do you think directors with "actress" wives feel pressured from them to put them in their movies. Rob Zombie mainly comes to mind, I always wonder if he never really wants her in his movies but feels awkward if he doesnt put her in it.
I feel like there was way more directors that seem to have this problem, the only other one that comes to mind is adam sandler and his wife, but he puts her in small practically cameo roles.
Eli Myers
I think he just sees her as his muse and it's probably fun to work together.
Brayden Bell
I think it's the movie version of swinging.
Dominic Price
This. I don't see a problem with it if they produce entertaining stuff together, i.e. Frances MacDormand and Joel Coen
Carson Bailey
>"actress"
She not a theatrical known actress? Is she a porn star??? What's with the quotations?
Nicholas Brown
Tim Burton's wife
Landon Campbell
She is only been in Zombies films. I think OP was implying that doesn't make her an actress.
Anthony Ortiz
shes not good, and she only gets work through her husband
Nathan Gutierrez
DIG THROUGH THE DITCHES
Hudson Rodriguez
ex-wife*
Camden Cruz
after seeing her in Witch of Salem I don't think there's a doubt. She does well in exactly what needs to be done. Even her worse is still exactly what's needed for his films. I can't see that being a bad things for a 'kubrick-esque' like Rob.
Xavier Cox
It could be worse, he could be Paul Anderson and have his wife ruin a franchise with her mary sue bullshit.
Rob puts his wife through hell in every single movie aside from House of 1000 Corpses.
>In Rejects she's tortured and eventually shot to shit >In Halloween she an hero's after spending her life as as a deadbeat stripper raiding a psycho serial killer. >In Halloween 2 she's a ghost >In Lords of Salem she births the fucking anti-christ after being put through hell >In 31 she's attacked, tortured and eventually killed as the last woman standing.
Her characters are not given any real preferential treatment.
Jonathan Wilson
BURN THROUGH THE WITCHES AND SLAM IN THE BACK OF MY
Charles Torres
yeah but she can stand on her own, and shes not in every single thing hes done. Then again zombies only done like 5 or 6 movies.
Joshua Diaz
she did some other work.
Jayden Ross
what was the name of that terrible director who married that terrible actress while they were shooting a vampire flick? he only had her in said vampire films
Jaxon Nelson
A rare example of that always working out well.
Joshua Myers
Jesus Franco and Lina Romay?
Those flicks are all so interchangeable.
Jose Richardson
To be fair she never actually planned on being an actress. She wanted to do voice over work until Zombie came along and made her a dancer for his shows/model for his albums/designer for all the stage gear/actress in his music videos.
I think it's more of a case of her doing him a favor, than him trying to prop up her acting career.
Mason Green
Kate Beckinsale?
Colton Gonzalez
It's something I always notice, and it's fun to comment on, but I don't think it's a big deal. I can't think of any film that I've disliked specifically because the director cast his wife/gf.
Ethan Sullivan
Brian De Palma put his wife in Dressed to Kill and Blow Out but she had worked with him before they got married and she was very talented. Kevin Smith is constantly putting his ugly, talentless wife into his films.
Camden Ortiz
There is Paul Anderson and Milla, Len Wiseman and Kate, OP pic related, Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann, who else readily comes to mind with this shit?
Are you talking about the Underworld movies?
Asher Lopez
David Mamet, first with Lindsay Crouse, then with Rebecca Pidgeon.
