Love that movie, never thought I'd see it on here. Good theme music too.
its a solid 8/10 film despite its oddly bad reputation
(Chinese make up is a bit odd...why not just hire a chinese actor?)
Anyone seen the rejected tv pilot?
My dad showed me this when I was little and it was the best. I was furious when I finished it and learned that they didn't turn it into a series. I watched it again a couple years ago and it's still pretty good.
I guess we have to pray the new John Wick succeeds so we can have an original action film series for the first time in decades.
I can still hear the theme in my head and Chun was GOAT wizened mentor.
>the adventure begins
I know a few that always gets people.

>gook makeup
What's weird is the jewish actor who plays Chiun now looks like an old asian dude for real without the makeup.
Younger me waited and waited and waited.
I'm still waiting.
>dat running on water scene
rofl it was fun but went full retard. The only really good scene is depicted in the poster, the statue of liberty, because it was actually under renovation at the time of filming and somehow they managed to shoot scenes there on location.
That shit would never happen today.
200% this

This is such a wonderfully bad movie. Comfy as hell, too.
>comfy fantasy setting
>decent plot, although not as good as the book it was based off of
>cute as fuck princess
>surprisingly dark atmosphere for a disney film
>no shitty music scenes
most people I've met don't even know it exists

Is this supposed to be an american version of Zatoichi?
One Valentine's day after a bad breakup I got drunk and watched this on repeat for some reason, and then it just became tradition.
Literally yes. He's a strong american zatoichi who don't need no dog
Comfy old monster movies are the best.

What's wrong with Cred Forums?
The guy saying "googles" in his posts in the past hours isn't any better either.
Yes.
Honestly great comedy but I just never see it talked about. Deserves to be more known.
Just saw Midnight Run for the first time in years. Such a great movie. The chemistry between De Niiro and Grodin is exceptional, backed by a whip smart script.
...
>Hey this is for women only!
*unzips pants*
>And so is this, my dear.
...
I said niggah, not nigger.
Niggahs are the ones hanging out in clubs with golden chains around their neck, niggers are the ones with ropes around their neck.
At least that's how 'Pac defined it.
Midnight Run is fucking awesome.
Honestly, I forgot how great it was. The scene between Walsh and his daughter. Barely any words are spoken and they aren't needed with De Niro's crackerjack performance, and amazingly almost topped by Grodin's. What happened to him anyway? He was so great.
Favorite line in the movie:
>white collar criminal
One more before I go to bed: The Dish. So great and I never see it talked about.
The GOAT Sherlock parody.
