PITCH YOUR SCREENPLAY

This isn't another /swg/ thread, this is a PITCH THREAD

Pitch that screenplay you've been working on here and see how a bunch of contrarian assholes like it

Ender's Game TV show rotoscoped, that's darker and more chicks and better video games.

A disease is spreading around the US which makes you crave isolation and reject companionship. The film centers on a couple finding themselves/the world around them becoming more and more isolated and lonely. Nobody really knows it's a plague or really has any clue what's going on. I wanna use lots of visual clues - areas associated with socialness going empty, places we associate loneliness with becoming cluttered and packed. Empty living rooms, dirty bedrooms. Empty bars/restaurants, highways jam packed with people looking to escape for a little bit. The plot of the film is the main character understanding, coming to terms and eventually accepting his craving of loneliness. There's no happy ending.

>places we associate loneliness with becoming cluttered and packed

Which means they no longer provide isolation.

>highways jam packed with people looking to escape for a little bit

So isolationists prefer to get out of the house and spend hours in the company of others in traffic than stay at their lonely homes? Plus the whole point of traffic is getting to places like restaurants, malls and shit. Why is there traffic when nobody is going anywhere anymore?

Work the worldbuilding stuff better, senpai. But it has potential.

It's moreso for visual queues than holding up logically. But I'll indulge.

Places that we associate with loneliness can still feel that way even in the presence of others. Imagine sitting on a beach filled with people, sure you're surrounded but you can still feel isolated and detached. It still provides the feeling.

And I disagree that driving is just a means to get somewhere. Think of just going for a drive, it's a cathartic release. You get to sit alone by yourself in your car and listen to music for a while, able to ignore the outside world. Doesn't matter that you have no destination. It's the act which brings the release.

But thanks for the suggestions/response user, I'll get around to finishing the script one day.

>Ugly teenager with no talent dreams of being a singer
>Fails at her school presentation, humiliated
>Back home, the Devil shows up and promises to fix it for her soul yadda yadda
>She signs it, along with 3 other people, a father who lost his family gets his daughter back, an autistic shut-in gets the girl he's in love with to fall for him, and a pyscho teenager who killed her parents gets mind control powers
>15 years later the ugly girl is now a beautiful popstar with an amazing voice, getting awards everywhere
>She gets a horrifying vision that tells her to go somewhere the next day
>She arrives to find the Devil there, but he isn't there to collect their souls, he's there to ask for a favor
>If the 4 manage to kill a pregnant teenager on the run, their souls are freed while still keeping what they got from the contract
>They agree and start tracking her down, as they discover that not only the girl is protected from heaven, but from also a sinister group of religious freaks

That's all I kinda got so far.
The twist is of course that thevgirl is the reincarnation of Mary, pregnant with Jesus for the second coming

>ITT : people who have no idea how to pitch a script

Here's mine :
An nihilist, anxious guy gets involved in a love triangle with an amateur pornstar and her gangster boyfriend.

Posting pic so I don't have to retype. Have at it.

what the fuck

But would you watch it?
Also, if someone pitched you human centipede, would you not say what the fuck?

Give me more than that, user.

a guy has to choose between a bacon cheesburger and the woman he loves

title: CROSSFIRE

well, I guess.
I feel like theres a few two many twists, what do you mean by transylvania being north korea? As in its become a dictatorship or its literally located in north korea?

It's worth mentioning the cemetary the zombie is buried in is built on top of by an australian couple making a home, si he has an Australian accent for the rest of the film.

Most of these things would be introduced casually, instead of as a "twist"; most of the plot is an understated non sequitur that conveys a dry humor somewhat like "what we do in the shadows". The gang spends most of the movie trying to get to transylvania... But they get to actual transylvania (modern day romania), to realize that transylvania is more of an idea than a place. Out of ideas, a sketchy individual approaches them asking them if they were looking for transylvania. He offers them passage. They get in a large shipping crate thinking they're going to the fabled transylvania. They get out and it's north korea. FIN
ends a bit like The Big Lebowski

lmao what

man meets the love of his life, but they interact over 2 hours and then go their separate ways. its told in real time, improvised, and its shot memento style.

a man buys a rug at a flea market, turns out that when he unrolls it, there's what looks like a void which is actually a dark staircase into a hellish place....

someone finds an axe in the woods and it possesses him..... like amityville

a lost tribe in the congo is found when flying drones overhead. a group of scientists (young and beautiful) go to investigate them, but what they find out is that they worship a tree that eats people.

a real time, single take, man holding another man hostage and having a long conversation about what they are doing there. think poe's cask of amontillado

Carl Panzram biopic starring Michael Shannon.

After ravaging a crashed alien ship in the 40's, a local mafia family becomes the de fact crime family in a bustling west coast city during the 70's.

Two police officers with intimate knowledge of the family are backed by a government agency to acquire the alien technology and kill the Mafia Head.

THE BUCKET LIST (COMEDY/DRAMA):
A cheery nihilist suicidal man takes his best friend on a road trip as he tries to finish a list of things he always wanted to do before killing himself.
The twist is that his friend is dead the whole time and the cheery nihilist is really a jaded suicidal man that lost the only friend he had.

Really really like this idea, but maybe select different kinds of people for the group who will be tasked with killing Mary.

>Chupacabra

A group of college students are being driven back home in a bus. The bus breaks down in the middle of the New Mexico desert. Suddenly the only Asian guy in the group gets killed by a monstrous pale blood sucking mutant bat. Noticing that everything is happening rather stereotypically, the Mexican bus driver realizes he's a character in a movie and must now play characters against each other so that he ends up the only survivor.

interesting, like The Prophecy... but instead of walken its like a suicide squad of heathens.

skip the intro, and treat them as expositive flashbacks, or stories to tell. having a heavy intro like that teeters on stupid and can easily fuck the whole story/movie up.

>An nihilist, anxious guy gets involved in a love triangle with an amateur pornstar and her gangster boyfriend.
