Gender dysphoria isn't a delusion, it's an irrational feeling of mismatched gender. If trannies were actually truly delusional, they'd be happy, it's the fact that they know they're not what they want to be that makes them kill themselves.

Cognitive behavioral therapy does not remove gender dysphoria. Electroshock therapy does not remove gender dysphoria. There is no medication that removes gender dysphoria, though I think there was one case where a guy took anti-psychotics and it removed it, but it has never been replicated ever and most likely they didn't actually have gender dysphoria. The only reason the medical community supports transition is because it's the only treatment that has ever produced results, even if it only works sometimes.

In the medical field, if treatment is not possible you focus on improving symptoms and quality of life. There is no magic cure to gender dysphoria. Do some research.

It's not about your genitals, genes, hormones or whatever. Because gender is not talking about sex and health, but about social places, what is expected of you in these terms of male/female. So far so good, any trans person would agree with this.

They are not sick, they don't need pills, they need to learn to deal with the difference between what they feel and what others expect of them. It's a two way road that we all have to deal with. Gender disphoria does not exist because gender is not something in your head, it is socially constructed, so the feeling of being born in the wrong gender is itself the allocation of a feeling of displacement that is entirely based of what you imagine the other gender to have that you don't. It's imaginary. One should go deeper in the question what do you think a woman lives that you can't live right now? If it is wearing dresses and by all means do it as a man, no problem. If your problem is that people don't accept you to be that way, then talk to an analyst and see how to work through those relationships. Because, first we were not really at fault, second because desire works in strange ways and so as a gym rat you may gain admiration of some, but not from others and third and most importantly, you'll learn that there is no guarantee of love and to be in need of the desire of the other will always lead you back to frustration. What may sometimes happen and what pisses people off on this matter, is that when people transition (or other self-transformations of this sort), they can turn their fault inside out. That is, if early on they thought "people don't love me because I miss this", later on when they have "this", they can say "now that I have this you must love me, otherwise you are the one with a problem". Hence why gym rats hate on those who don't love them. Hence why trans can come out as agressive.

Sexual preference is neither static nor it is something for us to be "blamed" for. It's an unconscious choice of allocation of our desire. Every sexual preference is somehow a fetish, even the norm. The question is how the others (aka society) deal with our sexual preferences and in turn, how do we deal with the way they deal with it (do we blame ourselves, hide it, fight to express it, transform it, etc). This occurs mostly under the track of our own radar about ourselves.

It's not about any conspiracy theory, there is nothing hidden there. Men and women are ascribed very different roles in our society, it has to do with the emergency of property, of the christian family and capitalism. It has to do with advertising and media as well, but the issue is structural, that is to say, one thing is merely reflecting all others. First of all, it's not a conscious choice. Important to stress that.

Second, it's not rootless or flightly, in fact it can become something quite rigid. It's developped mostly in our childhood and adolescence and then we are set to go. Doesn't mean it does not change with time, or with every encounter, but it's not as fluid as you made it sound.

Third, The norm is defined precisely by what is not accepted. If it is accepted, it is not the norm. The norm is a social construction of what we accept, of what we consider to be normal or abnormal. Each society has a view of what those are. The same logic goes for when you say we desire masculine men and feminine women, well but of course we do, we cannot desire anything other than that under those terms, because they define each other. What does it mean to be a masculine man? What does he wear, how does he talk, how does he live? Each culture will have an answer. Same for feminine woman. The idea is not that "men can be feminine" or vice-versa, but that we could live without notions of feminine and masculine, and thus man and woman, to be attached to certain behaviours, most importantly that one would have the power over the other.

Forth, is not about "fixing" anyone, more about hearing what the problem is actually about and take the other's suffering in consideration (or itch, I'm taking "suffering" broadly here). This way in which sexuality and identity work cannot be forced upon the other in such a straightforward manner, the person is the one who develops it themselves. That's why it is structural, it depends on everything else and also it depends on how you introject and begin to express your desire. It is like so for everyone, straight, gay, trans or what have you. There is no need to fix the other person, as it does not concern us. It's our problem if we don't accept trans people, and it's their problem that they feel the need to be in another gender. Both of these problems must be worked.

Are those purely social constructions, somehow brought about by the globalization of capitalism and Christianity? Second, that we see in others what we recognize in ourselves and so we may have been glancing over the difference between cultures (or have it actually destroyed by invasions). There is a huge variety to the way families are organized, what is taboo, what constitutes gender, how they deal with their sexuality, etc. But the point is not that we don't owe anything to these other cultures or to our own past culture, we can think of what it is desirable for us to do next. Those particular ways in which society have organized itself may have sprouted from certain necessities of those times and most of them are covered.

On your second point, there is something more subtle to be said. The question is whether this movement is about fighting against what constrains specific sexual desires (ex: moralism, don't be gay or trans, etc), or if it is a fight against sexual difference itself, to be post-sex. Slavoj Zizek has a talk about this somewhere. I think it should have nothing to do with denying of the sexual preference, sex is always about excluding that which does not turn you on more than anything, but about, in some way, to allow others to unravel their own ways to deal with their sexuality. Which is not to say this sexuality exists in a vaccuum, unrelated to other people, that's why I think it is worrisome that some guys are thinking they are women because they match what they think being a woman is about.
