How will it end?

How will it end?
How should it end?

Clip show for both

With like, a 30-70 ratio of golden age to season 20+

A Treehouse of Horror where a cel-animated version of the Simpsons with superior animation breaks into the house at night and murders the clunky digital Simpsons in their sleep and then they kill themselves.

>le simbly epin reddit idea where they get a show made about them and the final scene is them rushing to the couch to watch the show made about them meme.

>How will it end?
It won't.

>How should it end?

That's actually brilliant though.

Shut up Dan Harmon

To be fair it actually is a pretty good idea, it just always gets posted whenever the end of The Simpsons is posted about.

The writers would never actually do something like that, though. It'll end with a whimper.

the most likely would probably be some super safe melodramatic shit with the family directly addressing and saying goodbye to the audience at the end followed by a slide show of the simpsons through season one to its end while 'close to you' plays in the background.

or Matt and other members of the original staff would return and somehow create an amazing authentic last episode of the simpsons

Either those or the start of a Simpsons 'cinematic universe'

>How will it end?

In fire.

Dead Bart

Like this.

Homer finally takes all his frustration out on his family and shoots every single one of them, pets included. Then proceedes to an hero.
That's the only redeemable ending considering what they've become.

>implying it wouldnt end with some retarded stupid gay scene of all the characters holding hands and singing something like "ALWAYS LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE OF LIFE!" that transitions into an emotional orchestra version of the simpsons as the camera zooms out into space to show a contilation that looks like a simpsons version of Matt smiling and it says something like "Thank you for 47 years of friendship"

How about a crazy wedding where homer jumps the shark and marge becomes a robot?

I'm still surprised they let this one go through, considering how it dissects the current show.

gay Grandpa

I always wanted a spinoff called "Springfield" about all the characters instead.

homer just fuckin dies

Or Moe gets a cellphone. Has Bart ever owned a bear?

>it dissects the current show
What did he mean by this?

It's about as "brilliant" as that Breaking Bad ending where Hal from MitM wakes up from his dream that was spewed on reddit

They'll never stop the Simpsons! Have no fear they have stories for years!

Nuclear meltdown that levels springfield and everyone in it

>For the final season we managed to gather most of the writing staff we had in the 1990s, I think these new scripts really have the feel of those classic era episodes,a few of the scripts in particular are stuff we'd wanted to do back then but for whatever reason didn't happen.
>To be honest I think the Simpsons has really lost it's way in the past, but people are really going to be surprised by this final season.

You literally are going to have to wait until there's a nuclear Holocaust, visual mediums like television and film are wiped from existence, or the sun to explode.

My idea:
Homer has enough dirt on Mr Burns to send him away for the rest of his life accidentally walking in on him in a suspicious meeting selling nuclear material to America's enemies. He has the choice of keeping shut or going on the run like his hippie mother, he chooses to go on the run, just as he is about too Santa's Little Helper falls sick and dies. After burying him in the backyard, Homer is reunited with Karl, the ambiguous gay guy from the early seasons, who declares it is pretty noble task of what he is going to do but mentions there is an easier way than going on the run. Mr Burns calls out Karl's bluff but ends up going to prison anyway, he hands over the plant to Homer and Karl to run who become the new Mr Burns and Smithers. Burns mentions he has always been jealous of Homer's love for his family and demands his last wish be to watch a children's play at Springfield Elementary before he is sent away for good, he is there but in restraints watching. Suddenly the lights go out and Mr Burns along with Smithers are know where to be seen. END

That's indeed a reddit idea

HEY I was gonna post that

>The Simpsons
>Ending

It'll finally get canceled on a whim when Fox decides it's not making them enough money. Then the writers will try to write up some half-assed ending and rush it out.

The final episode will be an hour long, and it'll be full of outrageous shit. Marge will be cuckolding Homer with every single celebrity guest that's ever been on the show (Even the dead ones), with the entire episode just being Marge getting fucked one by one while Homer just sits in the corner, crying as he jerks off and eats a sandwich.

The B-plot will be Lisa becoming transgender, then kicking Bart in the balls nonstop. No cutaways or anything, it's literally just Lester (FtM Lisa) kicking Bart in the balls while screaming about he needs to check his cis white male privilege. Every single person in Springfield will take her side, especially the celebrity guests who are fucking Marge.

It ends with the Simpsons insulting its viewers for being such fucking idiots for continuing to keep them on the air, then they all have an incestuous orgy right in the middle of the living room before vomitting all over each other and slicing their throats. Dr Nick pokes his head in and says "BYE EVERYBODY!", because "LOL REMEMBER WHEN THAT JOKE WAS RELEVANT? XD". Also, he's getting raped by Moe right outside the Simpsons house.

The next 40 minutes are just the writers giving up: videos of them shitting on each other, having a huge orgy while covered in shit, footage of people getting shot in the head, footage of babies being skinned alive and fucked, etc. You name it, they have it all. The final 10 minutes are just Matt Groening high as balls on every drug imaginable, screaming into the camera about how much he hates his life before pulling out a shotgun and blowing his fucking brains out all over the wall. Then it ends, with no credits, context or anything.

It'll end up being so viewed and talked about, that it renews The Simpsons for another 10 seasons.

Hour long episode where homer gets cancer or something and is in his final days of life.

Picture Homer having flashbacks of touching moments in the series and his life throughout the episode while having one last moment with most the people he knows. Even acknowledgeing that Ned is his best friend...they hug and ned says to him "ill be praying for you neighborino"

The final few minutes will be his funeral where bart and lisa give speeches on how much they miss him and that they never got the chance to tell him how much they love and appreciate him. With marge in the background crying holding maggie in her arms.

Final scene is Maggie putting her pacifier on the coffin with tears in her eyes and saying the words "I love you..." while it fades up and out into the clouds...

Im going to miss you homer, even though these last couple of seasons have been rough you mean everything to me and your fans. You werent just a cartoon character. You were a real person and you changed our lives..it will be sad to see you sit on that couch one last time.

>It'll end up being so viewed and talked about, that it renews The Simpsons for another 10 seasons.
lost

Kek, no. If Futurama ia any indication of how they would approach ending it, the finale will have some subtle story wrap ups and resolutions and do its best to be heartfelt. The ((actual)) Futurama ending was bittersweet and charming. Say what you will, but Matt has some of the best writers he could have gotten for both Simpsons and Futurama. It isnt gonna be a terrible ending like some of you faggots want it to be.

So then nothing at all from 11-19?

The twist is that they were in hell the whole time, forced to live the same day over and over again, each time getting even more stupid.

The eternal suffering.

Oh my god this is a great Hertzfeld send up

>47 years

Please God no.

>lisa gets an abortion
>dies in the process
>Marge goes into a deep depression
>Bart starts doing drugs
>homer eats to console himself, growing fatter and fatter
One Day Bart kills marge and homer, sparing maggie, then an heros

Final scene is maggie on the floor in blood, with moe discovering her, and holding her.

Is this the longest running show?

What the fuck was that? No seriously, what the FUCK was that?!

Simpsonskino

Not even close, m8. Coronation Street is a British soap opera which has been running for 56 years. Not sure if it counts being a soap an all, but that's still a disgustingly long time. This shit will literally never, ever end.

Grandpa gets becomes comatose, Homer keeps him alive on life support in order to cash in on his social security cheque. Lisa is appalled and implores him to let grandpa die gracefully. After a long speech on what a monster Homer is, he reveals to her that he really doesn't care about the money, the fact is he's realized that in grandpa's old age he's let their relationship deteriorate to the extent that it's no longer a good relationship gone bad, it's a bad relationship that started off well, and now he's just clinging to the notion that one day Grandpa will wake up it will get better again so he can end on their relationship on a high note, back like his childhood when Abe would take him out for frosty chocolate milkshakes just as he used to with Bart and Lisa. Lisa hugs him and tells him that while the frosty chocolate days are never coming back, he can still cherish them fondly, it's too late to end on a high note but pulling the plug now is the best ending that Grandpa's going to get, it's all down hill from here. Homer gives in and signs the paper work the next day. Before the plug is pulled Homer apologizes to Grandpa for the horrible way he treated him in the last few years.

>9000 episodes

it won't

is it wrong I like this....

they already ended it.

>le shock factor

No
