the only movies i know him from are jurassic park and event horizon. he's in a whole bunch of movies and tv shows that i've never watched

An enjoyable character actor. I wonder if his wine's any good.

Very nice chap.

Great actor. Just finished In The Mouth of Madness.

HE'S NOT INSANE!

He needs to come back for the next Jurassic World movie

He's a pretty cool guy. Seen him in Jurassic park, peaky blinders, in the mouth of madness and event horizon

he was in escape plan with arnold and stallone

too much botox

He was a great Damien.

Absolutely based. Looked old as fuck in the Sleeping Dogs dvd extras, I thought he was on the way out or something but he's come back strong.

IAN FREEZE

Always enjoy seeing him in a movie. Just one of those actors I really like for no specific reason. Almost like he's an uncle of mine so it's exciting to see him on screen. I must have imprinted on him as a young child watching Jurassic Park or something

>Also dig that mischievous smile

>he's in a whole bunch of movies and tv shows that i've never watched
Go watch them, stupid.

I wish he had more villainous roles, he was the best thing in Event Horizon.

YES! one of my favorites He's in.

> mfw I didn't even recognize him in hunt for the wilder people

see

>he doesn't know Mouth of Madness

>I wonder if his wine's any good.
tHATS CLEARLY AN EUPHANISM AND YOU, SIR, ARE A GHEY.

dad actor

>ctrlf - lamb
>no results

he's excellent in everything he's in

if the story gets in the ballpark of something I'd like and he's in it

i'll watch it

VILE

>he doesnt know Possession

i cant tell if his accent in peaky blinders is good or not.

i like him either way tho, always happy to see him in things

I liked him a lot as a kid in Jurassic Park since it was one of my favorite movies but it wasn't until I watched In The Mouth Of Madness and Event Horizon that I realized just what a based actor he is.

He deserves more roles desu, he should come back in the next JP movie

He actually likes to be in these smaller b movies

Allen!

I liked him in Possession. youtube.com/watch?v=VZ-h0MKvr8E

sam neil is a fucking god if you say otherwise youre a beta numale cuck

I actually can't either. Any potatoniggers around to answer?

he was amazing in the Tudors

well that webm truly is the stuff of purest existential horror.

He owns a winery. Idiot.

fucking based. he was the best thing out of peaky blinders.

Merlin anyone?

But Sam is awesome. I looked up to him more in Jurassic Park than any role Arnold or Stalone was in as a kid.

Right?

Great movie

Based, he's cooler than Harrison Ford.

I'm interested to see what he does in Thor 3

just learned hes a kiwi and couldnt believe it

>Thoughts on him?

Pure awesomeness, has that 'presence' which makes anything he says believable

You guys should watch the hunt for the wilderpeople.

Reilly Ace Of Spies is his masterwork

He was one of the three Kiwi actors in our movies during the 70s

I know!
Sam paid for a whole slew of adverts advocating the eating of meat. He'd come out, say how great eating meat is and then do a little dance. Dude is based as fuck.

youtube.com/watch?v=eBhdqrdN4zg

Me and my brother have this memory of him starring in a version/adaptation of The Shining, but instead of an axe, a mallet.

I know there's another version, but I fucking swear that this was a thing. Anyone else have a vague memory of this?

Merlin was legiiiitttttt

>49 posts
>not a single bad word about him
Amazing

Did I ever tell you my favorite color was blue?

...

i watched this so many times when i was just a boi

My thoughts exactly. It's instantly:
>Hey! Sam Neill! I like that guy.
Or bad guy roles:
>Wuuu! What is that old chap up to this time?

Neill does that sweating and panicking really well. Big acting but not too over the top.

>give me a ping vashili
>one ping only pleash

YOU CAN'T LAND ON THIS ISLAND

Capt. Vasili Borodin: I will live in Montana. And I will marry a round American woman and raise rabbits, and she will cook them for me. And I will have a pickup truck... maybe even a "recreational vehicle." And drive from state to state. Do they let you do that?

Captain Ramius: I suppose.

Capt. Vasili Borodin: No papers?

Captain Ramius: No papers, state to state.

Capt. Vasili Borodin: Well then, in winter I will live in... Arizona. Actually, I think I will need two wives.

Captain Ramius: Oh, at least.

>The only good thing
Fixed

He was a great general Lafayette

Possession was his best role.

He plays a very surprising amount of villains, which throws most people off since most know him first as Dr. Grant

This, so many amazing actors in that show. Like Peter O'Toole as the Pope.
Just a pity Henry VIII himself got the most retarded casting choice in history.

best movie 2016

Holy shit I thought it was Richard Dawkins

Where we're going, we don't need eyes to see

>mfw he refused to be James Bond in the 80s.
dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2950249/Sam-Neill-reveals-pushed-audition-James-Bond-role-eighties.html

Where the hell do you get a copy of that movie?

Also he's cool in The Dish

Is he our guy?

holy shit this
desu he needs more roles

Severely underrated actor. He gives a solid performance in everything he's in.

ERIC

One of these days.

This guy gets it.

His performance in Peaky Blinders is fucking based.

He sucked my dick in a back alley.

ELLIE THE DOOR LOCKS

>Severely underrated
I don't think anyone underrates him user, see this thread for example

Kill yourself you fucking piece of shit.

Best of Neill:

>Possession
>In the mouth of madness
>Event horizon
>Jurasdic Park
>Merlin
>And then there were none

>Merlin
>There's no more. It's the end of magic.

youtube.com/watch?v=fn4b5WBk3e8

Lol faggot.

I probably should have made myself clearer, I meant underrated in the sense that he didn't really do big budget blockbusters aside from Jurassic Park.

>No Dead Calm

Way to fail, failfag.

he made the first season really comfy

>Lol

You're a dumb cunt

a very good actor, though it's kinda cringey to see him star as the bad guy. Also that time he played the scheming cardinal in the The Tudors and when he said "you stupid cunt" it's just... off. I will always remember him as the good-hearted but introverted alan grant, and alan grant wouldn't say something like that

I was going to bring up Strangerland but on searching it to remember the exact name I realise the guy who I thought was Sam Neil was actually Hugo Weaving.

>not being able to seperate an actor from previously played characters
Spoken like a true pleb.

Based Uncle Hec

t. underage fag

fucking a-list cast, downloading now

When I was a kid I thought Pierce Brosnan and Sam Neil were the same person

kino

what an interesting post, thanks for posting it

cringey post faggot

kek

He was good as Sea MacGyver.

Poor man's squashed Hugo Weaving.

Who is better: bad guy Sam Neil or protective father figure good guy Sam Neil?

I don't watch the show but from what I hear, he plays a Northern Irishman, in which case his accent should be perfect since he's Northern Irish himself.

He is not

I see your point, but try to see him as the actor he resally is. Liike this guy said

Good guy Sam by far. Rubs the nostalgia boner the right way

He's from Omagh in County Tyrone. Lived there for like 10 years.

They don't look taht much alike. Thinking

The Hunter was great

He was great in Little Fish in probably his most underappreciated role but he really sold that character in a way not many could.

I watched that the other day. It was fantastic.

One of the better Simpsons Guest Stars for the great subtleness of his performance.

Fun fact, apparently he replaced Harrison Ford in Jurassic Park

Apparently he's in that new kiwi movie about the child kidnapper...forget what it's called.

Any good?

Hunt for the Wilderpeople? It's great. It's not about a child kidnapper.

Yeah, that's the one. Something about a kid being taken though, isn't it.

Kid runs away with foster parent, local population assumes kidnapping.

yeah, i misunderstanding, where it all works out in the end, though a dog dies

He'll always be merlin to me.

He was the villain in this. A pretty good vampire movie.

>underrated because he doesnt do big budget blockbusters
Ahhh yes, making filthy rich jews richer, the universally agreed-upon indicator of being a successful and esteemed actor.

Would be perfect for a biopic of Richard Dawkins.

...

>light hearted quirky comedy
>suddenly really serious dramatic moment
>back to light hearted quirky comedy

>Sam Neil
>Ethan Hawke
>Willem Dafoe
>dat cold vamp aesthetic
Pure fucking kino.

I was going to say bad guy but I'd really trust my life to any good guy he plays.

Comfy tier actor.

It's superduper comfy kino

Riley ace of shoes is true TV kino

No mention of him in Bicentennial Man. Love that movie.

*Spies woops

It's about a molesterer

What's an Andrew?

I would like to eat the sea bass in his company

>130 posts
>not a bad thing about him

Sometimes you're based, Cred Forums

I would eat sea bass out of his ass.

Sam Neill is one of those actors it's impossible to dislike.

Fuck yeah the Merlin miniseries was the shit.

>Just finished In The Mouth of Madness.
don't stick your dick in crazy

Our guy

Best Simpsons guest star

If you haven't watched it before be warned it aged horribly

kino
