The second night of double-in double-out action from Dublin features the top half of the World Grand Prix draw and after James Wade and Robeert Thornton were sent crashing out of the contest, there's certainly some chance of a few more seeds falling out of the competition.
The first chance of this happening is in the fourth game of the evening as the still-stroppy immature shitbag Michael Smith plays steadily improving good guy Alan Norris; after Lard Lad bombed out disastrously in the Champions League of Darts with his usual terrible TV display, it's another case of absolutely nobody wanting him to go through. The other lesser chance is in the penultimate fixture as world number 1 Michael van Gerwen will hope to put his raping by Philth behind him by castrating sex machine Steve Beaton and hoping the 1996 World Champion doesn't repeat his Blackpool heroics.
The other two seeds have fairly simple matchups as Phil Taylor plays repeated BDO Lakeside failure Steve West and in the last match, perfectly scheduled by Sky so you can go to bed at a decent time, you will want to miss the inevitably dreary affair between Peter Wright and Brendan Dolan. This event remains the only time the recently married Ulsterman has ever been relevant in darts after hitting the first double-in niner five years ago.
Coverage from the Citywest Hotel begins at 19:00 UK time on Sky Sports 1.

Grayson Robinson
They are out of power.
Ryan Collins
Not in the first round.
>mensur starting on D14 as usual [memes intensify]
Andrew Harris
Would starting on D14 make a big difference against a D20 guy? I know it's just 12 points, but it seems like it could matter in some legs.
Josiah Lewis
No difference.
Adrian Butler
>Gurney wearing blue Republicans will be waiting for him outside
Nolan Harris
>Mensur
Brandon Gray
...
Noah Edwards
So tired. Not gonna make it
Samuel Walker
You sure with that? It might not be a difference when you hit all T20 the rest of the leg, but if you don't, those 12 points might come back to bite you.
Samuel Sanchez
Unlikely. D14 is a higher percentage shot than D20 because direction is more consistant than range (vertical treble vs horizontal treble)
Gavin Walker
Double i mean not treble
Cameron Myers
>yfw Sky intentionally cut the power earlier so early nighters don't have to suffer through Clownman/Dolel
Gurney pulling that dart into single 1 when wanting big 18 has completely thrown him.

Yes but he's already almost 2 legs behind when I'm typing this. Bully is bullying the lower ranked players again. Chuck is literally chucking his darts all over the place.
At least this match won't take an hour.
Mason Jenkins
Why is noone based enough to start on the bull
Andrew Jenkins
DAT CHUCK 101
BLUBBY ABOUT TO CRY
Hudson Nguyen
That was a good tops tops.
For all the retarded tantrum Blubby has, he's really fucking good at three dart finishes.
Never seems to miss them.
Leo Lee
Some do when they miss the first 15 darts or something. And then everyone gets angry and talks about
>muh respect brah you have no respect brah
Jace Edwards
He won a tournament finishing 120 on 20 bull bull. Hes got talent.
Nolan Reyes
Was that a /180/ sign in the crowd??????????
Evan Johnson
His talent has never been doubted. It's his mentality and mindset that will always be criticised until he gets it sorted.
It's sad to watch.
Camden Baker
>look it's a game that's gonna go all the way
You better be sure to win this Chuck I swear to God.
Robert Gomez
No. Some people dressed as jockeys with a sign that said "HOT TO TROT 180/1"
Christian Nguyen
Fug. I guess i wanted it to be.
Alexander Brooks
>It's his mentality and mindset that will always be criticised until he gets it sorted Not to forget his annoying behaviour on stage with his constant "I should play soo much better than this"-look on his face after every second dart.
Samuel Clark

Aaron Peterson
Didn't unterstand the whole tournament calendar anyway. I think there was some minor tournament on saturday. They should have moved that somewhere else and start the WGP on friday or at least on saturday, so they could easily play maybe 4 games best of 5 each day.
Also: >Blubby out Well done Chuck. Staying awake paid off.
Jace Phillips
>BLUBBY GET FUCKED
BASED CHUCK NORRIS
Adam Lopez
stream?
I still can't believe darts isn't bigger in NA but fucking power's always on "sports" channels...
I'm a casual but I've followed Phil "in ur mum" Taylor for my whole life innit

>still going on while the match has started fucking sky
Nathan King
>106 break against the throw #prayforbeaton
Mason Lopez
GOATism gonna finish this in under 10 minutes.
Joshua Hill
Tonights coverage has been a fucking embarassment. BBCs first attempt at pdc was way better.
Landon Morris
>THAT 135 TO BREAK BACK I JUST CAME
Michael Martin
DAT 135
Ayden Ortiz
>sky go is 30 seconds behind Thanks for the spoiler m8
Mason Adams
It's a good day for Steve's.
Jack Wright
Stoke on trent is now west from Dublin.
Joseph Garcia
Pray for Beaton as he will be steamrolled by autism now.
Come on, Sex God.
Hunter Torres
>that look on MVG's face R.I.P. Beaton
Elijah Martin
No RMT strikes on the Autism Express.
Brayden King
Highest average of the tournament so far at 97.39, which is probably 107 in normal start darts.
So back to the norm then.
Grayson Miller
The top half of the draw:
>MVG/Wilson/Norris/Whitlock v Wright/Dolan/Chisnall/Gurney/West
That's fucking Jobber Central.
Brayden Mitchell
And that D16 ends a gruelling night of action that saw all eight games go the distance.
It was game number 6 on the night that saw the biggest shock of the tournament as Steve West, whose previous PDC best was the last 16 of the UK Open three years ago, came back from a terrible first set where he nearly got whitewashed in a leg to knock out the Power (for the second time in the night owing to a massive electrical outage that pushed everything back by half an hour). Taylor showed precisely none of the crucial finishing he displayed in the non-ranking Champions League of Darts and was punished by the less successful Scumbag Brother, who was with the Philth once he got the starting double in and had a stunning 70% checkout rate compared with the Stokie's 25%. After two successive first round exits to jobbers, it is now proof that he is finished as a ranking player.
Two other seeds exited the tournament as Peter Wright's woeful Dublin record continued at the hands of Brendan Dolan, who even averaged 90 to 99 in the double start format, and was completely outclassed by his lower-ranked opponent at every stage; Michael Smith meanwhile had a match of polar quality with Alan Norris that was either amazing (Chuck's 101, 156 and 136 finishes and Blubby's 100 on double tops) or downright terrible and the tantrum thrower flew out of the tournament after that DT20-D8 from the ex-Lakeside finalist. And good for it as well.
Elsewhere, MVG came back from a wonderful 135 out by Beaton to run six straight legs and go through with a 97 average, Chizzy used the previously mentioned outage to knock out Robbie Green and there were also wins for Daryl Gurney, Simon Whitlock and James Wilson. This was a far inferior night to Sunday, possibly due to the outage throwing everyone off.
We return at 7:00pm today for the start of round 2:
>Terry Jenkins v Benito van de Pas >Stephen Bunting v Kim Huybrechts >Gary Anderson v Kyle Anderson >Adrian Lewis v Raymond van Barneveld
