Yes it will. We get the Harley motorbike scene which should not have been cut from the theatrical.
The theatrical version is so badly edited and doesnt make sense with Harley aiming the gun at Joker's head but the extended cut explains why.

I watched it again and realized it takes exactly half the movie for the Suicide Squad to actually get into the city.
