Webber simply lacked it. That's why I would argue Alonso is a true great, and Kimi probably could have been up there too if he'd had a bit more perseverance and luck.

Webber was borderline persona non grata at RBR from 2011 with the way Marko big-upped Seb. But where else was he gonna go under contract and getting Newey-tier car?

Webber's potential was around Nurburgring 2009, Spain 2010, Monaco 2010 level (especially if you watch the last two with the knowledge Seb's "cracked chassis" was and is a load of shit)

hahahahahah lewey hamilsplit is in full meltdown mode hahahahahah haas wins again

>Ridiculous starts

You mean the type that Amd Amx is having lately, for which they'll leave no stone unturned.

With Webber it was pretty obvious they didn't care, otherwise they would have fixed it.

Agree, he was stuck in a lose-lose situation where he knew he had the best car, but a shit level of team support. But if he was a GOAT he would have adapted to the tyres and wrekt a confirmed carbabby, whereas he was just good/sometimes great pre-2011, and defeated after that.

Wasn't Webber better at Monaco then Vettel?

He was largely consistent across the season, but there was a few races that Grosjean had him but ended up out through no fault.

Brazil for Kimi was absolute meme-tier!!

Webber had him 2009, smashed him 2010, 2012.

Vettel was in front 2011, and beat him 2013 when Mark's strategy was compromised.

Also that is a race where weight and underpowered cars don't matter so much as focus, strength and bravery

BMW to Le Mans in 2018!
Unfortunately not in LMP1 but in GT..

Fuck you for getting me excited.

Sorry, had the same feeling when I heard about it.

Exactly, just like Vettel. Both came up through the Marko School of Carbabby.

Actually m8, Hartley is/was Webber's protege

proposed rule changes for 2017 & 2018.

>Tyres of the same specification may be mixed in the race
When did they ban this? I remember Alonso didn't change his rears in China 2006.

I wonder if it's aimed at the "boohoo I flat spotted by tyre during qualy I need to swap it pls FIA" bullshit.

>drivers given official permission to change helmet livery design for one event per season

but the drivers are already changing their helmet designs for different races? or are they just paying the fine every time and not giving a fuck?

post dank memes

>Formula 1

why is f1 so shit

>new engine rules to prevent stockpiling
about time! I found it really strange that it wasn't in the rules already, and knowing so, even stranger nobody ever stockpiled before HAM at Spa.

>new procedure for standing start in the wet after first laps behind safety car
So instead of releasing the field, they will now have to line up on the grid again and start like it was the first lap of the race?
They should just let them race in the wet, not letting them lap behind the SC untill the track is dry. This is not turnleft, the track shouldn't be dry!

>the track shouldn't be dry!
I think the wets are designed for drying the track and not for going fast, and that's half of the reason why they run laps with them on. Which is silly, but they'll need to re-design them entirely, which then affects the other tyres. The tyre specifications are probably to blame for it.

That might be part of the reason, but the real reason is that they don't want ANY sort of aquaplaning because they are taking all the measures possible to avoid another Bianchi.

FIA doesn't want the bad PR, the inevitable lawsuits, the critique, and they don't want to look incompetent (which they do anyway).

Pretty sure the reason behind this rule change is that it enables the cars to drive around enough to dry the track (or the racing line) so it's not blatantly "dangerous" anymore, and to shut down the average pleb complaints about not having a proper start. In a way it is smart, but it is also extremely disappointing, however, in the current culture of safety 2 da max, it might be the best the fans can actually hope for unless FIA gets thoroughly reorganized (it won't).

>Likely they'll overprice it
But that's not even allowed in the new regs next year

I don't know why journalists aren't more vocal about this ridiculous situation towards the FIA/Bernie/Charlie. Most of them agree with the fans that they should just race in the rain, and that it's stupid to run the race behind the SC when it rains. The complain about it during commentary, but when they get the chance, they don't ask the people responsible or the teams and drivers about it.
This no rain racing, together with tarmac run offs everywhere is what annoys/angers me the most about current F1. It just makes it terribly boring and unexciting to watch. And that's even not including MWL, fuel saving,...... (which are things that can't be fixed so easily as just not being pussies)

>p-please big muscular Germangods give me a (You) I tried to insult four time world champion, holder of a ton of records, first and only GP winner for Toro Rosso, VetGOAT, hehe aren't you gonna do something about it ??? C-Cuck-ks!

that was mitch evans.

the helmet change rules should be binned.

fia/fom is looking the other way. drivers are unofficially allowed multiple single event liveries, e.g. monaco, singapore, home GPs.

changes obscured by the head protection appears to be allowed.

>79 HAM's

the Kek curse on this thread to keep hamiltong rising is still going strong

>changes obscured by the head protection appears to be allowed.
from 2018 onward there will be a Y-shaped regulation free livery zone on the front of the helmet

True. I guess small circles, don't really want to piss off the FIA etc. I assume the FIA could make things quite difficult for specific journalists should they really want to do so. I can't think of that many journalists who openly criticize the FIA/Bernie/general leadership.

All of what you mentioned also makes this literally the most predictable era of F1 ever, which just makes the Merc dominance worse. Tracks are safe, huge runoffs, mistake costs you 2 seconds of laptime instead of a DNF, everyone drives at like 75% intensity so mistakes are much easier to avoid, everyone drives with the primary intention of conserving tires and the machinery, meaning techical failures occur very rarely (how many engine blowouts have we had this season? Very few comparative to e.g. 2012). Due to the tires and fuel saving, drivers can't even battle extensively anyway so very few incidents occur from race scenarios either. All of this adds up to the most predictable grids and results ever, with almost no surprises or variation because mistakes/failures don't happen and if they do, they mean nothing. Combine this with Mercedes performance advantage and we get 3 years of Mercedes winning almost every single race. On true pace alone, in the hybrid era Mercedes would not have won only like 2 or 3 races. ALL of Ricciardos 2014 wins were due to Merc issues. Vettel in Malaysia was basically just a superior strategy and luck, Max in Spain 2016 was only because yeah...

fuck f1, i am leaning closer and closer to not caring anymore. I have barely even paid attention to anything after Singapore and I'm looking forward to GP2 this weekend at least 10x more than the inevitable F1 borefest.

>i am leaning closer and closer to not caring anymore
Not that extreme, but I kinda feel the same. I've always been the biggest F1 fan, but this season I've noticed I care less and less when watching. Most times I'm doing something else while F1 is on in the background. Sad it has come to this.
Last two seasons I didn't feel like this yet. Maybe it's because I'm starting to realize things won't be getting better again, more likely even worse..

Except they did

Fun fact: the Formula One WDCs possess a total amount of 63 pectoral muscles

Fix F1 as much as possible by introducing a maximum of two (2) rules
>refueling

>>no grid boys

I'm sorry your dick moved by itself, user.

>old Le Mans-style starts
>no regs regarding the car or engine, except for safety concerns, with unlimited in-season parts and development, but teams are limited by how much they can spend (with a separate budget cap for the off-season)

>caltrops instead of DRS
>figure 8 tracks

>spending caps

this kills the F1

Joke is on you. I employ the boner hiding apparatus

is that a fancy name for cock cage?

This. If F1 keeps continuing this retarded formula, shitty tires, safety babby regulations, and killing current tracks/adding stupid ones on the calendar, I feel it will eventually die out. Have been watching for most of my life, but honestly I barely look forward to race weekends nowadays.

There's a whole world out there you can still discover

Yeah I'm thinking the same fucking thing. Apparently September release is off while they add a couple of features and tidy some stuff up - have a look on its Steam Community hub page

Petronas pay FIA $$$$ for stupid scheduling

Who'll die first? Bernie or Murray?

Schumi > Murray > Max (from old age) > Bernie

This

It will be interesting to see what happens if Chase runs Bernie out of F1 quickly.

A lot of old people tend to not last very long when they lose their job/hobby/passion.
They literally have nothing left to live for, and it pushes them in to a death spiral.

(With Murray, I think no longer having a job was balanced out by not having travel the world anymore, so it didn't affect him as much)

I can't believe how varied the choices are. When I heard about the rules i thought "big deal, the teams will just figure out the optimal tires and they will all be the same". I didn't expect this.

...

this has surprised me too. Before the season started I expected everybody to do the same and some of the smaller teams to make an alternative choice at a couple of races.

If the tyre reg's where the same next year most teams would probably all be the same or similar when they learn the tyres.

>refueling
Holy shit this is overrated - all overtakes were just about pitting, even worse than the current era.

>Scrap DRS
>Scrap run off and tilke dromes.

The I actually like most of the rest of the formula.

>no toothpaste
>no Mercedes

hahahahah east coast burger.

>the david crofty of his time

trips confirm. The retard meme is i'll fix F1 by re-instating things from the past. I am sure he's a millennial who has never seen a race with refueling.

I think DRS is ok they just need to move away from the DRS zone being a fucking giant straight.

What about if they divided the huge straights into two (or three in Baku's case) DRS zones?

Something not so easy for Mercs to simply drive around mid field cars. The DRS has magnified their advantage.

That's why I like KERS (or ERS, whatever). Gives strategic but limited boost, whereas DRS just gives a flat, often OP advantage.

Defensive driving is dying - everyone bitches about Verstappen being a bit dirty to Kimi in Spa, but how the hell else can you defend from that level of advantage? Even if you change the way it's used DRS is still too much of a blunt instrument.

Peres is dead

why can't they just use DRS whenever the hell they want?
Why can't they have front wing DRS too and have driver controlled fully manipulated full body dynamic-aerodynamics?
It would open up a whole new form of driver skill for drivers to master and set each other apart

Put DRS zones in fast corners for mad drifts and crashes

>Secondberg can't even beat a lady journalist at something

What a gentleman.

He definitely is, gifting 2 (two) WDCs is something only the most gentlemen would do.

Umm, why no replies? I want kubica!

>that nigger stole his watches again

Because the reality is likely still the same. In the respect that his hand still has limited movement to drive an F1 car in the current cockpit size. Just be glad he didn't die fæm.

Too bad his hand is fucked permanently and doesnt have the requried flexibility or ability to rotate to actually turn the wheel of an F1 car full lock

so yea its unlikely he'd come back although it would be 2000% based if he did. A Magnussen/Kubica pairing wouldn't be too bad.

Although if Renault wanted to bring in their own drivers, there are some others who are much more appropriate in the sense that they have been doing more relevant things more recently, like Buemi who has been doing WEC and F1
