Witcher adaptation

I've always had an idea for a The Wire-esque show called "Mass Effect: Citadel"

Each season would focus on a different character(s) that live and work on the Citadel

>one season about a C-Sec officer
>one about a young rising ambassador
>one about red sand dealers/smugglers
>one about duct rats
etc.

there would be some crossovers/cameos, but nothing that would get in the way of the season's story. Absolutely no showing of Shepard (maybe a vague mention)

Moby Dick

Same story, Geralt as the protag?

Or something in the same universe

Forgot to say that Drew Karpyshyn would write it

Curb, but for goyim.

Dune, but actually good

rome

>15 yo sluts

Something like Vinyl (RIP I loved you) but without continuity, depicting interesting events or stories in the music industry of varied time periods.

This or something similar based on Miami's 80's cocaine trade

I'm actually surprised someone didn't do it yet

4chanworld

so you and me are the only people who liked Vinyl... I'm still sad the show got cancelled

I like this

carnivale season 3

TV remake of The Blues Brothers. As a semi-scripted reality show written by Marc Guggenheim, directed by Paul Feig, and starring Amy Schumer and Miley Cyrus.

Dark tower that's a faithful adaptation.

A movie about DAW, BDH, and Christina Hendricks living as incestuous sisters, directed by Belladonna.

>When junior manager Frank Dominio is suddenly demoted and then fired, it seems there was more than a grain of truth to his persecution fantasies. But as he prepares to even the score with those responsible for his demise, he unwittingly finds an ally in a dark and malevolent force that grants him supernatural powers. Frank takes his revenge in the most ghastly ways imaginable—but there will be a terrible price to pay once his work is done. This tale of corporate horror and demonic retribution will strike a chord with anyone who has ever been disgruntled at work.

Director: Nicolas Winding Refn
Michael Fassbender as Frank Dominio
Jon Hamm as his boss, Richard
Filmed on location at Detroit

I'd do a talkshow where I interview my waifus and then fuck them on camera

Don't worry it's not porn, its HBO

cyberpunk live action speed racer, setting something like blade runner. working his way up starting on underground street races, working on his own car, eventually making it big.

this

New Robocop series.

Punisher MAX

Directed by David Fincher

Ray Stevenson as Frank
Terry Crews as Barracuda
Ali Larter as Kathryn O'Brien

Not sure about the rest of the cast

Forever sad, I loved the show and the covers.
Cadillac Records or Get on Up feel a lot like it, you should check them out.

make a show about building a one way time machine in complete secrecy. the season 1 finale is it working, me going through it with 400 million dollars, and the time machine destroys itself and all knowledge of it. season 2 is me funding carnivale, season 3 is me funding rome, and season 4 is me funding deadwood.

A show based on the fantasy book series A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin. I get some stupid faggots to direct it but actually have a few great actors in it mixed with literal who's.

What could possibly go wrong?

Dredd TV series starring Urban

Wheel of time

sounds like the videogame the darkness.

Starship Troopers book adaptation but in German just because I think that would be cool.

10 part mini series.

Vibe: Das Boot in Space. Orbital shock trooper edition.

It is a TV version remake of The Blair Witch Project. It is written and directed by me.

The premise is the same as the movie; it is still found footage. The series is 7 episodes long, and each episode shows exactly a day in the story. The plot is exactly the same as the movie: in the 7th episode a guy disappears, and the group finds the abandoned house.

The series stars a cast of unknown actors recruited via open audition.

Mini series based on honor harrington

I would do a series on one of David Gemmell's books, maybe the Dark Prince duology, or Trojan War series, I would also use the actors for Pullo and Vorenus in some capacity.

Or go a different direction with Hawk Eternal/Iron Hand's daughter, or maybe one of the stand alone stories.

Gemmell has a lot of great historical fiction styled stories.

Grand Theft Auto, each season taking place in the three main cities, and everything is connected through storylines and characters

Every episode starts with a different person who died alone in their house, undiscovered for days after their death.

Then, we go back in time to show the events that led to this person dying alone.

Gritty, realistic Animorphs series, but the characters are aged up a bit. Practical effects are used for most of the aliens.

charlie heaton is speed racer
adam driver is racer x
havent really though of the rest of the cast

show about a guy shitposting on an anonymous image board

All these fucking reboots and remakes ITT

Die.

Yeah, I guess I can see the similarities. Only the "evil force" that gives Frank powers is not a character, a being, or even something sentient. It's also not evil per se, it's some sort of black smoke that exists at the core of everything and Frank can manipulate it. And each time he does he sees the darkness growing, so he realizes he'll only be able to kill the seven people he's after, then he'll be entirely consumed.

I think I'd make for a pretty good thriller. One very dark in tone and with a ridiculously bleak ending.

Mad Max with Mel and has a new storyline with different characters (other than max of course) with every episode (or maybe season)

Remake of the Nanny

Good taste.

I don't think anybody here could create an original TV show without it being shit

Mad Max mini series with Tom Hardy.
Written and directed by George Miller.

I've actually started to reread the series. Despite them being written for middle schoolers, they're fucking heavy. In the third book Tobias tries to kill himself.

Doesn't matter. As long as it's not based on a movie and/or comic books.

There are plenty of other options to make a story other than copy-paste. If it's shit, too bad, but there's always an audience out there.

Can I upgrade the premise to no constraints whatsoever?

If so I'd make softcore CP series in the Saturday early evening slot.

(((They're))) way ahead of you, user.

>No budget constraints

Well shit, I'd probably just Adam Sandler it and get me and my bros a few hundred million dollars for a shit product and minimal effort.

But if I'm making a show that I want to be quality I make a multi-season arc and timeline re-imagining of Eternal Darkness directed by Cary Joji Fukunawa, starring Cate Blanchett and Mel Gibson.

>Eternal Darkness
Fucking nice.

Based on the animated series Legends of the Galactic Heroes...

Live action LOGH. It's perfect, democracy vs autocracy in this climate? It could be like BSG met The Wire.

Berserk the live action TV show. Can't believe no ones suggested it yet.

Goddamn it that game is so fucking good. I stopped playing video games years ago but I still pick that one up and give it a playthrough every year.

A series about Adolf Hitler's war on the Judeo-Bolsheviks.

Hereticus: Warhammer 40k

A grizzled Inquisitor and his loyal associates hunt down the forces of chaos throughout the Empirium and beyond.

Picture this:
A series where a middle-aged, depressed Italian-American man from New Jersey has trouble balancing life between his family and his other Family... For he is also a the boss of a crime family. It would show both his home life and his crime life.
He would also go to a therapist, for more character depth, where we can explore his personality and motives. What do you think?

Sounds awful. It would never work.

Some sci fi shit. Very political right leaning serie with space exploration and conflicts between earth and colonies. I don't care about actors really. Just take some that can act ok at least

good choice

Created by Neal Blomkamp.

These two. Start them during Fall so we get comfy spooks during this time of year too.

It's already been made. It's called The Expanse.

Hard Sci fi also. And the "bad guy" is space version of Kurtz from heart of darkness

You know that law where if a robber gets shot and killed by the homeowner, all the robbers are accomplices in the murder? Now apply that to the crime of kidnapping and anal rape.

8 episode miniseries

Astro City

Anthology adapting the series along with original ideas. Each season will have a certain theme and characters will come and go as needed.

oh, that is awesome. How did I miss that. Thanks for the tips

a series based on my life

featuring
multiple masturbation scenes
many shots of me laughing at my computer
binge drinking in solitude

Will there be door closing kino?

10 episode Band of Brothers/The Pacific style miniseries covering the Korean War.

Hey, that's MY life story you thief.

I bring back the full cast out of cryosleep for Stargate Universe.

Or this.

I'd bring this back

Earthquake girl for life.

That will never work.

Dresden Files

A decent, loyal adaptation though, not that shitty scifi channel one.

I want to see this on tv

THIS GUY KNOWS

Assgoblins of Auschwitz adaptation. With Danny deVitto

Fallout would be a sick show.Do something kinda like game of thrones with diff point of views to show all the factions and whats going on in the wasteland

JAWS - The Series

>first season is the 1916 Matawan Creek attacks
>second season is the Indianapolis story with young Quint
>third season is a proper sequel, maybe a serious version of the Jaws: 3, People: 0 project

would still do the Matawan one without the brand if Universal was a bitch with the rights

A porno where i fuck endless amounts of hot bitches

A multi hour documentary about a person who was wrongly convicted of a crime. I'd make tons and tons of websites calling them innocent and show fake evidence in the documentary, then about a week after Tumblr and every other mongoloid factory on the internet had been arguing how innocent they were and getting butthurt I'd release a follow up with the person confessing and admitting they only said they didn't do it because I paid them a bunch of money and they were already serving life anyway. Just to prove how easily swayed these lemmings who watch obviously skewed documentaries like Making A Murderer and think they know everything about a criminal case and ask for people to be set free are. Not only would it be huge and have massive ratings, it would hopefully get some of these people to realize that a "documentary" isn't a valid source of criminal evidence.

"Cornering the Dorner", starring Terry Crews as Chris Dorner.

Either Wheel of Time or The Dresden Files
I can't choose

Dune
40K
Red Mars Trilogy

Who would you even cast as Yang and Reinhard?

Ok that makes 3 of us
Let's cast it

Karl Urban as Harry
James Marsters voices Bob

idiot

A Hotline Miami adaption

Can the shark scream and will the final battle be an old housewife killing the screaming shark with a boat stern? That's the only way I'm giving my stamp of approval.

so drive, the mini series?

Found the STEVEN AVERY DINDU NUFFIN GET BRENDEN DASSEY TO DA WRASSLE MATCH DEY GOOD BOIZ internet defense force. Suckstart a shotgun.

How so? Do you actually think these docs that are made by tumblr lesbians are giving you the whole story too? Are you fucking retarded?

But better. HM1 might be a short season, but season 2 would need a whole season. Might have to cut out a character or two like Jake to make the plot a bit more coherent for plebs. But the action would be top tier, like John Wicke

>screaming shark

sure you meant roaring, at least kick that dead horse with the proper boots on

Came here to say this

Live action version of Steel Ball Run

to sum it up and make it as simple as anything, its a young bachelor who fucks his milfy coworker. it would end not so simple, leaving him single and with her family collapsing. easy to watch but i would jam in a lot of personal experience and experimentation with scenes, kinda magical realism. fucked an older woman, married. did not turn out well.

All the money I can ever wish for?
Mini series of Dune, get Jodorowsky to helm that shit
More realistic?
Monster live action adaptation

has there been any update on the HBO Monster series?

A drama with a black transgender lead named Thunder that is in a wheelchair and time travels back to during the Holocaust with xer trusted brown female girlfriend of indeterminate race and frees all the Jews. We'll call it Rolling Thunder.

Jake Gyllenhaal as Harry Dresden
Tim Curry as Bob's voice (practical effects or cg for the skull)
Yvonne Strahovski as Karrin Murphy
Jack Huston as Thomas Raith
Kiernen Shipka as Molly Carpenter
Jon Hamm as Michael Carpenter
Ana de la Guerra as Susan Rodriguez
Cate Blanchett as Mab
Amber Heard as Maeve

none whatsoever
Del Toro has about 200 projects in the works or whatever, pacific rim 2 included.
This will never happen i'm 99% sure
A fucking missed opportunity

Those books suck, hard.

I'm currently rereading it, fuck i want a Berserk tv show

Greenlit!

Nic Cage is a confirmed fan of the series
HBO gives you the greenlight for casting, but states you must choose one named role to cast Cage in
Who do you pick?

Mistborn is begging for a high budget TV adaptation. Greenlight Stormlight Archive at the same time and make Elantris and Warbreaker standalone movies.

Mac or Uriel

A drama examining the CIA's actions across the world from its beginnings after WWII to the modern era

lmao no, some things are better in a book or manga mode, imagine for example ANYTHING made by lovecraft

Sounds shit.

>CIA as an immortal agent righting wrongs and fighting the good fight through the ages, confronting Big Guys wherever they may rear their ugly heads
Fund it.

I don't want something high concept, afantasy, sci-fi, or historical show. I don't want something about war or crime or hospitals or political bullshit. I want something about ordinary, everyday life. I want something about people and their search for meaning and happiness. I want a proper, worthy successor to Six Feet Under.

So I have no fucking clue.

A show about a young man that finds out he can magically project his feces into other peoples bums and a up and coming scientist who is looking to win her first emmy, tries to solve the mystery of the ancient evil monkeys who gave him these powers.

>checked

but lovecraft was "undescribable horror"

in Berserk we see it, we know what it looks like and it could look awesome on screen

I'd unironically watch and love something like an all female sequel to the Blues Brothers. Just do it right, and make them huge fans of the original Brothers. They call themselves the Soul Sisters and are raising money for some feelsy cause or some shit. Elwood's chemo therapy. A statue for Jake.

indeed, but i feel it will be done with a crapload of cgi, instead of my personal favorite of practical effects, since they take too long and cost tons
If someone were to legit make it and it wouldn't look like a slightly less retarded fist of the north star, but more like a Rome combined with DnD, then yeah, I'd watch the fuck out of it

No lie I would watch that if it was played completely straight

>Achilles

>follows Achilles through his life starting with his birth and most of the fights
>it's shot like Spartacus
>lots of titties, fights , deaths
>Sean Bean plays Odysseus again
>Mel Gibson as Ajax
>Brendan Frashier as main commander of Achilles army
>Jennifer Lawrence as Briseis and literally just a fuck toy to Achilles with only side comments during episodes
>Achilles as random young kid growing up till adulthood then it's unjust'd Brad Pitt

Do I have a audience or has the Spatarucs style already passed?

6 episode miniseries based on Michael Crichton's Prey which has been in development hell for almost 20 years.

Jack Forman - Patrick Wilson
Julia Forman - Bryce Dallas Howard
Mae Chang - Constance Wu
Ricky - Sam Rockwell

Ridley Scott will be permitted to direct all 6 episodes on the condition that the adaption is extremely faithful to the source material.

A drama set in the Star Wars universe that focuses on Jabba's rise to power in the criminal underworld, with his lawyer as one of the main characters

if you mean the crappy blood effects from the first season, then i HOPE that's passed

>there's a graphic designer out there who got paid real money for creating that book cover

10 episodes of alan wake series
director: fincher
alan - jake gyllenhall
barry - jonah hill

plus a christmas episode based on american nightmare

A direct adaption true to the source material of either RE 1 or 2. Probably renamed biohazard to keep people from thinking it's related to the abomination that is anderson's films.

Rome 2

Exactly like the first Rome but with full penetration

It's a show about nothing.

ron perlman as nameless one
jim carrey as morte
schillinger as dakkon
some hot bitches as fallfromgrace and annah

it would be glorious

Softcore erotic series starring Bobby Lee about an Asian man with a freakish genetic anomaly that caused him to be born with Shane Diesel's penis.

Titled : "Cockasian"

How much of the budget are you allocating for updating journals?

Dune, one season for every book, Duncan is the only character that appears in every season

film the last scene of the of the series during the first with Paul spending time with Chani or whatever the fuck his Fremen wife was called

Eh, it gets the point across.

silent hill would be better and more accessible, wouldn't get a shitty fan base that would instantly see zombies and start watching because muh walking dead, either

actually has some adult themes to it too, you could only take resident evil so far with the racoon city incident, eventually you would have to start focusing on singular characters and expanding on shit that happened, thus making up your own canon unrelated to the main course of events

A show where I fuck alot of A/B/C-list entertainers. And people tune the fuck in to watch it.

who plays Hector and Paris?

A sci-fi series based in Niven's Known Space universe. The Man-Kzin Wars would be a great setting and you could probably shoehorn in shit like the Ringworld and Puppeteers and shit.

Game of Thrones spinoff/prequel following an explorer and his crew on a journey through Sothoryos or Ulthos.

3-part documentary series on videogames, from the arcade, to consoles, and beyond.

Robot Jox - The Series

Punic Wars

Seconded.

>watching Africans get literally removed from existence by superior European forces

I would also like to see this.

Stargate SG-2
>more titties
>more big land battles
>better Goaulds
>more guerilla warfare
>if it gets to episode 100 get the rights to Children of the Gods and just play that episode for 100

Karl Pilkington and Tommy Wiseau co-host a talkshow.

I like that idea, both are my favorite ip's that have been shitly adaped

Those characters are uncastable. It would be better off as a full CGI cartoon.

This.

OK SO THERE'S THIS GUY

I think you could get at least 5 seasons easy from just following the video games though.

>Season 1 we get introduced to Wesker as the main character
>entire season we think he's a good guy, researcher working with Birkin and perfecting Biohazards for Umbrella
>have them talking, being friendly just regular shit
>season finale is Wesker saying he's going to join the RPD and create S.T.A.R.S , Birkin unleashes the virus, gets betrayed by Wesker and shown shot to death..last thing before end is him injecting himself

>Season 2 is the Mansion incident when we realize Wesker is behind everything, meet Jill,Barry..the regular cast
>finale is them getting air lifted out while looking down at Racoon City being overrun with zombies, before ending we see a jeep and Leon steps out
>season 3 is in the city with Leon,Claire,Jill
>ending is Jill saying Chris is in Antartica

The show has really long legs and you could probably get to at least game 5 before stupid shit starts happening that you could change like Wesker not dying.

Not even a Witcher fan, but I would not miss a second of this.

In my head season 1 would be stars investigating arklay and the mansion incident, season 2 would be leon and claire's ordeal in raccoon city, third and final season would be jill's day lapse ordeal with nemesis, also being able to see leon and claire's wake not crossing paths but seeing the fallout from season 2. The story and tone and theme would be miles darker than the films and all shot in security camera angle glory. Soundtrack would be identical to the games but remastered and improved similar to john carpenter's style music.

which kino is this

Guy kills himself and ends up in limbo. Limbo is earth but he can't see anyone, it's like it's completely deserted. He comes across an angel and a demon but he doesn't know which is which as both claim to be an angel. Both are trying to lead him to their respective kingdoms.
Thinking very psychological drama watching this man try to escape the torment of life only to be thrown in a deeper torment after it.

Thinking I'd like to get dude who played Tobias in Oz to be the main dude and the angel/demon can be whoever.

Lee Tergesen. He's great. I really like your idea, hopefully there will be room on TV or streaming services for more mini-series in the years to come.

BPRD series

basically just follow the comics, start out with some random investigation, work up to the Frog War, its escalation up to Hell on Earth and end with an apocalyptic and hopeless battle for the planet

HBO IS BREDDY GUD RIGHT NOW

WESTWORLD AND HIGH MAINTENANCE ARE WAY BETTER THAN GOT AND GIRLS

A series based on the Yellow Turban rebellion.

An anthology series based on The Purge that ignores everything from the movies except the concept. It's an idea so stupid the right person could do something amazing with it.

A series about Cortez and the Aztecs, and the search of a couple spanish soldiers looking for El Dorado. I would highlight the Aztec gods as real as well. Have Ghosts and Daemons assualting the Spanish forces.

A show that follows the events of 2021 America in alternate world where a civil war rages across the nation. Follows child soldiers from 12-17 and watches them grow and change throughout the 6 year war.

This would also work, wesker and birkin other staff and personnel in the mansion, their struggles and dealing with eachother the experiments /chief irons until shit hits the fan. The episodes all end with a monologe /memo/log diary perspective from different individuals

Yeah, I feel a really good miniseries can blow full length shows out of the water. Band of brothers, night of. Miniseries making a comeback hopefully

I'd adapt the rest of Spice and Wolf.

Goin Postal
>the year is 1996
>Trevor Van der Merwe is a white South African living in a rural Midwestern town scraping by working a low-level sorter position at a post office
>one day people from around town start disappearing, their bodies turning up days later with obvious signs of foul play
>there is a serial killer in this quiet town
>one of the bodies that turns up is Trevor's co-worker and friend
>depressed and frustrated, Trevor decides to purchase a gun and go out and investigate the murders himself

It would be a 10-part mini series with the first and last episodes lasting 90 minutes and the others around an hour.

The protag is a recent high school grad in 1980's L.A / venice beach. A punk rock trouble maker recently let lose for the summer just wants to skate, smoke pot and drive his cutlass with his three closest friends while trying to find out what he's gunna do with his life.

He knows he doesn't want to get into the gang life; but after being sold on a get rich quick scheme he and his pals fall into a bike gang, and with no way out, they keep digging deeper and deeper.

The ultra serious tone sets this show very reliant on it's settigns; if this doesn't feel like 1980's L.A., nothing will. It's incredible setting, as well as the microscopic disection of the underground punk-skater scene, and everything that goes with it, it sells to the audience with lots of gang activity, nostalgia of youth, and it's raunchy life of 4 lower class youth.

I am retarded, and I do need a thesaurus to properly pitch this idea.

Pic related is what they would look like.

If you haven't seen John Adams, watch that shit.

I would do a miniseries based on Anna Komnene's Alexiad. It would cover the life of Alexius I, saviour of the Byzantine Empire. Plenty of characters, lots of intrigue, battles, defeats, victories. It would be perfect for a miniseries adaptation. And Medieval Byzantine/Crusader Outremer time period is awesome.

jews: destroyers of western civilization

starring mel gibson and jennifer tilly

>What is it?

Star wars: Knights of the Old Republic

do people have a problem with race mixing that bad?

fuck HBO, just give Bioware a budget and have them make a CGI movie already

only when its being pushed as an agenda constantly on every other show

Proper adaptation of "John Dies at the End"

First season would be an adaptation of the novel, with more room for Monster of the Week episodes. Structurally will be similar to "X-Files"

After S1, new seasons would be original. "This Book is Full of Spiders" can be S4 or S5.

I would include narration, because a lot of the humor from the books stems from it, but wouldn't overdo it. More visual comedy, but since I have the budget I would include really elaborate cosmic horrors

the only choice for Geralt

>giving modern Bioware any money
Fuck no. And besides, Obsidian has better writing anyhow.

some over the top gritty drama that just leads up to one giant bane-post

True Detective Season 3

I'm not defending their games, just their star wars cinematics

Don Quixote

I'd make a show about a middle age and slightly portly man, his attractive wife, their two kids, and life with his wacky neighbors and parents.

...

Get the Watch Discworld series funded

Damn, this right here.

Ss13 the show

Looks like Riki-Oh

Its a guy with a rare condition, he is the only one in the world with it
He cant touch anything alive, or they die
He struggles a lot and finds love in the arms of a robot girl

Pushing Daisies had a similar concept and it fucking sucked

You're a fucking moron.

It sucked because it was a comedy
I would make it visually a lot like Gummo
It would have only 8 episodes

Lea Seydoux would be the robot girl, with the hair exactly like in this picture, the male protagonist would be Keanu Reeves with a full beard and long hair

Also there would be an human female protagonist, who would be in love with the male protagonist but would become paraplegic in episode 5, she would be played by a young version of Bjork(yes, the singer)

Oh shit, that book is awesome

Jon Roberts was a piece of shit sociopath cold blooded murderer...

Who would play him?

Seydoux with this haircut

Sounds like your masturbatory self-insert fantasy

Take it to Netflix ya bum

and young bjork

10 episode series based on The question.

Maybe another series with Rene Montoya question.

An extremely faithful 9 episode adaptation of Tortilla Flat, don't know who I'd cast, but done right it would be amazing

Blood Meridian

Shot by Emmanuel Lubezki and directed by a hybrid director of Sam Peckinpah and Terrence Malick

...

Blood Meridianmind

You're blood brothers

...

Probably a Jarmuschesque series that's people sitting in the same room and talking two thirds of the time because I blew most of the production budget on cocaine and Nikes 2bh familia

Can he do athletic shit?

He's like 50 so probably not

my nigga

This is in my top 3 worst books I've ever finished. The fact that you have picked it as your dream project tells me a lot about you, chiefly that you're a fucking moron and you've read almost nothing.

Quirky sex-based game show with Anri Okita as the host and sometimes participant.

24 episodes a season, one new actress per episode.

He did a bunch of fight scenes for Hannibal

There's I fantasy I like to play with in my head that's essentially about the journey across the wastelands of post-apoctalyptic West Texas by a young man wandering out from the ruins of a defunct mental asylum.

The land he treks across would be a hybrid between Westerns and Ancient History & Mythology (Think the Searchers meets the world of Hercules with its giant monsters, capricious meddling Gods, and mysticism)

The general narrative would follow the man from place to place across the blowing sands of a ruined world, roamed by barbarian-like bands of ruthless motorcycle gangs, and the struggling outposts of humanity that have devolved into a series of City-States. As the MC is clueless of the outside world and how things turned out this way, a lot of the exposition would be told from the perspectives of the people he meets. Something I'd like to do is have different accounts of "The Cataclysm" be unclear and contradictory, as different people have different ideas of how the world came crashing down, so that it's always shrouded in some mystery.

I'd like to adapt stories from ancient Greece & Rome into a modern context, with the MC playing the part of historian who observes the heroism, the cowardice, the virtue & vice, the vicissitudes of fortune, the ironies of life, the wisdom & folly of all the people he comes across.

In my head it's all animated

Would the gods be real in the story?

It's something I'd like to keep ambiguous. There would be no scenes of the Gods climbing down from Mt. Olympus so to speak, but events might be transpire that could be interpreted as a higher power meddling with the affairs of people (and some people in the world would believe sincerely that the Gods were real & concerned themselves with people).

I'm a big fan of the ironic justice theme that runs through Greek history & mythology and that's something that kind of lends itself to the possibility of fate or destiny or divine intervention.

Pet Sematary. Miniseries. 100% true to the book.

Basically this

youtube.com/watch?v=sG_wK_Px338

It's unbiased and historical take on the very top of Nazi regime covering the period from 1939 to 1945. Personal and public lives of Adolf Hitler, Eva Braun, Hitler's generals and ministers and all the things that led to Reich's downfall.
It includes process of the final solution, moral dillemas of the warfare and it would take much after Rome in terms of that unbiased portrayal of how things were.

Old Mans war by John Scalzi. shoot it from multiple characters perspective, as they get split up at some point and you never really learn what happens to the others apart from how they die. Good read.

I think HBO would think this is a great idea if appropriate and well made script was provided, but doing an original take on WW2 is difficult.
HBO Reich series would likely look like Der Untergang movie covering much more time. As for the interest for these kinds of shows, it definitely exists. It always will exist, but competition in this genre is tough.

Who plays Diomedes?

This is such a terrible idea, I'd probably skip it. It lacks class. It has been long known that mythology on screen doesn't do well - with numerous examples.
As for Spartacus, that was a 2nd grade show HBO would never invest money into. I always hated it.

ave cesar

I'll use my exquisite understanding and sense of not only art, but TV audience to tell you just how far would your ideas go in reality. I'm not bragging, I really have this down to the science.

Forget this. Mass Effect might get on the big screen eventually because of its potential to sell merchendise, it's a terrible and too expensive for TV.
Netflix did this with their new show, it was amazing. HBO's Vinyl flopped, I think that's about it from this genre for the time being, but it entirely depends upon the script too. Want a good idea? American delta blues years plus supernatural stuff.
Okay, it could work. It would definitely have its audience, I assume. Seems more like Netflix sort of thing.
Nope
Never in a million years, Game of Thrones exhausted this for the entire decade. Good idea, but sorry
They'll probably do this actually, but not HBO. Some smaller company.
It sounds really good, it has potential for long time running and variety of characters. Its kind of a timeless idea, no wonder Sopranos did so well AND Breaking Bad.
Netflix, yes. But they now have Stranger Things

OPTION ONE:

> a show about Vor v Zakone
> an Eastern Promises style, but with some modern tropes tweaks
> set in NYC
> also, cartels, sicilians, chinks, armenians etc.
> main actor is... uh... idk... help me here, neo-Cred Forums, pls
> I'd do something like 5x12 seasons

OPTION TWO:

> a show made from Kubrick's Napoleon research
> limited series, obv, something like 8 one-hour episodes
> filmed in Europe
> I'd hire Mel Gibson as director and producer
> authentic languages
> biggest battles in TV history
> pick my Napoleon Bonaparte, neo-Cred Forums!

It would suck. Nowadays, HBO suits are much, much, MUUUUCH more involved in day-to-day operations on set and production, they're real pain in the ass. Even David Chase recognized it in an interview, he said that in 10 years of The Sopranos, he had maybe 3 fights with corporate stooges, now it's different times, the jew has become more and more involved.

>A is an American celebrity singer/dancer that is sort of dumb, keeps saying dumb stuff in public and getting into trouble. Something like Paris Hilton. We follow her private and public life discovering about her painful childhood, bad relationships with lovers and friends and the depths of her character that make her likeable. This explores the POV of a celebrity dealing with the fans, other celebrities, media and Hollywood generally
>A discovers she belongs to the 12 ayylmaos that keep reincarnating on Earth and posseses supernatural powers
>Other 12 are all kinds of people including losers she can't be seen with in public, but they keep reaching out to her and being around her
>She ends up in tsundere friendship with one of the guys, whose presence gradually changes her into a better and less spoiled person, as they all fight for some common cause

sci-fi/romantic comedy/sailor moon

A comfy sitcom with Adolf and Anne living as a couple while the world around them cruelly judge and misunderstand their relationship.

In the early-70s a popular Mormon folk rock singer-songwriter retires from music and starts a new LDS cult on a ranch in southern Utah. At first happy and content, he becomes increasingly unstable and paranoid and leads his followers on a killing spree targeting suburban families across the state, leading to a federal investigation and a raid on the compound that leaves every member dead.

Do an old fashioned anthology show with big actors and directors. Hopefully once new Black Mirror hits Netflix we get a bunch more shows like it.

Already happened
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heil_Honey_I'm_Home!

Show based on the book series Red Mars.
It will have everything HBO wants.
>interesting characters
>politics
>sex
>conspiracies

>Dresden Files TV show
>Dune, but good (like this guy said) (or this guy)

>Nightmare on Elm Street but without Freddy. Entire season is simply a drama following the family as it spirals from everyday suburbia to questions of child abuse/neglect that result from unexplainable minor trauma that shows up on the young (11ish) daughter. Follows the detective and parents primarily and leaves the audience wondering while slowly unearthing the skeletons of the family during the investigation a la Prisoners style (history of covered up abuse when a parent was a child, alcoholism, gambling addiction, depression, whatever). Final scene of the season finale is the father being taken away in hand cuffs and pans to the daughter at Detective Blankface's desk drawing on a piece of paper as she quietly sings "1, 2 Freddy's coming for you..." song. Second season Freddy shows up and it isn't corny; just terrifying.

Invincible

SCP the series
each season ends with the world ending and SCP rolling in resetting everything (the document recovered from the marianas trench)
you'll get to see some shlocky stuff like scp-682 getting launched into the sun
you get to see some scary shit like scp-173 chasing a death row test subject
you get to see some fun shit like scp-294
and every now and then there'll be some reference to safe objects like scp-458

>cancelled after one episode
sensitive much?

A biography of Mehmed II.
It will start from his birth till his death.

That sounds hecka tight.

The Dark Tower series.

david chase the sopranos

Adaption of John dies at the end and this book is full of spiders

Real sick shit. As twisted as the book

I'd watch it.

13 Episodes each 45minutes long just Anna Kendrick eating carrots.

It's a tv show about semen demons like Bryce Dallas Howard,Nicole Kidman,Jennifer Connelly, and me fucking/letting me pissed on them show.

Star Wars live action tv show about something other than faggot jedi and sith. Like Band of Brothers for Storm troopers and clones liberating planets or fighting for the great Sheev so Star Wars can have something other than cartoonishly "evil" villains.

Throw in some Hutts/criminal shit occasionally like on Coruscant and we actually have a cg budget because the dragons on thrones look fucking retarded.

Star Wars live action should have happened instead of Rebels because Disney is all about those Dan Schneider shows when they used to make cartoons and live action perfect.

Pixar killed 2D animation and Disney shows are fucking retarded now. The fuck happened to good animation balanced with live action? I loved watching Lizzie McGuire/That's So Raven(mostly Chelsea) with the various cornucopia of cartoons they'd play along with the original movies.

Same for Nick but Dan actually worked for them.

Was the John movie not good enough? I consider it one of my all time favorite movies, but I haven't read the book.

A show about me fucking hot women. No plot, no story, just fucking.

shadowrun: the series

make it an anthology

I don't think The Minion series would get greenlit by HBO though

Two words: Kubrick's Napoleon.

A complete anthology series of the Conquest of Mexico. Obvioulsy the central character would be Cortez. The series itself would not be a straightforward adventure, but rather a sprawling epic with no hokiness or tv tropes that plague even the most serious of television dramas.

A major budget and only one director. Probably Fukunaga because I think he has a masterful grasp on meshing serious film craft into the television format.

If you read up on it, it's extremely ripe for a serious television epic. Plenty of betrayals, violence, death, etc etc. You could even perhaps throw in some Lovecraftian "paranormal-but-not-really" aspects in there when we follow the Aztecs, especially at the beginning with the omens they believed they received about the upcoming conquest.

I dunno, I have a shit load of ideas for it and seriously wish for it to be made one day. I can't believe it hasn't been touched yet.

>browse thread
>all remakes of old franchises and adaptations of fantasy books and video games

This much r*ddit can only mean one thing

This is a hugely interesting area. It'd be a great opportunity to deal with a lot of the 'mesoamerica was destined to fall because they had shit technology and worshipped the white men as gods' bollocks. The Spanish fucked up multiple times, were on the brink of extermination by disease or military means a few times too. They often resorted to some pretty dirty tricks to prevail.

This Fukunaga meme needs to stop. Sure, he's great at visuals because of his cinematographer craft, but he's not a good storyteller, as evidenced by his flicks.

> a show about Vor v Zakone

Chekd and kekd

>Opening shot of a child with a large book sitting at a table
>An old but extremely well groomed Viggo Mortenson enters the shot
>"You wish to learn the history of this World?"
>"Let me tell you my son"

This.
Epic witcher kino, 7 seasons of pure witchering. It would also work as a replacement for GoT.

Berserk

>The first 2 posts are vidya adaptations

is this why the tv board is so shit? theres a load of v fags here?

Live action Berserk. Each ep is an hour long and follows the manga perfectly.

Witcher was novels long before the vidya.

>3 seasons at sea

>immature 12 yr old: the post

im surprised you dont already work for hbo.

Alright I had this idea for a while

>have a good comedy series, like friends or Seinfeld
>have two season of just plain good episodes
>then halfway through season 3
>have a brutal, horrible, murder happen to one of the characters
>we see it happen, maybe one of the other character witness it
>I'm talking evil, something like the rape in irreversible
>rest of the series is just them coping with it

I mean imagine someone like Joey getting stabbed repeatedly in the gut and face, with chandler watching it, powerless. Then the show is just chandler crying and maybe 2 season later he finally starts to be come funny again.

that or a good Walking Dead.

a series about napoleon from the beginning to end

I like it, but with the murder should come total change in tone and direction. I mean, coping isn't enough.

Black Company adaptation.

Or Gaunts Ghosts or Eisenhorn

>neckbeard weeaboo spotted

yeah, thats what I kinda mean, right after the murder episode no jokes ever happen again, just straight up depressing drama.

kek someones not getting laid.

Buts people talking about it now know it from the vidya game dummy.

So? It doesn't change the fact that the series would be an adaptation of the novels.

My point was about the people posting here tho, do you not know how to read?

Neither are you Dan.

HORUS HERESY

pure alphacuckkino, then again I guess it doesn't make much sense as a tv-series, unless they somehow get more screentime for pretty humans

I am still praying for Wheel of Time meanwhile

This, but no sequelbait ending

this is the best idea made so far by anyone on this thread. It's sick.

The Horus Heresy.

You keep that show on a tight 3 season limit and it would be cool as shit

Run it indefinitely and it will quickly become late-season GoT level terrible.

MEMBER ULLANOR?

...

Tale of the First Crusade.
Season 1 is the trek to Constantinople
Season 2 is Anatolia and the Levanet and the siege
Season 3 is the first decade of the kingdom.

James fucking Ellroy
Any trilogy of his series.
Shit would be so cash
>mobsters
>CIA
>FBI
>KKK
>Howard Hughes
>The kennedys
>Drugs, booze, sex and murders
>Post war L.A., Vegas and shitholes

names...?

Man Bites Dog but completely real

The episodes are filmed over time and released monthly, initiating an IRL chase as the police try to track down the location of the serial killer.

An anthology series that follows a mucguffin from BC era to the far future covering a variety of different stories and genres, which slowly reveals the true mystery behind the macguffin, which has shaped human history.

A show about the most unluckiest guy ever.
>losing your house because "superman" crashing in to it
>geting your car taken by the police for a chasing
>getting your coffe thrown away because someone's in a hurry and crashes with you
>being the hostage in a bank robbery

You know, the "extra" unnimportant people we see in movies and shows that aparently get in trouble. Imagine all that stuf happening to the same guy.

>show ends when the main guy is crushed by godzilla
A man can dream.

>jim carrey as lead

Thanks for the spoiler, dick

Man, it could end in thousands of ways.
But yeah I spoiled the best way. Sorry.

can i get all my favorite actresses to do nude scenes?

probably just bring back everyone from true detective season 1, and make season 3

I sat through pretty much the trailer of JDATE, but you've inspired me to give it another go user.
From what I can recall:

PWOT-era Jay Pinkerton >PWOT John and Dave >John Dies at the End Book> The First Few Chapters of Spiders>JDATE Movie

a lot of the stuff they did in the website days was really dependent on text, the kind of stuff that's really hard to translate into a visual medium (especially after bringing in cosmic horror)

Bring it motherfuckers.

WITHOUT A DOUBT:
GENE WOLFE:Trylogy of the new Sun (Shadow of the Torturer)
or
Dan Simmons: Hyperion/Enymion quadrology.

I would like to see Asimov's Foundation but god damn Severian or Shrike/Yggdrasil on screen, if done right it would shat on LOTR/GOT combined

A dark origin story of Carmen Sandiego

>DAW

Who is that?

>be pissed that Hollywood keeps doing shitty rehashes/remakes

>over half the answers are shitty rehashes or remakes

You guys are just terrible.

OK thanks.

Agreed that she goes on the Mt. Rushmore of THICC gingers.

I would do some kind of show about criminals or something. Maybe some kind of gentlemen thief show.

Turn A prequel about how the Turn X ended up floating around Pluto

TURN A TURN

TURN A TURN

TURN AYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

Capeshit has fried our brains.

A live action Macross.

>
>It sounds really good, it has potential for long time running and variety of characters. Its kind of a timeless idea, no wonder Sopranos did so well AND Breaking Bad.

I keep wishing with every fiber of my being for a feature film with Tom Cruise as Inquisitor Eisenhorn but I will settle for an HBO series with Jared Leto as Revanor.

Mark Wahlberg: What If?

Starring Matt Damon as Mark Wahlberg.
Narration provided by Mark Wahlberg.

The show revolves around Mark Wahlberg's more questionable decisions and situations but follow a "what if I were to do things differently" scenarios to it.

Mark Wahlberg would narrate what he believes to be better solutions and answers to the situations he found himself in the past and how he would change them if he could.

The final episode would be a three parter following Mark Wahlberg's heroic achievement of thwarting the terrorist's plans and saving the passengers from death, only to fall short of not being able to save the other plane. Which them ends with a monologue by Wahlberg explaining no matter how much you wish you could change things in the past, there will never be such a thing as a perfect ending.

>Starring Matt Damon as Mark Wahlberg.

im already hooked

will jesse plemons make an appearance?

Fund it.

Mark Wahlberg takes command of the Costa Concordia evacuation.

Think of the lives that could have been saved if he were simply on that ship.

what if we had mark during the vietnam war?

Yes, during Mark's teenage viokent drug habit days, but he will go uncredited.
