Master and Commander, his only regret in life is that he was born after the age of sail

My dad has shit taste.

Braveheart.

Idk, he's a quiet man.

This is my Mom's favorite as well

Battleship

My mom was always the one I bonded with over movies. My dad doesn't like movies unless they're realistic, substantive and have valuable meanings. He doesn't even like them, really.

Ko To Tamo Peva

Holy shit dadmind

2001: A Space Odyssey or the remake of 3:10 to Yuma.

The Truman Show, no joke.

The Deer Hunter or Full Metal Jacket

>loves westerns
>my favorites are tombstone, ect., the list goes on
Some John Wayne crap is better than most of the dogshit this board likes.

The rock I guess

if your dad's favourite film isn't a Sergio Leone film he had low t and you're a defective child

Nothing wrong with Tombstone or John Wayne

>He disliked The Shootist

any of the Roger Moore James Bond movies

Probably Jingle All The Way or Jungle 2 Jungle, he always wanted to watch those movies when we got together

Raging Bull, only one i've heard him talking about in a positive manner.
If "Get a job!" is a movie then its probably that.

Dirty Harry or High Plains Drifter. He's a huge Clint Eastwood fan

I don't know my dad and I feel it severely effected my upbringing.

my dad helped me find this gem
>me and dad watch Taken
>he starts saying it's trash

Conan the Barbarian

He's never given a definitive favourite, but I can give a selection of films I know he really loves.

Scarface
Marathon Man
Full Metal Jacket
Letters from Iwo Jima
Godfather I & II
Batman '89
The Deer Hunter
Serpico
Klute

i'd believe it

he already left behind like 5 kids in mexico in the early 80s

I don't know my dad's favorite film but my mom's is definitely this one, she even knows the name of the director and shit.

He died about 20 years back, but it was either this, or Platoon. He watched them both quite often.

rip

The Deer Hunter

My Dinner with Andre. He loved it so much when it came out that he saw it eight times in the theater.

My dad never watches movies, he says he can't relate. He just exercises all morning then falls asleep watching CNBC.

Asked him recently, he couldn't give me a top 5 but said this would probably be his favorite.

He doesn't really like films but the few he sometimes references include the Fly, the Blues Brothers, the Thing, Eraserhead, and Hot Fuzz

He's basically so unaware of films that he sometimes catches one he likes and it sticks with him.
