Because people at a fundamental level are weak, feeble fools who will do literally anything to avoid gaining knowledge and self awareness and will flock to the most stupid fucking things because they're simple and distracting and different.
Humans en masse have absolute zero self awareness and that's where literally all our problems come from.

This character could be funny, but the sketch has no punchline.

There are some funny things there, but I think she should work with a script. Improve isn't working for her.

The key to good improv is doing material that is spontaneous but doesn't LOOK spontaneous. Take her joke about "Don't look at things in my room" for example: it goes on about 20 seconds too long. Take down the chicken, move on to the next joke. It's clear she didn't have another joke after it so she just rambles about "don't look at my things" for an additional 20 seconds (a long time in sketch comedy).

Give her a script and maybe I'll watch...But this just doesn't do it for me.

I watched the first episode, it wasn't actually that badly written, some of it was funny, it's just her character and acting that are unbearable. Like I get that she's annoying on purpose but that still means she's really annoying and the satire is too broad to make up for it.

Also I skipped to the last few scenes of the final episode and apparently it's one of those comedy shows that suddenly turns into an overly serious drama. Also stole the ending to The Social Network, basically.
