What are we most worried about going into the 'offs and why is the John Lackey and Jake Arrieta?

You're worried about Arrieta? He's slowly been collecting himself, I don't think he will be much of a problem.
Lackey, on the other hand, will probably give up 4-5 runs every game he pitches.

Lackey's whip is lower than Arrieta's

It's just the inconsistency from Arrieta in the 2nd half of the season.

By .008, and Lackey's FIP is nearly .40 points higher than Arrieta's.
Regardless, Lackey will maintain his 3.39 ERA, I think.

Lackey has been pitching okay. He should have 4-5 more wins, but he's been victimized by poor run support and poor bullpen performance a few times.

Lackey's era has been dropping since mid July.

He's a 4 starter, and for that spot his numbers are pretty damn good. As mentioned his whip is lower than Arrieta's.

Plus he has a ton of postseason experience, for whatever that's worth.

Arrietta has had, by his recent standards, a mediocre second half. He has last the ability to paint the corners with his fastball, and because of that he's walking a lot more guys and throwing a lot more pitches earlier in a game.

Except for his last start. That was a gem.

There is also Lester & Hendricks, so things are looking pretty good.

Oh no, I think he'll be fine, I just don't trust him as much as Lester, Hendricks, or Arrieta.

Arrieta has walked less guys his last couple of starts so I'm taking that as a good sign, given that was his major problem in the second half.

At least the steelers are good
