Am I the only one who hates the fact that almost every TV drama (and some comedies) these days has to have a blatant sex scene in the first episode? It's played out in my opinion.

>Pools of blood are okay
>Naked tits are not

???

Totally, that's how I felt about season 1 Narcos, but at least they toned it way down in season 2

Fucking Season 1 Narcos had just about a sex scene in every episode, I didn't want to play it on a tv because of other people in the house

Nipples are fine
Asses are fine
But I've been noticing a pattern where every show has a sex scene and it's always loud. With shows like AHS and Shameless I've come to expect it because they're known for it, but it seems almost every show has it in its pilot now. I would hardly call it tasteful either.

>muh ratings
don't you know how tv works user?

Then it's just a shit attempt to hook a normie audience. If it's that easy to keep audiences entertained then why not just air porn 24/7

AHS is TRASH after s2. Infuriating considering how great the costume and set design is.

i want to double team taissa farmiga with peters desu
would do the same with emma
maybe we could have a foursome

Anime is now actually objectively better than degenerate western DIVERSITY tv.

Prove me wrong fagets

some things are more strange

I ain't even gay, but I'd smash Peters, and yeah, Farmiga. How was season 1 and 2 such great camp/pastiche, but the rest such trash. I think the demographic changed desu

I'm tired of both

too many fucking dramas on tv.

though the comedies are just sjw bullshit , so I rarely watch tv from after 2005.

I honestly thought I was the only one. (and to be fair, this is mostly an issue with cable shows; the rare, decent broadcast network drama literally wouldn't be able to get away with it if it's not Scandal/ABC)

It was the main reason I couldn't get through the Halt and Catch Fire pilot.

>hmm how do we show that our show is adult and serious?
>could we showcase stakes and complex emotions that adults understand? could we gently and confidently pace our show to indicate some seriousness?
>nah dude SEX LMAO

Sex scenes don't add anything. If i wanted to see people fuck i would go to xvideos.

Outcast didn't have nipples or gratuitous sex until like episode 7 or 8.
And it's a Cinemax show.
Surprised the fuck out of me

I find it really unfortunate that H&CF is that way because I think it does have well done characters and arcs but also lots of Lee Pace fucking men and women... seems very forced and unnecessary.

Yes.

Maybe you should just watch some children's shows. Cred Forums might recommend you some cartoons, Avatar the Last Airbender is quite good.

>Anime
Have fun on the eternal virgin life ride

I think they do that to get children to watch.

The only time in my life that I would ever watch a show just for the sex scenes and eroticism was when I was around 11 or 12 years old or so.

Somebody's more likely to nurture sexually deviant fantasies and behaviors than they are violent behaviors. I think that's why fantasy violence in movies is less verboten than sexual eroticism. Though there are plenty of movies with sex and rape and things.

Personally though I don't think a normal guy is going to watch a rape scene and then go out and rape somebody. I don't think anybody is really just one movie scene away from committing a felony, and they just need to see that one scene to push them over the edge.
