I liked The Force Awakens

I like watching Television & Film

Lost is pretty shit

delete this

TV shows suck ass compared to movies. Never seen a movie with a cliffhanger.

pirates of the caribbean as a franchise is more entertaining and rewatchable than any other comparable series

the first one is great and objectively a better film than 3 and 4 but the "only the first movie is good" thing is a literal meme opinion that mindless sheep parrot like the worms that they are

suicide squad was undermarketed

reddit isnt some boogyman, 80% of the people on Cred Forums use reddit in some way, and the demographic that uses both sites is almost identical

This
Couldn't even make it halfway to season 2

It's an unpopular opinion thread, not an unpleasant fact thread

>The Strain peaked mid season 1
>The Feelers are stupid and annoying
>Zach needs to die immediately
>Eph's alcoholism is the least interesting subplot ever
>Setrakian, Palmer, and Eichorst are the only good characters

I think 2 is better than 1
3 is unwatchable imo

I saw 4 double billed with Thor at the drive ins. I liked it quite a bit more than Thor.

Dune wasn't that bad

I agree with everything you said, a lot of those are less of issues in the books though.

I think I enjoy 2 more than 1, 3 is the worst of the bunch but none of the bad in it is bad enough to keep me from having fun from watching it and it has some of the best moments from the franchise

This

Elle Fanning is the ugly sister and is a dumb whore that probably has sexual diseases

Halloween sucks
Mad Max Fury Road is complete trash and Miller is a hack
Godzilla 2014 is unforgivably bad
Pacific Rim was boring garbage
The Evil Dead is the only good movie Raimi ever made and the rest of the series (including remake) are terrible
The Great Silence BTFO's Leone's westerns by far
Cobra Verde is the best Kinski/Herzog film, Fitzcarraldo is the worst
King Kong is one of Peter Jackson's best films
The Frighteners sucks
LOTR isn't that good and the ending is stupid

all television is objectively for plebs and can never be even vaguely good, let alone be art

Game of Thrones is just okay.

>Halloween sucks
true
>The Evil Dead is the only good movie Raimi ever made and the rest of the series (including remake) are terrible
false
>King Kong is one of Peter Jackson's best films
true

Refn is a good director, and Neon Demon was quite enjoyable
Villeneuve makes bad movies, certainly not irredeemable, but very overrated
Malick has never made a bad film

objectively wrong

This.

Wojak>Pepe

you got most of that right, GJ.

>Wojak>Pepe

This.

Let the normies have their pleb meme.

I only use the incest boards desu

opinions unpopular on Cred Forums or everywhere else, because those are very different animals.

For example, this is a very popular opinion.

I agree with it, and I'll add that Nolan is fantastic, all his movies are great.

Fargo is a garbage movie and you should take a real hard look at the things you liked about it because its fucking Reddit incarnate.

I agree with the King Kong bit

Breaking Bad ran too long and is boring through most of the show

>Fargo is a garbage movie
what, no it isn't

>its fucking Reddit incarnate.
and opinion disregarded, your argument is meaningless

were you crying as you typed that?

Dc is only slightly better than Marvel

What an eloquently crafted unpopular opinion.

imagine a Redditor.

imagine the things they would like.

that is Fargo.

>every single thread on Cred Forums is autists arguing with each other
>create a thread about argument inducing opinions and everyone gets along

what did you guys mean by this?

true, assuming you mean comics
If movies, lolnokys

"Arthouse" films (Malick, etc.) are pure fucking garbage

Game of Thrones is mostly garbage filled with padding to stretch out the seasons and only carried by the superb acting of some of the actor on the show. Also fuck dragons the show is better when it's low fantasy.

>Tarantino is overrated but Pulp Fiction is still a great film. Anyone who states otherwise is in all likelihood simply a contrarian who takes pride in having cultivated pretentiousness.

>Films that deal with 'poignant' ideas like depressions are largely cheap and not truly very affecting. Eternal Sunshine and Lost in Translation are pretty much for plebs.

>Super hero movies aren't really that bad, they just aren't particularly interesting.

>What Chris Hansen does is not entrapment, shut the fuck up.

>The Jalapeno Cheetohs are better than the standard flaming hot ones.

They can only agree with other people being contrarian with them in the "act contrarian" thread

F-fuck you pepe I will be 4chans favorite again.

I was with you 100% until that last point.

oh no, well if a Redditor likes something I like, I guess I was wrong to think it was good.

Are they this retarded on Reddit?

This, dragons actually ruin the show, they're too magical for the universe they inhabit

Seriously? Pepe is way better than that faggot feels guy will ever be lmao

Sounds like Reddit has better taste than I expected.

>What Chris Hansen does is not entrapment, shut the fuck up.

Perhaps not from a legal perspective, no, you're technically right.

James cameron makes good movies but never a great one

Hannibal would have been 40x better on HBO or Netflix, it suffered from not being able to show as much as it could have, even though it pushed the envelope for network tv

The Abyss is his best film, just because they let him go as crazy as possible with the filming

The Terminator and True Lies are great movies.

I don't like TV shows.
I feel like they're too much of a commitment to make most of the time. Every show goes bad at some point and that turns me off to them.
I especially don't like Netflix shows

They're good but I don't love any of them, they're well made but lack something

8-12 hours of a single story is too much. Miniseries are much better. 5-6 episodes is lovable, 8 is pushing it, 10-12 is overstaying

I pretty much agree. I haven't watched a single network drama (two dozen fucking episodes per year, most of it shit filler) since
L O S T

Wrong, it's bad.

The third act of Sunshine is good.

Alien 3 is good.

>Alien 3 is good.
You are referring to the workprint edition, of course.

Batman v Superman was good, and the best superhero film so far this year.

The Searchers has the worst ending of an allegedly good film ever

Outside of some stupid shit promethieus is a 9/10
Transformers 1 is pretty great for an action movie
Casino is a goodfellas knockoff
Magnolia is an overrated pta movie except for john c rileys story
Steven spielberg hasnt made a good movie since catch me if you can
Marvel movies are cozy and fun
The fly is the best episode of breaking bad
Arrested Development Season 4 has some great episodes like the Lucile and Gob episodes
And hillary clinton isnt really corrupt in comparison to most politicains and media dont point out and shell still probably win over trump

Season 5 was the last good season of The Simpsons.

same for Breaking Bad

Most people don't know this, but the best HBO series was actually Six Feet Under.

I didn't like The Usual Suspects, everything seemed pointless

True.

apocalypto sucks and mel, despite being a good actor and cool guy, has never made a good movie

>every Mad max
>every Leathal weapon
>Braveheart
>Signs
>What women want
>All are shit
Nice bait

Not him, but yes, sounds right

Actually Ransom was okay, but that's it.

i meant as a director
but yeah braveheart's shit

its extremely underrated thats for sure.

>Casino is a Goodfellas knockoff
You're gonnna have to bait harder than that, compadre.

I don't enjoy watching movies or TV shows. I only enjoy "going" to the movies so I can chill out with my friends or family. Maybe I've got super autism, but most things in the film industry isn't entertaining. Even films I "like" I have absolutely no interest in watching.

Think about the most famous, beloved films of all time. I probably haven't watched it, and the ones I have I avoided because I thought it looked boring...and 100% of the time I was right. Not that it's objectively shit, just that I don't like any of it for some reason.

This isn't an unpopular opinion and in fact you aren't abnormal at all. You're what we call a normie you passively take in everything life and only really enjoy things for social value. Somehow you ended up here by mistake.

and before you say "but why are you here?"

I enjoy discussing things and seeing people discuss it. I like discussing media with others than sitting alone consuming media. Idunno, it's prob some form of turbo autism. Someone will get a medical nobel prize off of researching me.

The angry birds movie was great.

>someone that has never seen Hannibal

i don't watch tv because i fundamentally disagree with it
also that's a pleb show

In the same vein I thought Megamind was pretty good. Of all the kidshit movies I've seen with my nephew that's the only one I'd watch again.

2001 is pretentious garbage which only people who treat film as a hobby to feel better than other people think is good.

Ex Machina, It Follows, and The VVItch are literally movies for dumb people to feel smart and are in reality just pleb movies with broad appeal designed to appear artful or niche.

this is not as disagreed upon as you tihnk

I'm not a big fan of Sasha Grey's acting

Alexander (Oliver Stone) was a good movie. Even as a biopic

I wish the film industry was a lot more "pretentious". read: critical, over typical movies and cinema alike Even when judging art films people aren't critical enough, handing out 5/5's as if it still carries value when they've made it a subjective metric where things get rated relative to their peers
high standards yield good results, and being lenient doesn't. calling a movie "pleb shit" should be an entirely valid criticism
again, this isn't just about movies, which are entertainment, not art. film isn't critical enough, either.

My gf says it's not valid criticism to call the generic romantic conceded she likes for pleb shit. for her it's braindead entertainment. But that's exactly my point. Wat do?

Comedies. Fucking autocorrect. I'm on the shitter

Shouldn't you be over there then?

If you like the male equivalent braindead entertainment action/horror movies there really isn't a whole lot you can do. She has you by the balls in more ways then one, if you literally like no movies for just fun and entertainment yourself you deserve an autism metal and she deserves a more fun person get out.

Don't take what women say seriously. If you give an inch they'll take a mile.

Let her think what she wants until she tries pushing it on you.

Green Lantern is a good movie and Clancy Brown has never been in a bad movie ever

I hate you even if I do like clancy brown

- BvS was a really bad movie.
- Force awakens was better than the precuels.
- Rick and Morty is the most deep animated series of the decade.

IV > V > VI

Dark Knight Rises is the worst of the trilogy

Game of Thrones is god awful shit. It's like a padded out poor man's Lord of the Rings. I watched one episode and was falling asleep halfway in. But the opening theme and music is god tier.

The Godfather trilogy was a bad idea. After 1 they should have stopped. The last two sucked dick.

Prometheus was trash. I've seen comics and fanfiction and fan theories that were better back story than that. What a way to fuck it up.

Relativism is all around postmodern art, but it has it's limits. Criticism and debate are posible. Actually, the craftmanship of what you call 'pleb shit' (assuming pleb as mainstream) can be measured more objectively by the money they make. Inb4 that's easy..

Haven't seen Prometheus, but the other two are pic related.

The only way in which GoT is superior to LotR is the sex and violence which is something that has for a long time been missing from medieval/fantasy movies. I can't watch LotR without expecting people getting maimed, blood spurting, and the occasional whorehouse scene with some naked qts.

LoTR has not much to do with GoT. GoT is loosely based on medieval historical records, and legends are only background and backstory. On the other hand, Tolkien wanted to create a myth, and took influence from actual scandinavian myths and christian spirituality. So in LotR legends are not the backstory, legends are the story.

Random violence and sex isn't that appealing. It's not meant to be a mindless action film so it doesn't pace itself that way. Felt like every time some action took place it was because "shit, pop out a tit or fight someone before the audience changes the channel and gets bored!" That just isn't compelling to me. Lots of other shows and movies do it a lot better and it doesn't come across as so hamfisted.

one is
>medieval epic with fantasy stuff
the other is
>medieval epic with fantasy stuff

Inception is over rated as fuck. Its a decent heist movie but there's nothing deep about it.

I never said it was compelling, nor appealing, nor well done. I'm just saying that as an element it's pretty lacking in LotR. It's a medieval fantasy epic, it needs some tits here and there, and some more blood during the fight scenes. That's all.

I don't get the appeal of Signs. Everyone says it's one of Shymalans best films and it's slow, tedious, and has a shitty ending that felt like it was trying to be the creative "aliens die from something so unexpected" that war of the worlds had. Except dumber in every way.

His other films are alright and not that bad despite how hard he gets shit on.

youtube.com/watch?v=XAAp_luluo0

"Oh, we all know the world is full of chance and anarchy
So yes, it’s true-to-life for characters to die randomly
But news flash, the genre’s called fantasy
It’s meant to be unrealistic, you myopic manatee"

bes banderson is the best director i have ever seen

Blade Runner was the Jupiter Ascending of the 80s; all visuals, no substance, bad script, wooden acting.

Bane?

>The VVItch
How was it those things? It was just a really simple film about a witch in the 1600's. It felt like a play

Baneposting is the only good thing about Cred Forums

>The Steven Soderbergh remake of Solaris is better than the original.
>Saw 3D is a good movie. It's deliberately over the top and not supposed to be taken as seriously as the other movies.
>Spectre was a decent Bond film
>MDE sucks. Nothing they do is clever or funny. Their stuff is almost all preachy alt-right bullshit that's only popular with this board cause most people on here are contrarian faggots.

Super was the only decent superhero movie in years

apocalypse now was boring and uninteresting

pulp fiction on resivoir dogs was bretty gud

return of the living dead>day of the dead>dawn of the dead>night of the living dead

every art house movie ive seen has been pretentious trash

Why the fuck did you watch LOST
