You're Joey but without the women. Chandler has a level of intelligence to his humor that you don't understand. Your pre school level "jokes" may qualify as a form of humor, but it is not of the class it takes to be a Chandler.

They were too stupid to understand his humor. He scared them because he was so intellectually superior to them, and they attacked him to try to bring him down to their level.

Ross got Rachel and both are still good looking, while Chandler and Monica are in JUST mode.

To be honest I don't really mesh with Chandlers usually. They're too surface level, always putting up a quippy front hiding a deep insecurity. You can never be serious or real with them, and it gets tiring and boring.

Exactly. Ross may be a bit sadsack occasionally but he basically hangs in there and will be a good dad. Chandler seems really fucked up, like he's going to eventually spiral into serious depression or worse and check out.

I feel like Chandler was more depressing and insecure early in the show and he got unflanderized.

At the end he's chill glasses and sweater dad bro man. He doesn't do anything edgy anymore after like season 6.

Heh. Yeah I suppose he did kind of stabilize and learn to love himself and life a bit.

He always had bad self esteem but they started playing up stuff like the other friends getting annoyed at him more often and he became the butt of all the jokes.
I don't know why the others acted like he was the worst friend, Joey/Phoebe became the worst friend by the end.

It's kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy thing. If someone plays it all self-depreciating and like they bad luck, people will start unconsciously treating them that way.
