honestly, after all the buildup to terrifying occult shit, the payoff being that green ears = green paint and IT WAS THE LAWNMOWER GUY ALL ALONG were a bit underwhelming. Not actually bad by any means, but a bit underwhelming nonetheless.

I think that's one of the very few complaints on the first season. People thought they where getting Cthulhu and shieeet.

McConaughey took a character that could of been a complete joke and made him into something much more interesting. Some of the dialogue, if said by an inexperienced actor, could have been some Bane tier comedy.
