Does any movie exist that has that dark, helpless vibe you get from Dark Souls/Bloodborne? It doesn't have to be a fantasy setting, even Blade Runner has that bleak, rain soaked feeling where there is a horrible secret hidden beneath the surface. Bonus points if it has a soundtrack like this. youtube.com/watch?v=mLBybw-IJ5U

How did Bloodborne become so sublime ?

Art design.
It has the best art design of any game in the past 10 years.

Hard to be God

The architecture itself is incredibly designed.

Witcher 3 is better

sorta.
Pretty crummy movie. Read the Right Hand of Doom compendium, and some Conan stuff instead.

Seventh Seal

Witcher 3's architecture is boring dealwithit.

The Road is all about bleakness and despair. The Souls games all have the aspect of "just don't give up motherfucker" that make it less dark though.

OP i'm no anime fag but watch angel's egg.

Its only around an hour long and the vibe is dark as fuck. There's hardly any dialogue but it's very interesting to watch. Bloodborne is my favorite 'modern' game by far and the atmosphere on this is similar.
