The series finale of Person of Interest. For how much the show got jerked around by CBS, including giving it a short finale season, they wrapped the show up really well. It was almost a perfect ending.

Dexter season four finale (Trinity caught, but got Rita first). It's amazing how fast the show went to shit immediately after that. There were definitely some cracks showing in Season 3, but I thought it was just because the previous season (Doakes, hunt for Bay Harbor Butcher, etc.) and when Lithgow popped up in season 4 with one of the best portrayals if a 'villian' in television history, I never would have believed that show would become the laughingstock it ended up as.

I'd give an honorable mention to Boardwalk Empire's season 3 premiere. I thought the show was dead after Jimmy died, but with the introduction of Gyp, Harrow blasting William Forsythe's character, and everything else that went in in that episode, it was clear that there would be no immediate drop-off (that would come in season 4).
