I had 4 core android phone in 2012

I have bluetooth headphones on my android phone. If they run out of battery I can plug them into my phone. I can charge my phone while headphones are plugged in.

But you could lose your headphones, theres no difference here. If you make the point of saying you would't lose your headphones then theres no reason to worry about the adapter since they would probably be in the same spot.
