I can tell by the font that it sucks

I can tell you're under the age of 25.

1987fag here

I can't even imagine what it was like for my parents' generation, constantly wondering if they going to get nuked at any moment

Realistically, battleships would be hit first. It wouldn't just start with cities being blown up.

Watch the War Game as well, OP, same topic and better I think.

Directed by the director of The Bodyguard. WTF?

Yeah, the War Game is actually much more depressing imho

this was the American trash version

...

>We have one chance to hit them with a nuke without them knowing it's coming until it's too late, should we hit their capital city?
>Nah mate hitbthat battleship in the middle of the atlantic

I can tell from your post that you're wrong.

nice response left-tennent

Except that's how it does start in this - if you listen to the news reports in the background, they talk about NATO and the Warsaw pact kicking the shit out of each other for quite a while before the bombs drop

Nuclear doctrine is literally nuke fucking everything

But that's wrong you fucking idiot

I wonder what the soviets thoughts about this movie were at the time

Wtf I love nukes now

>nuclear kino coming through

god this was depressing.

Is that why the ruskies got rid of all their battleships?

>NORAD!! The soviet are targeting us with nukes!
>pre-emptive strike their battleships!
>but... Sir! They don't have any!
>NOOOO!!! Why, Nimitz, why!?!?

that sounds terrifying

This is one of the few movies that just left me numb after watching it. the other from the top of my head is Come and See

Is that where I got these webm's from?

You should learn to stop worrying and love the bomb

I tried watching this a while back and it was kind of annoying so I turned it off. I get that it's true to real life, but I found the old people dumb.. Should I try to rewatch it?

Threads is kino though.

...

I am a child of atom

I-is that supposed to make anyone feel better?

Nuclear weapons are a meme.

>Doesn't know what Threads is

Isn't it past your bedtime?

I don't remember that shit happening in the game at all.

You know, I could really have done without the last ten or so minutes of that movie. I'm specifically thinking of the "ten years later" section. To me it just seems to dive into an area of silliness that I really couldn't take seriously. Which is a real shame because up to then I was completely gripped by it.

Are nukes the scariest thing in existence?

Here is a reoccurring dream of mine.

>Open door walk outside
>sun hits eyes takes a second for everything to come into picture
>on an island very similar to Master Roshi's
>great big blue sky
>somethingsnotright.jpeg
>Start looking around all I see is water and sand
>everything very still
>look back at the house
>look again over to the horizon
>keep looking at same spot
>suddenly sky goes red
>total silence
>see mushroom cloud begin to form
>still silent
>hit the deck
>foetul position
>still silent
>just waiting
>suddenly deafening roars roll over me
>start getting very very hot
>everything gets louder in wave
>repeat until wake up.

Actually physically loud and hot, I think it gets coupled with sleep paralysis which plagues me.

You would go instantly blind if you were looking into it when it happened

Stop spreading false information

>Are nukes the scariest thing in existence?

depends on your faith

Sleep paralysis is caused by overheating, find a way to cool down your room and you could be killing two birds with one stone
