Ridley Scott is making the Alien movie. Blomkamp is out for the exact reason you posted.

...

What a complete douche

>From the producers of

>2014 film

Does anyone else feel slightly bad for Renny Harlin? Die Hard 2 isn't even his best movie but every time he makes a new action movie the trailers mention it.

>this year

Scary Movie
every Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer spoof.

that's because that's the only good movies hes ever made

Ok, cool.

>[thing] Movies
Why do they keep making them? They're just "lmao weed" jokes with a thin veil of some movie and pop culture references

He isn't out. Alien Paradise Lost was renamed Alien Covenant and is a sequel to Prometheus while Blomkamp's movie is next on schedule and will be a sequel to Aliens.

You're so out of the loop.

the what now

Blomkamp's movie is not "next on schedule." It got shelved because Scott wanted to make a new Alien and he didn't want anyone else fucking it up.

If Scott's movie is a massive success and Scott decides he wants to step away from the franchise AND let someone else continue it there's a chance Blomkamp's movie could still happen but I hope you're not holding your breathe.

Because Blomkamp's movie was gettingmore attention than Scott's Prometheus sequel.
So Covenant is coming out first. Scott will produce Blomkamp's Alien. Apparently they will start shooting it once photography for Shane Black's Predator ends but I don't know why.

The Long Kiss Goodnight is a good thriller/action flick. Even Cliffhanger was decent.

>FROM THE PEOPLE THAT BROUGHT YOU STAR WARS COMES A SPECIAL CUT THAT WAS TAPED OVER THE ORIGINAL PRINT OF STAR WARS SOMEHOW THUS DESTROYING IT

Came here to post this. I feel bad for him, yeah. But I also respect the shit out of him. First Finnish director in Hollywood (I don't count (((Moshe Stiller))) as one), endured some hardships and rejection alone in LA in the 80s and now, when everybody had already counted him out, he's succeeding in China.

>from the director of Bridge Maids

Because they cost 10,000 bucks to produce and are shot over a weekend. They've probably got a great budget to profit ratio.

This is the worst because it tricks normies and nabs the studios an extra couple hundred thousand bucks. If I had a dollar for every time some idiot misinterpreted the word "producer" around me I'd be rich too.

It means he threw money at it.

lol chill out bro

iirc, miramax bought the distribution rights and sat on them. tarantino managed to talk them into releasing it uncut, and had to let them use his name on the promos to make it a "sure investment" or something
