A two star movie that thinks it's a four star movie. Virgin Suicides is another decent two that thinks it's four.

VS is floated by it's commentary but falls on it's absurd ending that is too much depressing art piece to be coherent with the story created. The girls all kill themselves because their mother makes them into shut in's but their suicide is really supposed to represent the death of fantasy and transition into reality/adulthood.

DD is all art piece and doesn't teach any great lesson or seem to have a point beyond "the world is sad." DD is another case of a whole lot of work and it still said nothing.
