Luke's actor couldnt sell the action scenes for shit, that might actually be the directors fault though , but still , i understand he doesnt need to make a big effort and grunt to knock out a guy , but cmon sell me something, he doesnt even display any emotion while punching walls.

Btw , couldnt he "tear" into the wall , make it more dynamic? not only punch it but bullrush it with your shoulder pull bricks flying into the other walls etc (talking about the prison escape scene mainly).

But then again , the actor couldnt really display emotions in the regular scenes , i get that when you cast a guy for the phisyche he might not have Al Pacino's acting chops , but cmon...

No sense of risk for the whole show, 99% of the times he was attacked he was in zero harm and when he actually gets weakened we get a road trip so he can go back to being invulnerable.

I hope whoever thought Diamondback was the villain this show needed lost his job, hell i want about half the people that worked in that show to lose their jobs.

Beyond the gratuitous fucking and Luke Cage I found Kilgrave to be the only other aspect of Jessica Jones that made the show worth watching. For the first quarter of the season. I couldn't finish because Jessica Jones has superpowers but can't tank three electrical probes so Kilgrave escapes in the stupidest manner ever conceived on television. Once I was told he eludes capture later on in the season in a similarly retarded fashion I dropped it. Too much spinning it's fucking wheels in place and not going anywhere. I hope they bring on a competent director next season.

Yeah, if they reduced the seasons a bit then there wouldn't be a great need to highlight a bunch of teritary characters that no one gives a fuck about. Jessica Jones should have been looking up Kilgrave for the bulk of the episodes---not devoting time to taking other cases in order to establish that she is a private eye and that there's an undercurrent of fear and prejudice against metahumans because of the innocents lost whenever The Avengers rear their head. i mean it's an interesting notion but the execution was shit. The crackhead being found out that he's the one taking pictures of Jessica should've been discovered an episode later not two-three down the fucking pipe because there's nothing for Jessica to do at that point but sit around and mean mug at the fucking camera.

It makes sense. The Avengers pop up every now and again and, unlock Iron Man or Captain America or Black Widow, none of them have been particularly forward. Thor nor Banner nor Ant-Man are going to hold press conferences to go into detail about their abilities and backstories and Tony, despite coming out as Iron Man, has yet to hold a meeting and explain exactly what "the Avengers" are and who they are. In that sense, while it's hokey as fuck, going "that hammer nigger" or "that green faggot" makes sense.

What I don't like is that while the Netflix shows constantly reference the Marvel franchise we see nothing in the actual films to allude to the presence of the Netflix heroes. I know they're operating at the very definition of street level so their escapades would be a bit under the radar but still. A taxi cab that's advertising Nelson & Murdock or discarded issues of the Daily Bugle or newspaper clipping for Jessica Jones' shitty practice or line about how issues in Harlem seemingly fix themselves because of street justice. Something, man. It's the same complaint that Chloe Benet from Agents of Shit makes all the time. There's little to no recognition the other way.

Think the binge release model compounds this. Pacing issues episode to episode. It's more like 13 hours of footage cut up into bits than each episode being a coherent entity in of itself.

Only really looking forward to Punisher and Defenders. With four main characters in Defenders, I hope there's very little filler.

Apart from Punisher scenes in Season 2 of DD and most of Season 1 of DD, it's all been fairly long and exhaustive. This is why I like movies better, they have less time and have to make it as good as some 10+ hour series.
