Yes. People who have goals of moving past YouTube can get there. A lot don't know how to be a good actor or how to write a good show. Heard pewdiepie was having meetings with production studios. You think that nigga has a good show idea?

So anyone with a huge following has a chance?

what the fuck did I just watch

Ideally you'd have a huge following and talent, but you can still make it just by having a huge following

If someones shitty youtube content has a following of 2 million+ people, you can bet your ass a tv show or network is going to want and try to get there jewish fingers on them viewers.

So yeah, i think its safe to say the more subscribers you have, the better chance you have.

>Donald Glover, Sam Hyde....Who else?

Nathan Fielder

bieber was discovered on youtube wasnt he?

Jack

Grace Helbig has a tv show and Hannah Hart shows up on it all the time. They also have 3 movies out.

That guy from snl

that cringe queen is a little sam hydeish

Honestly, if you're successful you shouldn't move to television. It's a dying business and you'll ultimately be more successful and have better fans from being online instead.

I think sometimes people think getting on tv somehow makes them more legitimate.

Soon it will be more illegitimate

She's going to become popular I feel like

You need to do more than Youtube now. People who are making it are usually involved with a big content making company and are very active on Vine, Instagram and Twitter. You basically need your own brand and hundreds of thousands of followers.

What if someone with talent but small amount of followers was seen my casting agent or something?

dudes from workaholics had a channel called Mail Order Comedy.

please just fucking kill me

What's wrong, friend?

I think tv is dead anyway. They are better off where they are.

Maybe but they care more about followers.

Brehs

ITT delusional people born after January 1st, 2000.

WKUK started online as well. If you're funny enough, someone somewhere will fund your shit

Well yeah. In LA, comics are desperate to get "credits" for anything. It only helps to have a resume.

That's mainly reserved for people with connections. Otherwise numbers will dominate any pitch with studio heads.

I'm fucking tired of transplants coming to LA thinking they're gonna get discovered only because their YouTube channel with 2k subscribers has "quality" content. Newsbreak, every fucker with a YouTube channel thinks the same as you. Just get numbers because numbers means results.

Yeah I guess that is true.

How many subscribers are necessary for someone to get taken seriously to talk to tv scouts?

The guy who made the Shoes video ended up with a TV show. He is no longer on TV or even the internet. The guy just faded away.

Name of show?

Wasn't there some record number of people ditching cable because there's nothing fucking on TV anymore that happened last year and this year?

Broad City actually was originally a youtube show.

What is the worst board on Cred Forums and why is it Cred Forums?

You people are so fucking paranoid it's not even funny

This show ain't bad for female comedy desu.

>nigahiga
I've been following that guy ever since he uploaded that "How to be gangsta" video

God I feel so old.

that show is borderline fappable sometimes but it never goes far enough and it makes me sad

I never understand why people fap to normal tv. Maybe the challenge?

for me it's usually a starter, or dare I say it, a trigger

See something arousing on tv or whatever, start fapping a bit, eventually go to my good porno

for this show it can be really easy

Not a scout so I can't honestly say. But most "successful" YouTube actors tend to have a devout following and are good looking. Having a large of subscribers is just one factor, not the sole determining factor.

How about for someone to become a tv actor not just a host or reality tv show star though?
