I liked it. Got a bit too Tim Burton-y towards the end and SLJ was a lousy villain but overall it was a sweet little movie. It has some nice humour and action, but also a lot of heart which surprised me. Apart from some shoddy CG in places, Id say its one of Burton's better films of late

The potential for a great Burton movie was there but disjointed cuts and garbage script makes it hard to do a true Burton film.

I thought it was terrible but mainly because Asa can't act. Every other child actor was fine. Sam Jackson was hilariously awful. Judi Dench was on screen for 45 seconds and 3 lines. The medusa twins should have been used more. Picking your grandpa over a literal 10/10 qt was the biggest plot hole I've ever seen.

How was the boat seaworthy, able to be steered, and able to pull right up along the dock? At best they could have rammed it into the beach. I feel like there were a ton of head scratching issues. I saw the movie a few hours ago and have already forgotten much of it.

I thought Dark Shadows was really underrated. I dug the humour and look. Falls apart towards the end though.
