I agree. Not into anime much but that film is 10/10 for me.
it is. Satoshi Kon was kino, Aronofsky is film at best
She's probably right honestly. So is Neon Demon and Opening Night. Black Swan is *ok*
Can you speak english or kindly fuck off please?
She's right. You have to suck her dick now.
She's right.
Also learn to speak english you tard.
Tell her to check out Lynch and the colors of pomegranate instead
i think thats what you're asking i don't get it
perfect blue>godfathers>millenium>paprika
Dogshit>anything you've listed
Do critics rate Dogshit highly?
post spooky
>the city of op
dropped it 20 minutes in
actual chills every time he was on screen
But the good version of Black Swan is not Perfect Blue. It's The Red Shoes.
The only worthwhile discussion on the male gaze I've ever seen.
here's a lol
she's right
I thought he was the worst part of the movie. And his voice was so god awful.
He should have looked more "normal" if unkempt.
HAHAHAHAH holy fuck just imagine the set-up and preperation for this picture
It is. And as several people have already said, your post is a cringey mess.
Satoshi Kon was the only anime creator that could make anime that is significantly better than most movies. Like I don't know if I would consider anything he's made a 10/10, but none I've seen (and I admittedly haven't seen all of his work) has been below a 6 or 7.
Paranoia Agent was my favorite. Fuck what everyone else says.
Aronofsky is a bland pseduo-intellectual who never grew out of his film-school phase. He was my favorite director in high school but as I grew older, it became pretty apparent how shallow his films were.
>and as several people have already said
>only one to say it
lmao loser
Some of Oshii's are easily on a par with Kon's, especially Patlabor 2.
You could very well be right, actually.
I've somehow managed to avoid seeing anything made by him, including GitS. Gotta watch some stuff.
Cred Forums incarnate
Oshii doesn't know how to integrate his political messages into the story. It often feels like the characters are talking directly to the audience.
That scene with the millitary hanging around Tokyo is really fucking great though.
I think Ryosuke Takahashi is a very underrated director. He does a lot of great stuff within the confines of a tv anime.
Your friend is correct. Perfect Blue is a great film.
No Miyazaki or Anno?
She's right, ya dingus
>No Miyazaki or Anno?
EhhhHHhhHhhh
Anno created Evangelion. And NGE is up there with some of the best. But he's basically created nothing else worth shit.
I guess I forgot about Miyazaki somehow, but I never really felt like his movies were as good as people said. Like the animation and worlds and art were consistently beautiful and amazing, but the writing was always kinda eh
Shes a tasteless pleb
Don't worry about it lad
She's right and it completely ripped off Black Swan harder then The Lion King ripped off Kimba the White Lion
It came out before Black Swan
Perfect Blue came out 13 years prior to Black Swan.
This better be fucking bait
everyone knows that Black Swan is a complete rip off of Perfect Blue
Of course a person that doesn't like Satoshi Kons Masterpieces is a vulgar idiot
Perfect Blue>Paprika>Tokyo GodFathers>Millenium Actress
princess mononoke is the best aunt minay
Paranoia Agent>>>>>>>>Perfect Blue>>Millenium actress=Tokyo Godfathers>Paprika
Paprika was pretty shit, really. It looked nice, though
>Masterpieces
Adorable child of IMDB
I don't even use stupid shit like that you idiot
Plebeian
> Cutie Honey (2004 live-action) is comfy.
> Gunbuster and His & Her Circumstances are great.
> Shin Godzilla is supposedly a masterpiece.
Satoshi always had good ideas but a terrible meandering execution of them. This is less true of Perfect Blue as much as it is for his other films and series. Still I can imagine the concept being done better. (Irony here)
Black Swan touches on the same ideas but doesn't really go as wild or as deep as it might have. I don't think it's as similar as people say, but also not as good as people think either.
Sunset Blvd. touched on the same ideas long before either of these films and did it better.
i watched this shit once a while ago, but wasn't really paying attention. Is it worth re-watching?
more like perfect SNOOZE
Satoshi Kon always makes the most rewatchable films. I swear i've seen Tokyo Godfathers like 15 times already.
Great taste.
What are some must see anime?
Boku no Pico
Legend of the Blue Wolves
Garzey's Wing
Films, series, or what?
Films, sorry.
