AUTHENTIC ZOMBIES WERE USED IN "DAY OF THE DEAD" (1985).

Dafoe's interrogation scene in American Psycho was filmed three times- as if he was certain, uncertain, and doubtful of Bateman's guilt- and the footage was cut together in the final version of the film.

Fun fact:

Eva Longoria visits me often and lets me tongue punch her starfish....

In my dreams.

After a long siege(around three years), Odoacer, the man who deposed the last Western Roman Emperor, was forced to surrender the city of Ravenna to Theodoric's army, sent by the Eastern Roman Emperor Zeno.
To seal the piece, Theodoric invite Odoacer to a dinner at the "Ad Laurentum" palace(now destroyed). During the banquet, Theodoric drew his sword and stabbed him in the collarbone, directly piercing Odoacer's heart; then it's said that the King of the Ostroghots exclaimed "This guy surely had no bones".

On the 18th October 1016, a dynamic and able English king(Edmund ironside- who had reigned for only a few months) who was riding on the crest of battle-victories, and a dangerous but equally capable invader and challenger to the English crown (Canute- leading a Danish army), fought a brutal, all-day battle at Ashingdon.

"The flower of the English" were eventually killed at this disastrous battle(except the sly earl Edric, who betrayed Edmund during this battle by sloping off with his Mercians, but he was executed by Canute in 1017), which saw Canute become king. Anglo-Saxon England seemed doomed. He had a deal with Edmund to co-rule England, but the latter died weeks later(wounds/assassination?)

Very nearly 50yrs to the day later(on 14th October, 1066), a very similar scenario developed again-

A dynamic and able warrior-king (Harold- who had only reigned for a few months- in 1066)- riding on the crest of a fantastic victory(Stamford Bridge)also faced a dangerous and very militarily-capable invader and challenger to the throne(duke William).

The two armies(this time Norman & English) fought a similarly-violent and merciless all-day bruiser, this time at Hastings, which again saw "The flower of the English" eventually slaughtered. Again, the challenger became king, signalling the end of Anglo-Saxon England.

kino as fuck

When Matt LeBlanc auditioned for the role he only had $11 dollars to his name. When the cast got their paychecks, the first thing that Courteney Cox bought was a car. Matt LeBlanc bought a hot dinner.

In medieval times, a woman could get an annulment if her husband was proved to be impotent. in 'Medieval Lives' Terry Jones writes:

If the man failed to perform in the marriage bed, the wife was perfectly at liberty to go public about it. A twelfth-century manual advocates a physical examination of the man's genitals by 'wise matrons' who - presumably - knew how these things worked. Witnesses were then summoned to observe a full-blown road test of the under-performing member:

A man and a woman are to be placed together in one bed and wise women are to be summoned around the bed for many nights. And if the man's member is always found useless and as if dead, the couple are well able to be seperated.

That is, sadly, how we know about Walter de Fonte, a citizen of Canterbury in the thirteenth century. In 1292, his wife complained he was impotent. He was duly examined by 12 worthy women 'of good reputation and honest life' who testified that his 'virile member' was useless. What a way to enter history.

Wow, I didn't know that about Matt.

wow..
really makes you think

really makes u think

When Jean-Pierre Melville brought a copy of the script to Alain Delon, Delon asked him what the title was. When he was told the title was Le Samourai, Delon had Melville follow him to his bedroom, where there was only a leather couch and a samurai blade hanging on the wall.

Was it autism?

Well what did Matt do after the hot dinner? Buy blow and fuck hookers?

holy shit to be endowed with infamy is such a manner..

During rehearsals for Fight club, Brad Pitt and Edward Norton found out that they both hated the new Volkswagen Beetle with a passion, and for the scene where Tyler and The Narrator are hitting cars with baseball bats, Pitt and Norton insisted that one of the cars be a Beetle. As Norton explains on the DVD commentary, he hates the car because the Beetle was one of the primary symbols of 60s youth culture and freedom. However, the youth of the 60s had become the corporate bosses of the 90s, and had repackaged the symbol of their own youth, selling it to the youth of another generation as if it didn't mean anything. Both Norton and Pitt felt that this kind of corporate selling out was exactly what the film was railing against, hence the inclusion of the car; "It's a perfect example of the Baby Boomer generation marketing its youth culture to us. As if our happiness is going to come by buying the symbol of their youth movement, even with the little flower holder in the plastic molding. It's appalling to me. I hate it." However, Pitt is quoted on the DVD commentary as saying he has since had a change of heart about the new Beetle.

In Home Alone (1990), Joe Pesci plays both the policeman at the beginning of the movie, as well as Harry the burglar.

Fred Durst from Limp Bizkit directed two movies, one starring Jesse Eisenberg and the other Ice Cube
