The Cinephile Club

Thread for those who've been watching cinema seriously for 15+ years and have advanced past capeshit, mainstream movies and the same old flicks.

Don't be offended, this is not meant to be pretentious, its just some of us have moved past IMDb-core, indie flicks and the latest hyped blockbuster and have more developed tastes. Do not troll or derail the thread with off-topic discussion.

What good films have you been enjoying lately?

Guardians of the Galaxy
Նռան գույնը

Fucking popcorn eating nigger peasant.

Currently trying to finish Renoir's filmography. Or at least his mainly revered works

Watched the grand illusion and was delightfully surprised by how much heart it had and how it was wasn't a muh holohoax film thatve become borderline cliche at this point. Definitely a masterpiece.

Going to move on to the rules of the game as soon as I get a chance within the next week.

Kill yourself iFaggot

wtf, Пиcьмa мёpтвoгo чeлoвeкa is one of the worse Lopushansky flicks

Lol

For a cinephile like myself, it is truly disgusting to watch these threads being made and the main reason I, and many others, steer far away from this pit of despair and depravity.

except it's not yours?

Stalling faggot. Point proven, leave my thread.

i can post my favorites, you're still a copy pasting fag
archive.4plebs.org/tv/search/text/eden et apres/

Post it then

Were waiting for yours stupid fuck.

El Sur feels very much like a spiritual sequel to The Spirit of the Beehive. I was sad to find out that the director doesn't really have any other features. Maybe he ran out of ideas, and that's why the two films are so similar.

Nah. any movie thread should only include input from those with a min. 30 years watching experience.

I watched Lord of Illusions, Wishmaster, and 31 last night. The former two, classics, and 31 was entertaining. Pretty much what I expected from the Zombimeister. Hitler midget was funny as fuck. I hope there's a sequel. Malcolm M being a creep as usual

XIX saukunis qartuli qronika
Les antiquites de Rome
Himmel und erde
Barroco
Rit over de grens
Roszafabot
Kaskara

Dnes vecer vsechno skoncí

Kys

But Capeshit is the modern Woody Allen movie. It's easy to consume and makes families laugh.

Ignoring them and focusing on films that you *enjoy* isn't something a true cinephile does. You need to analyse everything and find out how films relate to one another

sorry little man, this thread is for grown ups only, you can go back to discussing kurosawa flicks on reddit

This was a kuro thread from the first post

>The Cinephile Club

Satan stop tracking my internet history

Stick to IMDb

>tfw spent 15 plus years watching ten or more movies a week

>during worst period was seeing at least a week on VHS and DVD and multiple films in the cinema

>Now only watch trash cinema and can't even get interested in real films anymore

I'm broken.
