I like Enterprise more than Voyager, but Archer was the worst Captain.

The hack writers wanted him to come off as inexperienced, but instead he just comes off as stupid.

trips confirm that Picard was objectively w̶o̶r̶s̶t̶ the second best captain

>I like Enterprise more than Voyager, but Archer was the worst Captain.
Very much this.

Is it weird that I really do not like Picard? I feel he is a bit too much of a pussy and doesn't belong in the captain's chair, he'd be better suited for an ambassador job or something

Voted Janeway because Tuvix

It's 2375, the Federation has been decimated by the Dominion War, as have the Klingons and Romulans, The Cardassians are no longer considered a power in the quadrant due to the losses incurred.

You are Admiral Anonymous, how do you make The Federation great again?

At least he is consistently stupid, Janeway as a character is all over the place. You never know which one of her split personalities you're going to get

this cracked me up, maybe the best Garrison cartoon yet

He should do more sci-fi related strips

>You are Admiral Anonymous
I do something pointlessly dastardly.

Stupid as well as an asshole that cares way more about his dog than he does anything else.

Picard was an Ambassador basically. What they meant by "Flagship" wasn't the military sense of the ship that the commander of a fleet would use, but some kind of mobile advert for why you want to join The Federation (look how smart and advanced we are, look at this luxury, you can have this too if you just let us be your bosses forever). And Picard was the chief salesman of the USS Propaganda.

kek

At least the Borg tell you their intentions straight up.

Picard is my favourite, but still, kek.

He did what was needed when it came too it and wasnt hesitant to use violence when it was needed

I dont think any captain was as happy to use the self destruct function as Picard was , he threatened to blow his ship up to beat someone like what, 5 or 6 times

>any episode with 'ancient humans'
stop, gene. stop. it's not Really Makes You Think, it's just excruciating. stop making the pre-ww3/augmentwar humans ask about their teevee. i beg you

It's insidious ;)

Please don't make this into a general. I love Star Trek threads, but generals never turn out well

...

It goes back and forth between general and not. There aren't enough shitposters as of late, so we need to generalize to attract them.

>We are the Borg.
>You will be humiliated.
>Resistance is fiscal.

It was only made as a sequel to the last thread because it hit bump limit, chill

Hi readdit

What's this from?

Is that you dick dastardly?

I just want to talk about Star Trek and most people forget to put the words 'star trek' in the OP so people can find it. Even this doesn't find them all:

>/(trek|TNG|DS9|Cardassian|Bajoran|Spock|Jadzia|Ezri|Tuvok|Neelix|Sisko|Enterprise|Voyager|Picard|Janeway|Sisko|Worf|Photon|(deep space (9|nine))|(next generation)|(prime directive)|Holodeck|(La\s?Forge)|Barclay|(wrong quadrant))/i;boards:tv;op:only;highlight:star-trek

Was it rape?

And you'll only get a slap on the wrist

Keiko looks stunning in that red dress

>He did what was needed when it came too it and wasnt hesitant to use violence when it was needed
Not entirely true. There are many episodes where force would have been advisable and completely within protocol, and instead he wrings his hands for hours trying to find a more peaceful solution.

Thankfully he's the protagonist of a TV series so everything turns out all right in the end, but in real life he would have gotten his entire crew killed several times over due to his inaction. If you can't be decisive you don't belong in the captain's chair

computer play fart, wet, sustained, one hundred fifteen decibels

Yes, Lwaxana Troi was charged with accessory to oomox without consent and was sentenced to 6 months in Rura Penthe.

Janeway should have been tried for her crimes as soon as she got back to Earth

>implying Tuvix didn't deserve to be split back into two people

Bar'aQ Ogh'Bama is from the Ketha Lowlands! I have the birth certificate! He secretly honors Moloch! He's going to take away our bat'leths using his personal army of A'kor'n!

I couldn't vote in that poll, I've liked all the Captains for various reasons. I really don't think any are worse than the others. All good. Just my humble opinion.

[beatboxes] I drive really slow in the transwarp corridor while Klingons behind me are howling for Sto-Vo-Kor

Picard is best captain

I would say Sisko but he went kind of insane a few times with muh prophets shit and really should have been relieved of command when he went full Emissary

Picard>Sisko>Kirk>Archer>Janeway

I dont see how anyone can disagree Janeway is worst , she was completely nuts

>Bar'aQ Ogh'Bama is from the Ketha Lowlands! I have the birth certificate!
Everyone knows The Borg Queen invented that claim during her 2008 Presidential Run. This is confirmed, this is admitted, I have the PADDs

(((EDELWEISS)))

Kathryn Janeway waited. The lights above her blinked and sparked out of the air. There were borgs in the cube. She didn't see them, but had expected them now for years. Her warnings to Starfleet Command were not listenend to and now it was too late. Far too late for now, anyway. Kathryn was a starfleet captain for fourteen years. When she was young she watched the spaceships and she said to dad "I want to be on the ships daddy." Dad said "No! You will BE KILL BY BORGS" There was a time when she believed him. Then as she got oldered she stopped. But now in the borg cube she knew there were borgs. "This is Tovok" the radio crackered. "You must fight the borgs!" So Kathryn gotted her phaser rifle and blew up the wall. "SHE GOING TO KILL US" said the borgs "I will shoot at her" said the queen and she fired the rocket missiles. Kathryn phasared at her and tried to blew her up. But then the ceiling fell and they were trapped and not able to kill. "No! I must kill the borgs" she shouted The radio said "No, Kathryn. You are the borgs" And then Kathryn was a borg.

I've been here longer than you, senpai

FUN FACT: Janeway becomes the Borg Queen in the TNG books.

>Question: Why not in the Voyager books?
Answer: Because the Voyager books take care of their characters, but the TNG books are all about screwing over every other series in the franchise.

Voyager was the 1st Trek I watched. Loved the whole 'one big family' feel of it at that time.

I watched TNG afterwards, and altho some episodes are laughable by modern standards, it was pretty good overall.

Deep Space 9 was the GOAT of Star Trek, I literally can't fault it.

...

Just don't put general in the subject next time and we'll be good

In my vision, the Maquis vs. Star fleet storyline actually gets dealt with. Maquis are rebels, and only true rebels smoke. So when they come on board, they make sure to bring some green. This clashes with Janeway's vision of star fleet as pig cops that only want to ruin some kid's good time. Janeway starts off strong with her anti-fun philosophy, but is critically weakened when it turns out that Tuvok has become down with the Chronic while with the Maquis. She is devastated when Kim, her own little project, comes to his station high and spends two hours scanning the ship for some fritos (all snack food having been banned by janeway in her never-ending quest to ruin everyone's fun). The season climaxes in a cliffhanger episode where the Maquis attempt to flood the entire ship with weed smoke and Janeway and Kes (she is very pro-weed but finds that the Maquis tactics are "bad voodoo") try to kill everyone's buzz. The last scene is of Janeway and Kes being captured, Harry throwing a blunt out of Voyager's window, a mechanical hand picking it up, and a Borg drone talking a nice big puff while his red face laser thing turns green.

>No Worf , Dukat , or Sexual Organs memes in last 2 Trek threads

Where did we go so wrong

Also, I really wish that, instead of the borg, UPN had made Voyager try to boast its rating by appealing to the stoner-star trek fan subset. Like they could have had an episode where the Doctor gets on Harry's case because he is smoking to much, but then the Harry writes a subroutine that allows the Doctor to smoke the space chronic. Or maybe they could have one where Kim tries to build a weed drive for the ship, but he fucks up and creates a sentient weed smoke cloud that traps Voyager. In another episode, Janeway is totally being a narc bitch because she doesn't like Kim, Paris, and Chakotay hot-boxing in the Delta Flyer.

There is a lot of debate over captains , how about we debate over commanders for once

Kira > Spock > Riker > Akoocheemoya

"Fifth-Level Officer, tell me about your copulative mechanisms."

Yeah, and maybe they could've done a crossover with the Simpsons where the space kush proves too much for even Weedell.

I'm sorry, we're all out of stock of those iteams, please accept this complementary failed meme instead:

Every fucking day. Every single fucking day when i come to quark's this little faggot just sits there and gives me this stupid look on his face. What should i do about him? Ideas?

...

Would you trade broadband internet for a new Trek show with models and no liberals on staff?

>no liberals on staff
'liberals Liberals LIBERALS LIBERALS!!!! REEEEEEE'

>strawpoll.me/11334404
ugh

Seriously though, why can't they do this with computers? Why does it always look like shit?

No, because I would probably end up needing internet to watch it.

Can you survive even one day without injecting your politics into everything?

Can Star Trek writers?

No, but Trek writers make the series great, whereas fans just ruin everything.

>TFW you're far from the bones of your ancestors

The best Star Treks were run by liberals (Gene Roddenberry, Michael Piller, Ira Steven Behr). The worst Star Treks were run by conservatives (Rick Berman, Brannon Braga).

It really makes your positronic neural net go whiz bang pow.

Star Trek is inherently liberal and there's nothing wrong with that. It's the new armchair liberalism that obsesses over race and gender politics that is the real cancer. And by the way, yes, I am worried about that shit being injected into the new Trek show. There was too much postgender crap in the TNG-era shows to begin with.

Can we please just let men be men and women be women? Come on guys it's the CURRENT YEAR

I dont care about trek

I care that for a decade there were two amazingly well written shows that used sci fi as a sandbox for great stories

You dont need trek, you need writers and networks with balls to not dumb everything down

QUAAAAARRKKK!

>"No gays allowed!"
>"There's no difference between Koreans and Chinese, all Asians are the same."
>"A woman's worth is determined by her cup size."
>"Shut up and put on that corset!"
>"A girl is ready for a man to take her at the age of two, maybe even one."
Do you think Rick Berman is a 4channer?

Whatever keeps degeneracy off star trek

He actually said those things? Did you get this from the rumour mill?

>Implying Enterprise isn't Best Trek

Was it Brannon Braga or Rick Berman that got to fuck Jeri Ryan?

>>"No gays allowed!"
Good

>>"There's no difference between Koreans and Chinese, all Asians are the same."
In Star Trek, that's pretty much correct. Humans are all the same it seems

>>"A woman's worth is determined by her cup size."
That's just absurd and probably taken out of context

>>"Shut up and put on that corset!"
Another lie

>>"A girl is ready for a man to take her at the age of two, maybe even one."
WEW

>When are we getting a Chinese character? Lol that's you, Garrett!
>An Indian character? You're the Indian character, Alex, you stupid fucking shitskin coon.

Then all humans are the same so that's okay I guess.

How many viewings did it take for you to realise Move Along Home is Comedykino?

Fuck tuvix.
I wanted sexy black mr vulcan back

>wrong quadrant
I really really like this meme

>>"No gays allowed!"

I'm going to be real for a moment. I love Garak. He is probably my favorite Trek character of all time, and he's been through a lot of rough shit. At the end of the day I just want to see him happy. If him being happy involves him quenching his thirst by bending Bashir backwards over a sewing workbench and sticking his scaly grey lizard dick into a genetically modified super butthole then I'm okay with it. Like I said, I just want to see him happy. Is that really so wrong?

>Bacha Bashir spends years telling me how he loves "frontier medicine"
>Always show my interest, nod at all the right points when he's monologuing about post-ganglionic fibers
>Betray my people to stay close to him during the war
>Always volunteer for assignments with my boy
>We even retook Cardassia together
>800 million dead and I'm finally home
>He never offered to stay
Poor Gary

watching DS9 for the first time, just finished s2. Loving every episode.

>When you get bored of being a floating face in space and decide to spend 80 or 90 years telling a story about a cloud

sisko wasn't a captain

kirk/picard>janeway>Archer

To be honest, I don't really mind them experimenting with different genders and whatnot, especially with alien cultures.

That said though, any attempt they make these days is going to go down in flames because when these armchair liberals see something they don't like, they take it personally and harrass people over it.

Did you stop watching after before season 3 or something? He is promoted to captain and gets his own starship

Kirk > Sisko >>>>> Picard >>>>>>>> dogshit >>>>>>>> Janeway > Archer

Ds9 ruined startrek

Early DS9 is TNG-esque comfy core Trek, but just wait, it gets a hell of a lot better. Season 4 is the peak IMO

Kathryn Janeway is the most handsome Captain

see now you are just trying to down mouth picard and janeway

like the ds9 pleb you are

you only threw in kirk for legitimacy

>It's a Garak BTFO Ezri episode

youtube.com/watch?v=FLp_HJl-0nI

Worst Dax

Move Along Home is the The Royale of DS9 episodes

By which I mean, wonderful and underrated as fuck.

>see now you are just trying to down mouth picard and janeway
Picard is too much of an indecisive pacifist for my tastes, and Janeway suffers from inconsistent writing.

>like the ds9 pleb you are
you're the pleb, pleb

>you only threw in kirk for legitimacy
Kirk is objectively the best, wouldn't expect a Picard-loving pussy like you to understand

>The Royale

wait people don't like this episode? It's fucking great!

Delete this please

sisko not only broke the prime directive he committed crimes and not only that became a space god to a species

he wasn't even a captain until he was wrote in

>tfw you can't even get good scotch

youtube.com/watch?v=r0RuRJOQa8M

That so-called "official" episode guide people are always posting has it labelled as "Bad" and I've not seen many others defending it.

>When you realise Star Trek had more good casino heist stories than the Ocean's (11 + n) movies

>not loving over-the-top crazy Space Jesus
He's a riot, just go with it and stop being a stick in the mud

Wait, you mean he only became a captain after a writer wrote it? Is that how it works? Astounding!

So I take it Shatner and Stewart are captains in real life?

>you like startrek huh?
>I bet you liking me taking a shit all over it
>you don't like a black man breaking the rules and being space Jesus?
>guess you are just a racist kiddo
>we don't haf to play by da rules

>sisko not only broke the prime directive
Every Captain did
>he committed crimes
Every Captain did
>became a space god to a species
Every Captain did

"startrek"

as trekking through space

not command a space station

>muh perfect utopia
>wahhh Section 31
>wahhh why is a nigger the captain
Roddenberry fags really are the worst

>what is a runabout
>what is the wormhole that allows us to explore a new quadrant
>what is the Defiant

I agree, manacling the entire cast to the walls of DS9 was ultimately deleterious to the plot

>It's an Odo sniffs Kierra's seat after she leaves the room episode.

>It's an Anonymous forgets The Founders have no sense of smell episode

So, what exactly can the holodeck create that's "real"?

it's like the mobsters, stuff can go outside the holodeck door but it only lasts a few seconds

thats why its so much more painful

poor odo

But he stayed wet

Reminder that The Outrageous Okona is a cryptic masterpiece

>Tell me, mon capitaine, if your Federation morals are so superior, why do you still imprison sentient creatures for your aesthetic pleasure?

Holodecks have built-in replicators. Food in a holoprogram is edible

nice head-canon

you got a better in-universe explanation?

The entire show is set in the holodeck

...

I'm pretty sure this was described in a tech manual somewhere..

What did ya all think of the new movie? I quite enjoyed it. Do they in the shows show any of the civilian world and show the cast dressed in normal clothes ever? I liked seeing civilian life and space stations that had an atmosphere with water etc.

Bit too heavy on the cryptic, though

Still haven't seen it. The only nu-Trek movie I've seen is the '09 film, which I hated so much that I am skeptical about watching any more of them. IMO the last good Trek movie was Undiscovered Country

Would I like it?

I think so, it was good.

Stewart pretty much felt the same way, especially with his whole "Picard isn't shooting and screwing enough" view on the character.

It is really weird to see him get into fist fights though, like in the Generations movie. It's almost like it's a foregone conclusion he's going to lose without some help.

;_; she was just trying to help

I saw 2009 and dismissed the franchise, the amount of threads about the latest movie compared to its box office makes me suspect shills were here too

I felt the same way, I love Garak but being mean to my waifu is not acceptable. It's the only episode I don't like him in

I'm not sure if it's all just shilling, Beyond actually has different writers and a different director than the previous two movies. The possibility that it isn't awful exists

Let's settle this democratically

strawpoll.me/11336522

The Drumhead is the best episode of TNG.

Picard on the hot seat with Satie was the best acted scene of the series.

>user I'm worried. Your thoughts have become increasingly pornographic. Is there something you'd like to tell me?

>Old lady hairbun Janeway

At least post the bobcut or ponytail Janeway

The Measure of a Man is better, more interesting and nuanced. Drumhead was just a bit too over-the-top IMO

He called her out for the shitty vapid whiny unneeded 11th hour character that she is

He didnt say anything that wasnt true

>i want to blast cum all over your clavicle and up your neck

Just because what you have to say is true doesn't mean you should say it. It's called not being a jackass

What would happen if someone stayed in a holodeck eating holographic food for like a month

holographic food , not replicated

When they step out would like half of them dissolve and leave them some horrible abomination because they digested holographic food

What if you stayed and ate holographic food for 7 years and every cell was replaced , would you have become a hologram?

Why was the entire Enterprise D carpeted, including engineering?

Last thing I want next to my antimatter containment field is a potential fire hazard.

You are hotter with straight hair and a real uniform , please take off the shitty catsuit and ugly perm

God forbid the assassin/spy is rude to a little bitch

It was the '80s. Carpet was the future.

Voyager was carpeted too, including the kitchen
At least dont have a carpet in your fucking mess hall, why would you do that.

She wasn't a bitch at all. She's a meek little kitten, except for the episode where she hunts down the crazy Vulcan which is the GOAT Dax episode.

Literally all of her dialogue is
"It sure is hard being a trill , wow like so many different memories to deal with !" or "It sure is akward being around worf as a trill who was his wife"

All she ever does is complain about how hard it is to be her, she is the worst character on DS9 and one of the worst characters in Trek period

if Cred Forums didnt think she was their QT waifu they would agree she is shit as a person

>statistically speaking there must be an alien race out there who have thick shag carpeting all over their ship as standard

>Prime derective
>Applying to Bajorans, a warp capable race

No.

Archer is best Captain.

Grabs borg and pulls out its borg tubes... commences killing it with his bare hands.

Archer is a real man... not a flaky faggot, a token gibsmedat, or self-entitled feminot like the rest of them.

Under Federation law, all unscheduled fires over a certain size are required to extinguish themselves.

I'm sure they came up with static free carpet by the 24th century

anyways carpet has fallen out these days because of hardwood, which you don't have on a tritanium starship, it's not exactly comfy to stand on diamond plate steel everywhere..

She's just so fucking adorable though, I want to cuddle up with her and tell her everything will be okay

Anyway, I can agree she isn't one of the better characters in Trek, but one of the worst? In a universe where Voyager and Enterprise and nu-Trek exist? I don't think so

considering it's rare for there to be a low self esteem character anywhere in starfleet, is one season of that really so bad?

i thought the whole unexpected joining thing was a good way to recover Dax after Terry Farrell couldn't hack the shooting schedule..

It wouldnt be that bad if she ever talked about anything else , she is one dimensional at best

That episode was godawful user shame on you

the prime directive works like this

if they arn't warp capable you arn't even supposed to make your existance known

if they are warp capable you make First Contact (since they are bound to meet you anyways better handle it properly) but you aren't supposed to give them technology or interfere in their culture

It's only if they join the federation that the prime directive no longer applies

I found it refreshing as well

The prime directive still applies to warp races

Picard didnt want to deal with the Klingons high council bullshit because of it

Also I want to ask, how the fuck are Klingons warp capable if they hate scientists and doctors and everything but being a warrior

There's nothing "intefering" about the bajorans deciding by themselves that Cisco's the prophet.

...

Really? I loved it, thought it was one of the better episodes of season 7, and I don't say that lightly because I think it's a great season aside from a few nagging issues, like the Dukat/Winn arc and Kira's ugly hairdo

He's just cranky because she's getting a daily dose of the best 12 inch dick genetic science can offer.

it was kind of a grey area since Sisko was supposed to evaluate Bajor for membership

And Its not his fault but, but realistically I think star fleet command would have replaced him because he became "tainted"

>tfw had weird dream last night
>go to moon to investigate the mysterious lunar Tower of Babel (it was also a school trip despite being mid-twenties)
>turns out it's a museum of manned missions to the moon (that's on the moon for some reason)
>car park outside is full of sinister vents with purple glow
>meet Scott Bakula outside. He was just hanging about in the car park.
>tell him how much I enjoyed his performance as Archer on Enterprise
>we try to find source of strange purple glowing vents (he's in character as Archer now)
>Trip appears and shouts that "we have to go the place is about to blow!" in his stereotypical accent
>mad dash to the lunar rocket now as the moon is being evacuated (the moon is now lush English countryside at this point bizarrely)
>get stuck in queue of desperate people trying to board rocket to escape
>wake up suddenly at 5am

Engineering always seemed pretty small for such a huge ship

The Prime Directive is more complicated than that.

it's called budget..

Bajorans aren't warp capable though

we know resistance got it from the cardies

besides they were space faring for over 1000 years they could have came up with warp

>WE WUZ ASTRONAUTS AND SHIET
>WE HAD SAILBOATS IN SPACE MUHFUGGA

Fuck off Bajoran scum

>The entire show is set in the holodeck

Worked for Enterprise

Prophets are best characters.

I own this terrible record

Voyager's mess hall used to be the captain's private dining room for diplomatic use

Sounds like a mix of 2001 (Mysterious Tower of Babel on the moon), Futurama (Museum and park on the moon), Enterprise, and The Twilight Zone (Crowds boarding rockets to escape catastrophe), along with some other weird dream themes like instant jumps from place to place, and people and places morphing and stuff.

Anybody else find Grilka kinda sexy?

>It's a Tuvok goes Berserk episode

youtube.com/watch?v=nXtjlHmZiQI

Both those episodes were quite good.

I know right? Tuvok is one my favorite voyager characters.

I wonder what evil mirror universe Janeway was like?

She may never have made it to the Delta Quadrant, but if she had, she would have probably just been the evil space pirate depicted in Living Witness.

The only reason trektards hate Archer is because trektards are faggots.

Archer is a strong, white, cis male, and faggots hate that shit.

She negotiated a peace treaty between The Federation and The Borg then went on to invent a method for replicating happiness and was subsequently sainted.

>Warp factor 7
Typical rethuglican, doesn't care about the space global warming speed limit.

...

Three out of five captains were straight white males.

Typical libtardian... still spreading totalitarian lies in the 24th century and beyond.

Name one who manhandled a borg with his bare hands.

What are the ds9 books like then?

Picard told the Q to fuck off even though he knew how powerful they were. Archer didn't even know how serious the Borg were. Kirk was as manly as possible.

They're much like the Daleks in that regard, are they not?

Yes. I thought it was stupid that quark manages to win her heart in her second ep but then she isn't mentioned again.

>Computer, JUST

Picard was a numale pussy. Kirk was a strutting princock, and a jew. Both had awesomely powerful vessels, and both knew their way around the galaxy.

Archer had to make it or take it as he went along. He was more of a man than both of those guys.

Even worse is that she becomes Worfs new wife in the DS9 relaunch books

I don't think anybody liked those dress uniforms.

The DS9 books take care of their characters, but the TNG books are all about screwing over every other series in the franchise.

FUN FACT: Sela (from TNG) blew up Deep Space Nine (in a TNG book).

Would you watch it?

Gene Roddenbery was an actual irl communist and was open about it u fuck

I'm reading the book about Garak by the guy who played Garak. It's pretty fucking amazing and really fucking gay.

Who's in the middle and what happened to Garak's eye?

And yes.

Didn't Janeway and Q have a kid?
Also didn't Janeway and Paris fuck as primorodial lizard things?

I'm pretty sure that Kira's in the middle.
Although I'm not sure about the implication that Garak is one of Odo's love interests.

Bashir. Who else would jack off to a girl in a coma?

Garak is Asuka. I know this because they are both tsundere trash.

...

>it's a "we are the only ship in range in a federation with a population of 20 trillion" episode

but Star Trek wasn't a communist society

The Prime Directive means not interfering with pre-warp races AND not interfering with the internal affairs of other civilizations for personal gain.

Post your rare Trek qt3.14s

Well, it's a good thing that Sisko did neither of those then.

...

>having a Romulan Senator assassinated
>instigating a war between the Dominion and the Romulans
Do you even watch Star Trek?

Well, a Millitary isn't a Democracy either, even if it is the military of a Democratic state, nor is a University a Democracy in the same scenario.

Starfleet is just an organization under a set of species whose government is rarely if ever mentioned.
The closest semi-well defined organization is the Federation, and they're more like a representative body, than an actual government.

>for personal gain
You are technically incorrect, the worst kind of incorrect.

How in the hell could Picard's family have died in a fire? Aren't they using super-asbestos in the future?

"Commander, tell me about your sexual organs."

Bashir's uncle did it. Notice how he talks about time being the fire in which we burn. He's an arsonist, and he was just egging Picard on.

Isn't Starfleet basically the military of the federation

...

Triple sevens confirm Atkinson as a missed opportunity. God imagine him sarcastically taking apart the Daleks. It would be poetry.

Valeris is my waifu but nobody else seems to appreciate her

That's okay, you guys can carry on being cucked by the Kligons, we'll be Making The Federation Great Again

you are late

Pointless character, it should have just been Saavik.

Well it's basically NASA and the UN Military all rolled into one, being whichever is needed at the time.
The Federation is like the UN+NORAD

>Making The Federation Great Again
>conspiring with the niggers of the Alpha Quadrant to murder your own leaders and frame the greatest Captain in Starfleet history

>frame the greatest Captain in Starfleet history

This gets me thinking. What exactly did the conspirators think Kirk was going to do when they shot at the Chancellors ship? I think they were betting on fighting. Anyone got any ideas?

Personal refering to the Federation and Starfleet. Woops. Poor choice of words.

Kirk had gone senile or something, the real Kirk never trusted Klingons, and he never will, he can never forgive them, for the death of his boy.

It's alright, we all make mistakes.

No shit. They tried getting her back but her actress refused because she didn't want Saavik being a traitor.

Then they should have gotten the other Saavik.

Not good looking enough.

I've been working a lot lately.

Time is the fire in which we all burn.

Find the survivors of Section 31 and put them in charge of Star Fleet.

Gas the Ferengis

I think they must have known Kirk would surrender, and even if he didn't it would have been a short fight considering the cloaked ship nearby.

As in lazy? Yes I am. If I can get someone else to do the leg work then I will

kek, nice

I think it would best described as libertarian socialist

No, Q had a kid with another Q. Janeway was the godmother.
Also, fun fact, Q2 was played by John de Lancie's real son.

On the last few episodes of S4 of my first viewing of DS9, boys. What do I think?

...

>Garak gets exiled from his people
>Worf gets exiled from his people
>Quark gets exiled from his people
>Odo gets exiled from his people
I like DS9, but in season 4 they really went overboard with that whole "Island of Misfit Toys" theme.

Star Fleet was the military arm of the United Federation of Planets. So the 9.85 trillion or so weren't all part of the armada. I suppose it's not crazy to think that they might look for civilian aid or something, but a lot of the time they're at the edges of Federation space when something like that is a problem, so it's not unfathomable.

...

...

I find it hard to believe they could have any fun with poker without money.
It's not like they're Ferengi with latinum.

Its a slice of life anime but star trek.

Best ending or greatest ending of all the series?

youtu.be/ysa8sVGllQI

Better than those movies...

"All Good Things..." is one of the best things to ever happen on tv.

What did he mean by this?

>it's a "Rick Berman shits a brick" episode

USS Bashirak is exploring the universe.

well congratulations faggot OP

you've turned star trek threads on Cred Forums into /who/

generals (threads created without any clever idea, insight, troll, joke or reason) are the quickest way to turn threads into pure shit.

>OP couldn't think of something interesting

go fuckyourself and i hope your family dies tonight

t. newfriend

This shit has always come and gone in waves.

But user, this thread brought you here, and it's always a pleasure to see you, so this thread must not be so bad after all.

proof generals are pure shit

the thread isn't about anything so faggots like this are reaching for something to say

/jojo/ is the same exact way.
/got/ is the same way

350 posts of unfunny uninteresting nonsense.

I went to the shop and picked up a Dukat figure.
He did nothing wrong, guys.

How do you know?

Why are you looking inside /who/, /jojo/ and /got/ threads?

dem Troi baps :)

i read all threads because I'm not a fucking casual

and i don't say this because I dislike star trek

Cred Forums star trek threads are usually of high quality BECAUSE they're not generals

this is why LOTR threads are also good. people make them when they have an insight or create a new joke or something

there's some input

when was the last good GOT thread on Cred Forums?

i rest my fucking case

...

you sure are mad, are you far from the bones of you ancestors or something?

Look at this fucking loser, you go into /who/ and /jojo/ and /got/ threads, and you think that you're in a position to judge anyone else?

Get off your high horse before some jock pushes you off and steals your lunch money again, you dumb turbonerd.

it was literally a continuation of another thread that hit bump limit, chill the fuck out homo. Not every thread needs to be some clever insight that has never been thought of or said before, how many threads are actually fucking like that anyway? Maybe 0.2%?

Been rewatching TNG from the beginning, plan to watch DS9 and VOY as they happen. On season 2 now, The Royale episode. Feels like they're still really unsure what they want to do with Data at this point. In Measure of a Man he doesn't even know exactly why he wants to keep his medals, here he's smiling, talking about how "enjoyable" things are and of course pic related. Also, holy hell Pulaski is a piece of shit. Can't wait for Beverly to get back.

>I wish I was human
>geordie is my friend
>I miss tasha
>I tried to kill that collector because he killed my friend
>Q made me laugh
>I've been taken over by emotional beings, and retain the memories

>I do not understand what emotions are, I am incapable of experiencing emotion

>I tried to kill that collector because he killed my friend
To be fair, Fajo he would keep killing people. Data saw that Fajo was a continuing threat to sentient life, and made the call to kill him. It's well within his programming.

My wife and I are doing the same thing, about 10 episodes ahead of you. I hadn't watched TNG since the 90s, I had completely forgot how bad Pulaski is. She's literally worse than Wesley during season 2.

@sirpatstew was out of work and homeless before getting signed on to TNG. #TheDrumpfHead

yes to all questions

ITT: Little-known facts about actors.

TIL: When Marina Sirtis auditioned for the role of Macha Hernandez in "Phase II" she only had $11 dollars to her name. When the cast got their paychecks, the first thing that Denise Crosby bought was a car. Marina Sirtis bought a hot dinner.

Little known fact, Avery Brooks was injecting marijuanic cannabinoids for the entire duration of the filming of DS9. He was unaware he was on a television show.

Who has the best rack in Star Trek?

Rick Berman's secretary Christine.

Star Trek Generations is an amazing film.

His nig outs were all real.

Amazing that story got greenlit.

It's a great story. Fite me.

>And Its not his fault but, but realistically I think star fleet command would have replaced him because he became "tainted"

They actually tried, but the Bajorans made it clear that if Starfleet got rid of Sisko, they could kiss their access to the wormhole goodbye

nice post, heres a trophy pig

I was talking to my friend about it, we both agreed she's basically Bones with a vagina where the charm and wit should be.

That's pretty much how the entire fanbase feels about her.

Has anyone seen that episode of Star Trek where there's an alien who's unlike any previously known life forms but they're not sure how to talk to it? That's almost as good as the one where the robot tries to be human.

...

My dad loved Star Trek. I think he was watching The Movies before I was born.

And as I grew up I watched TNG with him. Then TNG movies. He was not a Trekkie. But I think he was the only one who watched anything from the franchise among his colleagues. Even so he still invited people to our house to watch TNG movies together.

As I went to college, and failed and became a shameful NEET, we watched VOY separately. Then I stopped watching the series but I think he went on watching them. Alone. Without anyone around sharing his hobby.

>>Who was the worst Star Trek Captain?
This is such an involved question, though, and it deserves pages of analysis. What are our parameters here? Is it about who worst holds true to the Starfleet ideals? The Starfleet laws? Is it the captain who puts their crew above their mission or their mission above their crew? Is it about the least intelligent captain? The least experienced?
